My appointment started 20 minutes late (that time was not made up on the back end); the "body scrub" was rushed and not at all thorough; the technician waited a full 10 minutes to come back to the room after the scrub/wrap, despite being in the room when I turned the shower off (it literally takes 30 seconds to hop out of a shower and onto a massage table, so I have no idea why she waited so long to return). The "massage" was bare minimum--it's basically just them applying lotion--and it fell far short of the 20 minutes that was advertised. The owner/manager was not there on the day of my appointment (I expressed my concerns to the women at the front desk; they said they couldn't help me but said they'd have the owner call me). When I later explained to the owner/manager that my appointment was cut way short and that I certainly wouldn't describe any of it as relaxing or pampering, she offered me a $20 credit (the service cost me $125). I let her know that I don't live in Fargo and have no use for a credit (nor would I want to return and spend (ie risk wasting) even more money); she became argumentative, claiming that my story didn't align with what the technician told her. I can understand why the technician lied about what happened--that's what people do when they're at risk of being reprimanded or possibly fired--but I don't understand the owner/manager's response. I'm a veteran and I chose Affinity because it's veteran owned, but it's way overpriced for what you actually get and they won't even try--in good faith--to make things right when they go wrong. Save yourself the trouble--and heed the advice of the other 1-star reviews; go to one of the many other spas in the area.

While looking at the extension samples, Kimberly said that she would have to dye my hair first and then choose the extension that matched the best. She failed at matching the color to the extension. The day after the extensions were installed, there was some pulling and tension. Kimberly told me this was normal. After a week, it was just painful. I noticed that my scalp was red and blistered. So, I reached out to another local Babe-certified stylist for a consultation. She told me that the extensions were painful because they had been installed incorrectly. She was also confused as to why the color did not match. I also sent pictures to Babe, and they said, based on the pictures, that the extensions were not installed the Babe way. To get these issues corrected, I had to pay to have the extensions removed, then pay to have my hair dyed the correct color, and then pay to have the extensions reinstalled. The new install used half the amount of extensions, the color matched perfectly, and there was no pain. I reached out to Kimberly to let her know, but I never received a call back. After not hearing anything for a month, I decided to dispute the charge on my credit card. On top of all these issues, Kimberly Trenda charged me a 5% service fee to use my credit card. This is illegal as the limit is 4%. I wasn't planning to leave Kimberly negative reviews and wanted to put this awful experience behind me. Unfortunately, when Kimberly learned of the dispute, she decided to put me dox me in a Facebook group. She created a post informing other stylists that I disputed the charge. She added my married last name and my previous last name. She even went as far as to dig up old photos of me and posted them in the thread. She is completely unprofessional, and I highly suggest not using her services. Who knows what she will do if you are unhappy with a service?

Another time she wanted me to use a certain product but she was out so she wrote it in her book to call me when it came in. I never got a call. I emailed her about hair color and she responded the next day that she would find out and let me know. Again, no further contact. My opinion is that she is great at hands on hair cuts etc, but a complete airhead at keeping promises. I can't depend on appt or callbacks, so I now go elsewhere. I guess that is why she is at a college where it's mostly drop ins and there is always new clientele every semester.
