An appointment costs an extra $8.00, but no disclosure on the phone restaurants don't charge for reservations. I was given an appointment I didn't ask for and taken late , barber didn't speak English?!? Foul mouthed customers with children present yet owner David doesn't care. Dirty, disorganized & dusty. I drive from bronx to get a hair cut up here. Russians are the best of the best in NY. Plus these guys are funny and the atmosphere is great. David, the owner, takes pride in his work and makes sure you get what you want. Sometimes I take his recommendations and it just works. Guy knows hair. Got a customer for life. read more

I've never wrote a review so here's a list of why this barber shop is the best in New York and you should NEVER EVER GO TO ANY OTHER BARBERSHOP THAN PRESTIGE. -from the minute you walk in you'll be greeted and made to feel like your the most important person in the room - you won't be rushed or have a rushed haircut any barber you have will spend as much time as you need them to make you look how you want to look - every barber can do many different styles of cuts for years I had my hair on the longer side and then I went into fades and shorter cuts... they can literally do it all! - the list can go on forever but I'll just say that because of there skill and dedication to making people look amazing and the atmosphere they have you will never, NEVER walk out of the shop without feeling like 1 million dollars just got to prestige you'll see what I mean read more

Clean, modern shop with 7 chairs. I had my hair cut by Scott and he did a fantastic job! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he did exactly what I was looking for. He was very detail oriented and made sure I was happy with the final product. All of the guys made good conversation and were pretty funny. I think I was the first customer of the day and after a few minutes customers started rolling in. Seems to be a popular place with experienced guys. Very reasonably priced! read more

Clean shop with some really good barbers. David and Joseph do an excellent job. Joseph is a really personable dude and can start up a conversation about anything. David is more quiet, but gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Pricing is on par with any other barbershop in the area, I mean you might be able to get a cheaper cut somewhere else, but it won't be as good. Parking is a pain in the neck, but if you go after that bagel shop next door closes you can park in their lot. It can crowded, this is a popular spot, but well worth the wait. They have a few TVs and a sound system so at least it isn't a boring wait. I come down from Somers almost every two weeks for a cut, but worth the trip for me. I have been to many barbers before as I revel here regularly... These guys are amazing I got an awesome fade from Jesse... With very little instruction. He knew exactly what I wanted and executed to a tee! Knew exactly what he was doing and really is just a master of his craft. Lastly the price!!! Popped in here for a quick​ cut after a car wash across the street and boy am I glad I did! David cut my hair, he and his brother Mike own the shop. I got a great cut, I knew it would be, you can just feel it when you have a talented, confident barber. The short wait I had was fun because I got to watch all the barbers do some great haircuts, fades, crew cuts and fohawks and with precision and excellence! My friend was with me and he also got a trim, it turned out later that his future son-in-law is also a client at Prestige Barber Shop and he is the best-groomed​ guy I know! As a man who has lived all across the country and loves his taper fades, it's safe to say that I've been in my fair share of barber shops. This is the first time I've felt enthused enough to write a review. Every time I walk in the door I am greeted promptly, with a smile. The politely inform me when I can go to the chair and always guide me in the right direction if I'm on the market to try something new. All of the staff here are friendly and courteous. I brought my son here for a haircut several times. But I've had enough. When you walk in, you'd think you walked into a frat house. A lot of cursing and chatting with their regulars. Not paying attention to the new people who walk in. When I tried to explain my son's haircut, the barber (michael's brother, I forgot his name) always end up being patronizing and rude. He doesn't know how to talk to kids (or to moms), he sounds like he's picking a fight in a school yard. He probably had a bad day coz my son's haircut ended up uneven with a couple of nicks to boot. My son is 9 so it's not like he didn't stay still. For a couple of $ more, go to the barbers in Pelham, or the new one in New Rochelle Road in Bronxville. At least they'd treat you better. I'm sure their "regulars" like this place, it's a place they can hang out. But for new customers who would like to try this place out (especially for a kid's haircut), DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! Best spot for cut. If your from the area finding a decent barbershop is hard to come by. Reading the reviews it's easy to say this place is worth a shot and yes I'm sure we've all got a haircut we truly hated but that's no reason to give this place one star. Having said that the only downside is parking which can be more stressful part. Well worth checking out and if the person doesn't understand you why bother even sitting down or taking a chance. My first time there the shop was about to close and they were getting drinks and they offered me a drink I wasn't even a regular client. Too bad I moved over an hour away or I would continue to go there. read more

This barber shop is very good. They have professional and friendly staff and good prices. They are also good with children-my family goes only to Prestige for haircuts, including two boys (4 & 6 years old) and they have been coming here since they were born. All of the barbers are very talented. If you go to Mike or David who is the owner, they tend to rush. They give haircuts in 20 minutes or less! Also, there is a $7 surcharge when booking an appointment. It's clear that they put money #1 and the customer #2. There are barber shops at every corner on North Ave so I'm sure you can find a more welcoming option! read more

I was in the area near Iona College and was looking for a haircut. I literally wandered in off the street. There were a few guys ahead of me. I was politely approached by a barber who asked me to have a seat and someone would cut my hair in a few minutes. A female barber called me to her chair. She was very professional and gave me an excellent haircut. I enjoyed her conversation. I will definitely be back. read more

Good environment but too pricey. I'm guessing cuz they want to rip off the Iona students. Paid 18$ for a half ass low fade and an uneven lineup. My barber took a half hour to fade the left side of my head, the clippers were starting to get really hot, he also missed a few spots so I have some patches on my sideburns and behind my ear. Stay away from the barber all the way in the back. I was told they did a good job here but I wasn't impressed. If you're in the new Rochelle area check out the barbershops in the west side of New Rochelle, might have to wait a little longer but you'll save money and get a good quality haircut guaranteed. read more

No credit given to a barbershop with lack of effort and attention to new customers. I asked for a gentlemen named Mike and he was available, he was just finishing up with another customer and he told me to give him 5 minutes.. No problem, I then was told by him to go see another fella that barely spoke English.. Umm ok, you know I asked for you, you fuck, anyway this other guy misunderstood what I was asking for "a line up"!!! Like wtf, who doesn't know what a simple line up is.. Anyway this guy made me cringe and I was in pain as he lined up my beard line.. Something so simple I can do a better job with a straight edge.. In the end I got charged $11 fucking dollars for a line up and I recommend that no one go to this place in new Rochelle. Save your time and go somewhere with quality and respect. read more

if your like me and recently moved back to new rochelle you shortly see a pattern of barber shops around every corner. Now the question is which one do i go to? after stressing over it then you start realizing thats only the start of your worries because then you start wondering what barber is going to cut my hair? Well listen I'm here to save you the headache and stress that it caused me and let you know that prestige is the place. its reasonable price, its clean, the barbers are very chill and most importantly they know what there doing. only downside is that it gets crowded on the weekends but then again if it wasn't then thats telling you maybe you should be going somewhere else but the wait is well worth it. However parking could be better but it is what it is. overall if your looking for a place, hit them up. read more
