I went to the M Lounge on June 24th and the place was packed and the band( Jeff Gibbs) was great.

Great atmosphere! Really enjoyed the music! Everyone is very friendly! Would defined come back... the drinks are great!

I recently visited M Lounge and had an amazing time. I used to frequent this location during my late 20's and early 30's and it is just as nice as I remembered it then. This is a very cool place to go, relax & listen to live music on Tuesday's and Wednesdays. On Wednesday's I suggest arriving early if you want a seat. Booths always seem to be reserved so seats at the bar go quickly. Even though I consider myself a "regular", small groups receive priority treatment. Drinks are good but I do agree with a previous reviewer when it comes to the Tito vodka. The taste just does not seem to be what it is at other locations so I understand his comments. This is a very nice grown and sexy spot.....the crowd is mature, the drinks are reasonable and the ambiance is great.....and there's no cover..my only gripe is they don't have food...other than that this is a great spot to go chill or listen to live jazz on tuesdays and wednesdays....... read more

I went here on this past Sunday for a private birthday party and the atmosphere was wonderful. A very cozy and intimate setting. My wife and I along with a few friends and their spouses enjoy getting together once a month for a nice midweek drink in a warm comfortable setting with great service and music. The M Lounge is the place. Our group was there last night for the second time and we have already planned our next visit. The staff is professional, friendly and quick. Drinks are very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is wonderful for small groups to stay close while enjoying the lounge and occasional impromptu conversations with other guests. Last night the Delivery Point band did just that with their smooth R&B mix that had everyone engaged and singing along when not applauding the talented musicians. They don't serve food but will let you order (they keep menus from the local places). read more

This lounge is a ladies and gentleman's affair! It has a mellow vibe where you can have a conversation without screaming your lungs out. Getting a drink can be a hassle. Plus the place can get too crowded around mid-night, so consider getting there early. Otherwise, you don't get a seat and will be standing at a tight walkway all night. read more

Big Fan!!! This was my first time at M Lounge - I went there for a birthday gathering. I made reservations at 9 o'clock - my area was clean and ready for me. The service was attentive and the owner was very accommodating by moving our growing party to a larger area. I wasn't there during a live music performance but enjoyed the selections that were playing in the background. All in all our party had a great evening. read more

A group of us went here after work last week and we were deeply disappointed. First, the jazz, while good, is loud. Conversation is strained and there's not a ton of space for hanging out in a larger group. The cocktails were "meh" at best. The martini was actually terrible. The rest were fairly uninspired. I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you're looking for a good time. Its one of those places that you're suppose to like (because it has jazz, is "classy", etc.), but you actually don't have much fun at. read more

The world needs more kickback places like this to have a drink. The music is good, falls in to the 80/90s Hip-Hop and R&B. The music is loud but not too loud that it prohibits conversation. It's an awesome place that you can kick back and relx and have a drink. I will say the only downside is that all of the cocktails on the menu seem sweet. I would like to see a bit more liqour focused manhattan style drinks on the menu. The bartender was super friendly and I could see myself chilling out here for a while. read more

This is a great neighborhood spot. You truly feel at home there. Great drinks, great loungey feel, safe area, it's great. Trillion is my favorite bartender, and the owner Reggie is a close second. Classy older vibe, and I'd love to come here on a live music night. I think the term "grown and sexy" was invented for this clientele. Fantastic service, decent prices and the variety of martinis pleased my companion... I stuck with red stripe. I went here recently after hearing about it for a few years. It was a holiday (the 4th) so the place was quiet and cozy. Music and drinks were good, the crowd was small and mature so I enjoyed that. I will definitely be returning soon. I'd like to hear the live music.Parking took forever to find but its a really nice place so it's worth it. read more

I ablsolutely LUV the M Lounge. Great drinks, great vibe = a great time to be had. What more needs to be said?

Many places consider themselves upscale, however M Lounge shows and proves. I love going here to grab a cocktail alone, or with friends. ALL of the bartendars can pour a great dirty martini. Most people just add olive juice and say drink up. This spot clearly understands that bartending is a craft. The wine selection is very good as well. I was there in January and I heard Reggie tell a customer that he ordered the wine she suggested. I love the fact that they listens to their customers needs. read more

I ordered 2 $20 tickets (plus fees) for the super bowl party. All the tables were reserved so it was lucky I got there early to sit at the bar. I asked the ladies next to me where do I show my ticket and they proudly bragged they didn't have to pay to get in and they had access to the premium food (which ran out twice) and the bar specials and a free mimosa just the same as me. The games they were referring was "squares" so it you didn't have money to buy a square you couldn't play. I only had access to the tv screens over the bar so I couldn't take advantage of the 110 in TV. It's turned out to be pricy, crowded and only one ladies toilet. The bartenders were nice and the host was great but it was definitely not worth the value. read more

Please do not fall prey for the 4 star reviews of this place in Yelp, don't even know how people give this place 4 starts. Drinks are way toooooo sweet it's like you are drinking sugar fruit syrups and poor bartender. We ordered the drinks based in the bartender's recommendations n when we told her the drinks were not nice and they were nothing but sugar syrups she just smiles and does not even offer to make any changes to the drink so we can enjoy them. Bad bad drinks n worst is this place is crowded, loud n very dingy n dark looking. Nothing nice about this place!! It does not even deserve this one star!! read more

When we first started going there, we thought it was a pretty cool place - staff was attentive (the mime and his girlfriend were fabulous!), drinks were good although on the higher end price, music was good and ambiance was nice (good make out seats). Recently things have begun to go downhill - the owner does not attempt to recognIze repeat customers (although the bouncer greets repeats like they are his long lost buddy), clientele has become more rude, and the sourpuss bartender makes you want to sob in your drink. The other night my guy and I arrived at 11pm, and although the sign states the place closes at 1am, we were told that they were closing early since most folks had left after the jazz ended, notwithstanding the fact that there were people drinking at the bar! Needless to say, you can't run a business with misleading advertising, let alone one that doesn't acknowledge old customers who provide them with regular business, so it's going to take a lot of changes before we'd go back there. read more

This cozy little nook is truly a find! Yes, the room is small, but that allows for a lot of mingling and getting to know your bar or booth mates. A laid back atmosphere topped of with great drinks. The quartet was fabulous and the martinis were perfect. What else do you need? It was a Tuesday night, we relaxed into comfy chairs, and enjoyed wonderful music. The bartender creates a classic martini, large glass, filled to the rim with extra olives and served with a sparkle in his eye. I've been to the M Lounge s few times over the past three years and it never disappoints! I love the adult crowd, mostly 30 and over, and laid back atmosphere. Was here last night with a friend and while it was not crowded, there were just enough patrons to move around comfortably, and enjoy conversation. It's a long small bar, with seating throughout. A good spot for after dinner drinks and music...definitely a cozy date night spot. read more

Visited M Lounge while in town on business. My new GO TO spot whenever I'm in Chicago! Atmosphere and ambiance just what I was looking for! Great music, great food, awesome service! Awesome place for dessert cocktails. I had the chocolate and banana split martini. Both are delicious. In addition, I went on a Thursday with my wife and enjoyed live jazz music. We were not ignored and the staff came by several times. Would definitely go again. Was the highlight of my Chicago visit. read more
