Dennis did work on the carpeting of a home we were selling last summer and did a pretty darn good job that I called him to come do some work in our new home. However, it seemed he did not want our business. He answered my call and asked what it was we needed. I told him up front that we are out in McLean but we are happy to pay any travel surcharge or mileage fees. I told him of our situation - that this was our new home and that the previous owners rescued senior dogs who left behind urine stains and odors in our master bedroom, our walk-in closet, and a hallway. He responded that this was going to be very difficult to do, he was going to have to go through a lot, use different chemicals and processes, so on and so forth. He then told me he never should have asked me what it was I needed, and that he actually never should have answered my call. In the service industry I can understand being busy and thinking that, but being told that as a customer put us about 90% in the direction of not using him. However he then told me he was busy now but to text pictures and phone numbers to his cell, the last two digits of which I missed because he was so fast to hang up on me. Initially I thought maybe it was too small a job to come out this far for, but I explained to him that our master closet was the size of a standard bedroom (200 sq ft) and the bedroom itself was about 500 sq ft when including the hallway that led to our bathrooms (the biggest problem area anyway). We didn't give up yet because we didn't know who else to use and decided that maybe he'd be more comfortable talking to my husband, since he arranged the previous service with him. My husband called him and spoke with him again about the service we needed, but Dennis began giving him the run around about being unsure of whether his truck was working well enough. Dennis was hardworking and punctual. But we did not see the results that we are expecting and not respectful for the house. Did not like him using our counter tops for his work shoes. We also found that he put our mattress in restroom before I could get it out of his way. The carpet might be old and some stains tougher to get them out which us ok but being not respectful to the property is not what we liked. read more

I contacted M&M Cleaning and left a message. Dennis (the owner) called back within 10 minutes. I explained I was being relocated and needed to clean my carpet in a hurry. He made time in his schedule to fit me in. He arrived on time in commercial truck. The machine in the truck is huge. This is one professional system. He explained the process and price, then got right to work. I expected a fast clean which could get most of the carpet clean. Dennis got EVERY stain out. Not exaggerating. He even got down on his hands and knees to get every little stain out. I was shocked. One tiny stain (size of a penny) he focused on until it finally came out. Didn't give up on it. If Dennis tells you a stain cant come out, believe it. Still cant believe how clean my carpet is. He even raked it! He also left booties so your feet don't get wet and then left me a bottle of spot remover. I've used carpet cleaning companies in the past and they were nothing like Dennis. You can tell he takes pride in his work. He worked hard, no breaks. After 2.5 hours, he was done. He works harder than people half his age. You don't find service like this anymore. I tipped Dennis because of how well he did. He went above and beyond and he deserved it. If you don't choose Dennis, you likely have made a mistake. I am very happy and will tell all my friends. Never imagined that my carpet would end up looking worse than before it was cleaned, but it's true! And this is even after he came back a 2nd time to treat the spots and stains which were not visible prior to the cleaning!! My biggest complaint is the level of unprofessionalism. I was not home for the 2nd cleaning, and he had the nerve to tell my KIDS things like "I didn't know she had dogs" (he commented about my dogs barking upon his first visit) and "it's not my fault" and "your dogs need to drink more water" and "she expects perfection on old carpet" and "she didn't clean up after the dogs had an accident". You may think you know my cleaning habits and what my dogs need, but sadly for you, you do not. I never expected perfection, but I CERTAINLY never expected to have worse stains than before your cleaning. I could have let the bad cleaning job go, but your unprofessional behavior is what earned you this negative (and public) review. Will never use again and do not recommend. read more
