Como latina que soy a veces me es dificil conseguir a una persona que hable mi idioma, MJ Capelli tiene estilistas que hablan ingles y español fluido, Recomiendo mucho a Evelyn (Evy) Ella es tan amable y contagia con su buen humor y paciensa, Ella es una gran estilista, a mi en lo personal me hizo un cambio de morena a cabello platinado, tengo muchos cumplidos de la gente y me preguntan donde me cambiaron para bien, ella tambien me ha maquillado y me hace tratamientos para cuidar mi cabello a un precio rasional, nunca te cobra de mas porque solo cobra lo que se gasto en quimico, amo a mi estilista y siempre sere fiel a ella, ella me lleva cafe y me hace sentir fenomenal. I never write reviews because it's just hair and it will grow. But I honestly hate the cut my stylist did. I had hair down to my butt and I just wanted a trim. My hair is now to my shoulders. I don't understand why stylist take it in their own hands to cut it what length they want. I stated multiple times that I wanted to keep my length and just trim the ends. 2 inches MAX. I went from butt length hair to my shoulders. I never get my hair cut and wanted to treat myself and I am very upset and disappointed. read more

i asked for a shag with not much length off of my hair and she took at least 8 inches off without me realizing, i agreed to 4. My hair is not at all what i asked for or showed in inspo pictures and i am very disappointed, i have been afraid to cut my hair professionally because of this reason and this salon just solidified that fear. my hair is way shorter than i wanted and it took me years to grow it out. i don't recommend this place if you are looking for anything other than a very basic cut. read more

I used to go to MJ Capelli's for many years. I had to go back about 3 times to get a bad cut fixed by someone who was better than who cut my hair but it was usually okay. The haircut was not the problem. The last time I went there I think it cost me $22. Their website says they charge $24 for a men's haircut. I was charged $34. I said there must be a mistake and was told that was the price. I feel like I was ripped off. I won't be back. read more

I called the Fargo salon on 13 ave s near 33 st and asked to make appt with someone to wash/condition and trim my daughter's hair and then blow out dry and style it. Assigned to Kayla and I confirmed in person that I wanted her to blow dry and style my child's hair after the trim. However after the trim Kayla just sat my child under the chair dryer instead and walked away without talking to me about changing the plan from a blow out/style. Kayla then told me to pay even though my child's hair was still wet. My child was uncomfortable sitting under dryer chair for a very long time while it did not appear to be drying her hair at all. Although Kayla then did agree to use a blow dryer, she said she did not have time to do the style /curling iron even though she had already charged us for the style rate. I went to the 32nd Ave location yesterday. I asked for a haircut. I said I wanted a half inch cut. i also asked her to layer it a bit, still a half inch. she layered it all the way to the top. it's way to short and looks bad! ( in fact it looks like her style that is old fashioned. she said she's been doing hair for 20 years) I have a wedding coming up and there's no way my hair will be grown out by then. I'm really disappointed and will never go there again. what a mess! read more

What a nightmare...wanted to get my roots touched up, some cooler low lights put in and my hair curled for family photos later that day (My regular stylist was out of town so thought I would call the "Color Experts" since they are well known and I was sooo disappointed. ) I told her of my wishes and told her that my hair has red tones and I wanted COOLER tones so that it didn't look washed out.... My stylist was clearly distracted, the computers were down, she had family drama going on, and after applying my color her hubby came in and she disappeared in the back for well over 45 minutes. Never once checked my foils. I was getting a little nervous because as a first time customer felt she should have at least looked at my hair..(She actually said that she may come back, she may not! ) Once she finally came back we rinsed the color off, I could sense that she was a bit panicky, she mentioned that she had to "tone" my color down a bit because she couldn't leave me looking like "Big Bird", seriously, her words. I could tell she realized that she left it on too long. She added toner well over 6 times and was rubbing it hard on certain parts of my head. Once she was done with that she realized that she had another customer waiting so wasn't going to dry my hair, I reminded her that remember, I asked for a style as well? She rushed the dryer process and threw a few curls in. Needless to say, $165 later, (yeah, not cheap) my hair had orange streaks, was brassy and dried out. I called back right away and went in the following week to have a different stylist try to turn down the brassiness. She did a moisturizing treatment but that was a waste of time. She added a few cooler highlights but since then my hair has been like STRAW. It is breaking big time, I have a 2 inch section at the top that is broken off. I have layers where I didn't have layers. I Went in and talked to the manager, she only blamed it on my "hair tools" and the "Dry winter" and said that "I would have noticed the dryed out hair right away" well I did!! She NEVER apologized, only made excuses, however she gave me a couple small sample sizes of hair mask to help, big deal. I learned my lesson. I should have known, everyone was booked that day but there was one opening there. Now I am trying to keep more hair from breaking off. :( Ugh.... read more

I have been getting my hair cut at MJ capelli for years. Last summer I asked for a trim and the stylist took over 8 inches off. My hair went from waist length to shoulder length, I chose not to write a review then, and went to another location, the 13th Ave location by natural pet center. I asked for a cut and layers, with a shampoo. When the stylist was finished cutting my hair, she asked if I needed anything else, so I asked her to try my hair as it was sopping wet and I couldn't even tell how the cut really looked. She refused to dry my hair saying I paid for a shampoo and cut, and that she didn't have time to dry it. When I got home I dried it, and while it looks nice it's not exactly what I had asked for, and I was astonished by her refusal to dry it. I have never left a salon with a head of sopping wet hair before. I may have to reconsider where I get my hair done, which is sad as Kelly is a good friend of mine, so I try to support her dad's business. read more

Marie Roland is amazing! She's a really great colorist and does amazing special occasion hair! She also is really great at recommending awesome new products! Definitely a lifesaver for someone like me that likes to change up their hair often! Definitely would recommend her to anyone! read more
