Jen is WONDERFUL: passionate, creative, incredibly responsive, and genuinely invested in making your wedding everything you've dreamed of. Kimberly, our day-of coordinator, was also 10/10 FANTASTIC. She went above and beyond for us and made sure every detail was taken care of so we could actually relax and enjoy our day. Honestly, the entire staff is so friendly and clearly cares a lot about this business. My family couldn't stop talking about how wonderful everyone was! And speaking of the big day... it was perfect. Asheville weather is a bit finicky in regards to rain, so we decided to hold our ceremony, reception, and dance floor indoors. The outdoor area has many seating areas or spots for pictures, including a fire pit and a koi fish pond. We got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue is, one couple even said they may have to book this venue too! The bar was one of the highlights of this venue. Drinks were delicious, and kept flowing. The staff here is absolutely fantastic, Dawnn was our coordinator and she made everything flow so well. Things were set up and packed up behind the scenes. By the end of the night, everything was packed up and ready to be brought to the car.

It was a very chilly night so we didn't utilize the outside space, but having seen it in daylight previously, I can say that the gardens are beautiful and picturesque. The inside is warm and inviting and has beautiful use of wood in the structure. The sound system is amazing for background music. The high-top and 8' tables and chairs were nice looking and in great shape, which is very important. The bar area is beautiful and was thoughtfully accented with holiday decorations. First, I would like to say what an amazing, accommodating staff!! Alexandra, the wedding and events director, was so helpful, pleasant, kind, efficient and responsive. She is totally amazing. She was on-site, helping clear dishes and making sure everything went smoothly throughout the entire evening. We typically serve "heavy hor d'oeuvres" in a buffet style, which is what we did for this event. Chef Joey was so easy to work with in setting the menu and was open to suggestions. He and his staff did a phenomenal job on everything from the amazing food to making sure the buffet was nicely arranged and full of food at all times. Let me say again, the food was amazing! The bartender was pleasant, efficient and very nice. The drinks she made were great and my husband said she treated him like a king. I was told that renting it out on a weekday is super reasonable- only $65 an hour. You can't beat that! I love hosting large parties at my home, but I can never fit the amount of guests that I want in my tiny little home. Anyway, the venue was set up in a beautiful way- full of antique and vintage furniture items. They have restrooms, but I'm not sure if they have a kitchen. I've been told that they will set up the room however you'd like it. When I was there, they had out three very long tables and I think there were about 50 of us. They have a few parking spaces but I was able to park in the alley to the right of the building. Not sure if that's allowed. I will DEFINITELY be planning my next big event here! What a fun place!

I have been here many times-mostly for pop up craft/art shows, once for a 20's themed birthday party and most importantly, for my own wedding rehearsal dinner. Renting the space for the rehearsal dinner was easy and the owners were super helpful and accommodating. Their contract is very clear and their prices are very, very reasonable! We had 50 people total for the event and when we arrived the night of the party, they had the space set up for us with their dining tables and lovely chairs arranged as well as a serving station and bar area. Their furniture is what makes this place so incredible really-they have absolutely beautiful mismatched furniture, vintage and rustic looking. This is the type of space that you see all over Pinterest. I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a small event venue for a wedding or birthday party. I wish I had better photos to add to Yelp because it really is an absolutely gorgeous space!

I understand the help situation the gentleman claimed he was the only one in store, therefore there was no help. The chairs were also dirty, on top of the service. When I dropped them back off, the group of gentleman decided it would be okay to be nasty with a customer and they don't have to help load the stuff. Setting up the tent couldn't have been easy on the slightly uneven ground, but their crew got it done efficiently and safely and it looked fantastic. Chairs, tables, linens, chafing dishes all arrived in good shape. Only slight glitch was that the battery-powered generator wasn't fully charged at delivery (fortunately, we had an electric supply nearby and were able to charge it before it got fully dark). Drop-off and pick-up went smoothly and the staff was so patient and helpful with all our questions in the weeks leading up to the wedding. I would definitely recommend this rental company for a wedding in the Asheville area.

They refused to refund our wedding after Hurricane Helene forced them to cancel the date we had…read morealready paid in full for, citing a clause in the contract which allows them to wriggle out of giving you back any money you give to them. They would only offer to reschedule. We were obviously disappointed but managed to whip up a truly incredible wedding locally in Raleigh instead. We decided we wanted to have a small vow renewal next year at Homewood so we could have the ceremony we imagined while also keeping our money in the Asheville community with our vendors. We asked if they would reschedule our date and give us a partial refund as the scope of the event would be significantly reduced. They again refused, again, citing the clause in the contract. We made a completely reasonable request - requesting that we be refunded the difference between what we booked initially and what the new event would have cost and they refused it. The entire situation left a really bad taste in our mouths and now we want nothing to do with these people. They showed themselves to be cold, cynical business people. They can throw a wedding in an empty room next year for all we care.

Please PLEASE show us outside because we expressed our specific desire to have it OUTSIDE!! -The bridal "suite" was a complete joke. First off, you are overwhelmed by the smell of mold when entering. It is not actually a "suite" at all, but rather a dark room with a separate cramped bathroom to get ready in. No bridal dress would even fit in that teeny tiny room. -During our tour of the property, Julie interrupted a bridal party who was actively engaged in their rehearsal. She made two elderly women get up from their chairs so that we could sit down at a table in the ballroom and look at some photos of the property while Julie disappeared into an office for twenty minutes while she "ran numbers" for us. We found this to be extremely unprofessional. We should not have been interrupting another family's special moment and she should have taken us back into a private office to speak. While she left us alone for what felt like a century, we kept asking eachother if we thought we should just escape while we could. Yikes. -The ballroom is beautiful but the venue is TINY! If it were up to Julie (who, remember, doesn't think you should have a ceremony outside in the winter!) both the ceremony and the reception would take place in the same small room. Nooooo thanks. -The linens are not included. (....what??) -The "decor" and plates that are included are super bland and almost purposely boring. There is only one set of dishes to choose from m. PROs: -During Julie's 20 minute absence, she created and printed out an estimate of cost that broke down all our expected costs. She didn't want to go over it with us, she just handed it over and said "it was nice meeting you both!" Soooo yeah. We will be getting married at The Farm in Candler. They've got it so much more together there and everything is included. Update: We have received several badgering emails from Homewood basically asking "have you picked us yet? Do you have any more questions? Hellooo??" When none of the either venues we toured behaved this way. Just leave us be!
