Well. They could improve by answering the phone. I have called multiple days and time and have literally never spoken to anyone because they NEVER ANSWER the phone. I mean ever! I've been on hold for 40 minutes on 5 different phones. This dr. Office is an utter joke. I can't even get my medical records from the 1 and only time I went there, because they won't answer any phone calls. Absolute joke of a doctor. My 1 star review is generous. read more

Dr Kochy Tang is wonderful. However the receptionist is a horrid woman. She shouldn't be the first person interacting with patients.

You're not going to find a better doctor than Dr Tang. The woman is a force of nature. Thorough, incisive with her questions, unfailingly honest and candid. All doctors should aspire to give care at the high level she does. I am thankful to be a patient of hers. read more

NOT AT THIS TIME, that's the word repeating in my mind right now and I'll tell you why. I work across from the M Casino and been looking for a new doctor and came across this spot from Cigna. I had no idea there's even a doctor's office in the casino to begin with. So I was excited to call them up and ask if they're accepting new patient. This was maybe 2 months ago, the lady on the phone was nice enough to say not till December for next year's new patients. Ok great, so I go there today on my lunch break, took some walking to find it (I'm not the type that ask for direction), it's located near the M Spa (downstairs) walk towards the UPS store then make a right and you'll see it on your left. It's a small office, when I walked in there's one guy waiting and I see the front desk lady is on the phone. So while waiting I was admiring the Koi gold fish tank they have. Then the lady slide the window open and asked 'How can I help you?" So all I ask is "Are you accepting new patient?" She quickly goes "Not at this time" and before I can squeeze out another question she was quick to shoot me down with "Not at this time" I can tell "at this time" this conversation is going nowhere, I'm talking to a parrot so I politely said "Thank you!" and went on my way. read more

Dr Tang has been my doctor, for more than 15 years. I happily drive 45 minutes to her office. I am so grateful, and lucky, to have someone that cares so much about me. I love the doctor/patient relationship we share. We are brutally honest with each other, and no one ever gets offended. I enjoy the fact that she helps people in medical school and let them intern at her office. I don't mind being the guinea pig, so to speak. The fact that she's been teaching future doctors, for years should tell you something about her character. There's NO ONE I trust, more than her. read more

RUN. If I could give less than 1 star I would. This place is a joke of a doctors office. First and LAST time I'll ever be coming here. The receptionist is rude as hell with her uptight attitude and condescending demeanor. First red flag. Second the NP that I saw said she was going to send me to for all these labs/tests and write me a prescription for my symptoms...I got no prescriptions for absolutely anything...they did do blood work and the girl wore NO GLOVES. I was given a gown that was obviously used since it had holes and wrinkles all over. Talk about an unsanitary environment. I came in for concerns about headaches and the NP asked me if I can see auras....like what? What kind of joke is this? I was told they were gonna send me to the lab to get my urine tested and get an MRI ... it's been over a week and I haven't gotten CRAP to go see anyone. I also had to call them since I didn't hear about my blood test results after 7 days and all the receptionist said on the phone was "oh yeah your labs are fine" isn't this some kind of HIPAA violation? ...I didn't even get told what I was tested for?! Not only that , but I emailed them to send my test results over which they did send and when I asked for someone to call me to go over results she said she would get someone to call me shortly...guess what I never got? A damn phone call HA. Idk how this place has so many good reviews... read more

I'm writing a review in behalf of my husband who's been going there for years. He's always complaining about the unpleasant experiences with the receptionist. His words was that the reception has been rude as hell and a "b" with every interaction he has had with her. If Dr. Tang wasn't so good, he would stop going there because of the miserable receptionist. I've been a patient of Dr. Tang's for the last three years and have only now decided to write a review because I realize how really pleased I am to have her as my primary care physician. Here are the reasons why: -She is super straight forward, no-nonsense, and caring enough to listen to and work with me and my desires for managing my health. -Blood is drawn in-house and lab results are always received within a few days by phone. -Referrals are made quickly in the areas outside her expertise. -Staff is friendly, sharp and promptly and efficiently answer questions regarding test results, meds, etc. They also return phone calls! HUGE!!! -I also love that I have only ever waited to be seen within 10 minutes from my arrival time. ALSO HUGE!!! I have really thought this through and can honestly say my experience has been unprecedented in my nearly 14 years in the valley!!! read more

I'm a US Navy annuitant, newly retired after a 34-year career, newly relocated to Las Vegas, and a grateful new patient of M Family Care. The purpose of this review is not geared specifically to my wonderful doctor/patient experience with this 'best-of-class' internal medicine practice in the 5 or 6 interactions I've had over the past few months. It's aimed, rather, at some of the somewhat vague 'complaints' offered on this review-board vis-à-vis the M Family Care administrative staff. I'm compelled to write this because these truly wonderful staff-members are in the unfortunate professional situation of not being able to reply to these nearly incoherent, not-well-thought-out chastising reviews. To be clear, in every interaction I've had, the staff has treated me with more than just exemplary professional and responsive service. They've been uncommonly kind, the sort of kindness one might find within a Spiritual community. It's sad to see someone take a cheap shot at this staff, without thinking we're all human beings, going through the vagaries and vicissitudes of life we all do. Any one who doesn't feel life is 'a hard battle' must not be paying attention. In summary, the front-desk staff have all shown a certain, constant, and compassionate ear in setting up the medical services to which I'm sometimes in need. They have made things easy! I use to drive 30 miles to see Dr. Tang and my husband didn't understand why. He does now that he has been to her office. Luckily we've moved closer to her office but I'd drive 50 miles if I had to, maybe more. I've been a patient of Dr Tang's for over 14 years now. Wow time flies! I've moved to the other side of town and still can't leave her practice. The office is always quiet and clean and I always feel welcome. My appointments are pretty sporadic but I'm always able to get in when I need to be seen and Dr Tang is punctual and good at getting me in and out so I'm not spending the whole day there. That being said, she always takes enough time with me to answer any questions and find solutions to any problems. I'm so proud to have her as my doctor, especially because she is open to treatments and holistic therapies that are outside of prescription medication, when it is not necessary. BEWARE! RUN AWAY ASAP!!! Have been a patient of Kochy Tang for over 10 years. Had a concern about some very sensitive information (HIPAA) being shared unnecessarily. Reassured by staff it would not be shared. Well, it was shared & by Kochy Tang herself. When I voiced my concern, instead of Kochy Tang addressing the issue like an adult, and as a professional should, she discharged me instead. Quite the cowardly move. One can only assume the doctor feels like you're beneath her, so how dare you question her? I have since filed a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Health and Human Services. read more

Overall, I have been pleased with M Family Care, so this rating is just regarding my most recent visit and is to warn others during Covid-19: NOBODY IN THE ENTIRE OFFICE WEARS A MASK. I thought it was strange that the 4 or so people behind the registration counter (a very small area) all were without a mask. Then, even more disturbing, when I entered for my weight, etc. the employee did not have a mask...this is the same person who then came into my exam room for temp, blood pressure, etc, again without a mask. Then, during the course of my visit THREE other people entered my exam room, and all of them physically touched me and spoke to me in very close proximity, and not a single one wore a mask. How is this the accepted practice in a doctor's office, of all places? read more

As I've read in another review, the staff here is extremely rude, condescending, and ill-equipped for person-to-person interaction. My pharmacy faxed their office about a refill for a prescription and they didn't call me until a month had passed. By that point, I'd gotten my prescription elsewhere. The staff is completely incompetent and rude, particularly the heavy set Latina receptionist. She gives a ton of attitude over the phone and in person. I also happen to know that Dr. Tang is prescribing narcotics irresponsibly to patients who are not in need of them. So, that may be a redeeming quality about this office if you're looking for your local drug pusher. One thing's for sure, I will not be back. read more

Let me begin with the statement that Dr. Tang is a wonderful doctor. That being said it is a shame that I give her only one star due to her staff and the attitude that they give her patients. In today's world we sadly deal more with a doctors staff we do than the actual doctor. When sick or (heavens forbid) are in need of a refill on sensitive medication, the last thing anyone should be made to feel is humiliated or patronized by someone who makes appointments on an excel sheet. No longer does a doctors actual bedside manor matter as much as the doctors staff. This is not a one time occurrence but sadly it will be the last. I have put up with the snotty tone of voice and the belittling attitudes by people who have NOTHING to do with my care for long enough. No one can compare to the excellent treatment I have experienced with Dr. Tang. I have found her to be the most caring doctor I have ever met. You know what they say about "nobody cares what you know until they know how much you care"? Yeah, that would be Dr. Tang in a nutshell. Very bright clinician, super inclusive, dynamic practice. When you're in the exam room, she's clearly listening to understand. She is also creating a care plan - if you need one - that you as a patient understand and can feel comfortable with. Her goal is making you feel better, and you can feel that when you speak with her. She's accessing, not judging, super honest, very helpful. She's a great teacher. Her staff are competent and seem to enjoy their work. Waiting room is calming and tranquil. I love the fish! Sadly, I have to downgrade Dr. Tang. Yes, the things I said before are true -- she is honest and caring. But neither of those can take the place of competency and thoroughness. Over a year ago I showed her a huge lesion on my ankle. She glanced at it and said "That's a wart." She didn't get close to it, didn't stare at it, didn't touch it -- just a cursory glance. I had to choose a new doc when I went on Obamacare and this doc looked at it and sent me to a dermatologist to have it checked. I had it biopsied and today I got the results that it is squamous cell carcinoma. ONE YEAR AFTER Dr. Tang told me it was a wart. Please, if you have any doubt about anything happening to your body, choose your physician carefully. Unfortunately, as nice as she is, Dr. Tang is simply incompetent. read more

Dr. Tang is without a doubt an exceptionally gifted physician. Our immediate and extended families have been her patients for many years. She possesses a truly amazing mind with an uncanny attention for detail. She truly cares deeply about all of her patients. Although, she might not always tell you what you want to hear (or exactly how you want to hear it), she does tell you what you need to know. Dr. Tang's diagnosis's have consistently proven to be spot-on accurate. She regularly performs training of medical students from the local Touro University Medical School and she also performs a great deal of volunteer work for local children with Down Syndrome.
