We highly enjoyed our trip in and around the Chesapeake Bay. It's a little disorganized regarding finding the entrance/dock if you want to jump on the boat last minute. It's to the (R) of Schaefer's restaurant. When we finally found someone they were helpful. We went on the Sunday 4pm (2 hr cruise). We ended up getting one of the booths at the back of the boat and sat by the bar area. You can bring any food and/or drinks you want onto the boat which is great. Otherwise they have a fully stocked bar in the back and prices aren't too bad. They inform you of all of the birds and anything if significance you pass. Tom & Steve are the owners. They are very nice. The cost was $19 per adult and $10 per kiddo. I did appreciate that they didn't play any music so we could converse. read more

My husband and I had a lovely sunset cruise on M/V Summer Breeze on a Saturday evening. We actually originally wanted an afternoon cruise, but by the time I went to actually book it, the time was sold out. So book early, however, the sunset cruise is definitely the way to go! I thought about how the cruise would have been minus the sunset, and it would have been ok; however, the sunset was gorgeous, so I highly recommend that time slot. The cost, I believe was $16 per person, and drinks are available on board (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The cruise length is 2 hours and goes up the Susquehanna River and then back down to the Susquehanna Inlet where the river meets the Bay. The captain was friendly and eager to talk about the high points of the sights along the river. Most parties were able to go without sharing a table (they are long tables), but my husband and I offered to share with another couple so they could also have access to the water views rather than sit in the interior. The pick up and drop off point is a short walk from the town center, but there is also a parking lot you can park in. Bathrooms are available in the parking lot as well as on the boat. I'd definitely recommend booking a cruise, especially the sunset cruise, if you are in Havre de Grace! read more

We had a delightful tour out of Chesapeake City on the Summerbreeze . It was a cloudy and windy day so we were thankful the windows could be closed . Captain Jeff did a great job navigating. Olivia was the bartender of the well stocked bar. It wasn't crowded so we had plenty of legroom. Would totally do this again and bring lunch! read more

It was a beautiful day to take a relaxing boat ride. Two hours is just right and timing for dinner after perfect. I do recommend you make dinner reservations at Schaefer's if you want to eat there after the ride. They wouldn't take same day reservations and the wait was an hour at 4pm, which is normally slower. Could have been the gorgeous weather but be prepared this is a popular restaurant. read more

We had such a wonderful evening on the sunset cruise. The Captain and his crew could not have been more accommodating to all of the guests. We learned a lot about the area, the Susquehanna river and some history. There are fairly priced drinks aboard for those who chose to have a cocktail, beer or wine. I'm giving M/V Summer Breeze a 5 star rating and we didn't even get to go on the boat tour! We had to cancel our reservation due to someone in our group coming down with Covid-19. M/V Summer Breeze's cancellation policy is clearly noted while making the reservation so I knew it was less than 48 hours when I had to cancel. I was hoping that they would credit me for a future tour. Steven C. went Above and Beyond replying to my email and wished my friend a speedy recovery and refunded me the total for all 3 tickets. An enjoyable, laid back, evening on the Chesapeake! No frills, just open air fun with a beautiful view - we loved it. The captain is very accommodating, there's a full bar to purchase drinks from, you're welcome to bring food to make it a dinner or aperitif cruise...in any case it's 2 hours of relaxation on the water. I had an incredible time out on the water & couldn't have been more pleased. The owner, operator, & all staff were incredibly pleasant & took wonderful care of us all. I would give negative stars if I could. We booked a tour and the day of, there was a huge thunderstorm. I tried to call multiple times to see if it was canceled and no one answered. Since then, for the past 3 weeks I've been calling and emailing to see if I can be refunded or given a different date to go. My Daughter and 7yr old granddaughter and I had such a Great Time! The Captain and co-captain were Absolutely Fantastic. Not only did we get a 2 hr cruise we got history about HdG, Port Deposit ! Went on a Friday evening for the sunset cruise. Great crew - friendly, caring, fun-loving, timely. As far as drink service - the beers came quickly, shots seemed available BUT the mixed drinks took forever. We were literally half way thru the cruise before 2 mixed drinks were delivered that were ordered before the boat left dock. Second drinks were faster. Maybe make up pitchers of the mixed drinks offered before hand because it seemed to be to much work for one bartender on a rocking boat. We still tipped good cause everybody was so nice and trip was good fun. There was NO chance of rain on the day we went and that is probably the only time I would book a trip. I will most likely go again and would recommend taking a bottle of water or something in case drinks are delayed. Everyone was thankful I brought crackers along to keep the stomach settled. read more
