Let's start with Ambiance. The wine cellar, was built in the 1400's, and now is one of there main…read moredining rooms. The decor matches the age and this place has ambiance galore. If I could, it would be a 10 out of 5 stars in terms of romance and history.
We went with a group of people and it was a set menu. We started with a mushroom soup that had perhaps not the depth of flavor as the best mushroom soups I've had, but it was very good.
Next, as our main course, we had Swedish meatballs, gravy, and mashed potatoes. Without a doubt, these were the best Swedish meatballs I've ever had, and they also should get bonus points above and beyond the five star service.
The dessert was a very serviceable apple cake (yes, cake, not pie) with an excellent vanilla cream sauce they called "custard."
Service was a bit robotic, but we were a group of two dozen people, so basically, there goal was to serve food and collect dishes. Because of that, I can't really take service into account on my overall rating.
This restaurant is in the heart of the Old Town, so easy to get to and recommended.
