A wonderful and friendly business. For some reason going to jewelers makes me nervous -- going in not knowing exactly what you're looking for can be intimidating. When I walked into M. Lemp however, I immediately felt welcome. They were extremely attentive and helpful. I wanted to create a custom piece/repair based on a band I already had. They made it so easy and the prices were surprisingly affordable. I also wanted to have a ring resized. We ran into a small issue where another ring I wear daily measured smaller than the size I usually wear, so the resized ring ended up too small. When I returned to try the ring on, they noticed right away and took the ring back to fix and resize quickly. When I returned again, the ring was perfect. I really appreciate that they were quick to notice and resolve the issue. The custom piece turned out beautiful -- it was a gift for my mother who absolutely loved it. Worth noting as well, they offer really nice gift wrapping. I'm not sure when I'll need a jeweler next, but I'll definitely come back to M. Lemp when I do. The staff was extremely helpful in getting a pocket watch repaired. Most jewelry stores do not have anyone they can send a watch too (and especially a pocket watch). I'm very pleased that the staff was able to look at and determine the problem...and get it fixed! Besides the repair, I found the staff friendly and welcoming. Looking around the shop, I can see the Lemp's has a nice selection of jewelry. I was told that the second floor has "jewelry for the home", but didn't have time to explore. Located right in downtown Syracuse, they've got a great selection and can order you samples from Lashbrook or Diana if there's something online you'd like to see in person. Because I got my engagement ring there, they offered us 20% on our wedding bands and free cleanings whenever we were planning to take photos (or have our wedding) or any other reason. There has never been an issue with them...and I wear them 24/7! A few years back, I wanted to change the setting in my engagement ring and had 5 decent sized diamonds that could not be transferred to the new setting.
