I liked the way they did the assessment and estimate. So when I saw something I thought of them first. They came over and gave an honest assessment that we did not need work done. Great! I asked if they knew someone who could fix an outside porch deck (about 10 by 12 and 100 years old well made with pillars supporting the roof etc). Surprise surprise but they could. While they don't advertise it, they do this type of work too. So he gave us an estimate a few days later. Seemed reasonable to us for the work. Turned out it was because once they tore the deck up it was clear more work was needed. They did it without any issue, and no cost increase. Fab. The two Employes who did the work were polite and quiet. No loud radios blaring. No shouting. No nonsense. Even our neighbors were happy. With all the rain the work took longer than expected, but only because of rain days, not because the actual work took more time. So the estimate of time was right on. If you need roof work, or even deck work, I'd call Naples and see what they say.

Naples Roofing was recommended to us by another roofer who does not work on that type of structure. So we called them & their estimate was close to what a different company quoted last year. Naples understood what needed to be done and, unlike another company we spoke to, did not try to tell us the garage needed to be torn down and rebuilt for twice the money. After we signed the contract & paid the first 1/3 of the cost we had to wait about two weeks for them to do the work. It would have been a longer wait, but they had a cancellation. So three men came by at 9:00 a.m., tore off the old roof etc., and put up twice as many wooden rafters as the contract had called for! They put a new plywood roof, covered it with a waterproof membrane, put up new fascia & some type of protective plastic around the edge, & cleaned out a gutter at the edge of the roof on the main house that I couldn't get to, which had weeds growing in it. They hauled all their trash away, they were pleasant & polite. Husband & I are delighted! The only criticism I have is that they didn't keep in touch with us as far as scheduling the estimate, or scheduling the work. Husband & I are retired & are usually at home & didn't know in advance what day they would be there. Their work is obviously high-quality & it is guaranteed for five years. Out of all the companies that did show up ( 4 out of 5), Adam was the only estimator who actually went up on our roof and walked it to see how everything looked. Because of this, Adam's timeliness on coming out as well as getting a professional and itemized quote submitted to us and the reasonable cost, we chose to have Ava install our project. The contract was signed and job was scheduled within a week! The crew protected our house and did a great job stripping and installing new plywood, removed an old electrical service pipe that was no longer needed and reshingled our house in one day. They cleaned up the yard and left everything in great condition, which with our yard being wet and muddy, was a big hurdle! The gutter installers came a few days later and had our new gutters up in a few hours. They had their work cut out for them because it rained a great deal the days before so they were fighting mud as well. My house looks amazing with all of the improvements that Ava performed for us! Ava had to come back to fix the issues we (as homeowners) uncovered, like: -used finishing nails instead of roofing nails in high wind areas -not tarring over exposed nails -had rippling of shingles in the back of the house -ridge vent didn't get added to the full roof -broke a beam and originally used a 2x4 on one side, didn't even notify me that this happened. -didn't cut soffits where they were supposed to -put feet through our ceiling in 2 areas and I discovered it on my own They fixed all these things properly and quickly, but only after I called to explain the same sub contractors they sent back originally, didn't do a good job fixing some of them. So then I asked for their actual internal installers to come out and fix. When they did that (sent Billy), the craftsmanship was much better. Now, 4 months after installation, my brand new bathroom vents are blowing air back in and not as strong anymore. We discover it's because of the way they installed the the roof vents. The grates are pushing up against the opening so they can't open fully. I'm beyond frustrated that poor installation caused all these issues to appear! Although Ava has come out each time, if I was an uneducated home owner, I would not necessarily be able to find these issues and push to get them fixed. If you choose to use them, make sure it's not a subcontractor doing the work and that they are using their internal team.

I was impressed with the positive comments given by past references who described how he hung the moon. (Now I am another on that list.) The work was a few projects, including a gut job on the bathroom and kitchen that had him removing a partial wall separating our kitchen from the dining room to create more light and an open plan, replacing old electrics, replacing all molding, moving door jams, insulating walls, installing new kitchen cabinets from Kitchen World (which are great), and overseeing the work of the hardwood floor sander, plumber, and licensed electricians. For the bathroom, they removed 7,000 lbs. of lath, tile, plumbing, and materials from our 1940 original bathroom and created a beautiful new one that really complements the period of our house. I'm glad to share pictures with anybody. His prices are very fair. Bill's team are hard working guys who show up at 7:30 and work a full day with professional demeanor. They clean up each day. Bill took care of a few extra smaller projects that needed doing and it made me feel great.
