Found some fantastic deals at Mac. Bids. I have saved 80% to 90% off retail. You do have to remember most of the items you are bidding on are returned or overstock items and may have dents, scratches, missing parts, or in desperate need of repair . So always bid with that in mind. However, many of the items seem to have been returned but appear like new. For example, I won a humidor that retails for $200.00 and got it for under $20. It did have a broken hinge, which was promptly fixed with a bit of glue. They do let you inspect the items prior to bidding on them, which includes even opening the box and taking the unit out. I even was able to try on some work shoes prior to bidding on them ! The staff is as nice as they can be !! Always willing to help me in any way they can. read more

Honestly this is a tough review. We did not have too many good things come out of this place. They don't let you return anything that is broke unless you pay more money when you buy it. We bought quite a bit of items that we thought was a good deal only to find out when we got it home it was either broke , or totally usable. They want you to pay monthly if you want to get a few special privileges over not paying. Like free transfers. We did get a couple of things that were usable and worth what we paid, while the bad out does the good we decided to delete the app and stop going. Way too many items broke and a total waste of money. While auctions can be fun trust me and stay clear of this one. Not a fan and have no desire to go back. They do not go through and check anything they sell. They do have a area to try stuff but again unless you pay for returns you are stuff with your items. read more

Just know that 80% of the items they sell are broken, damaged or missing vital pieces. Most of the items you get you're simply paying for garbage. MAC.BID Anderson SC The listing for the item we purchased was incorrect! We purchased 1 set of Dumbbells and 1 partial dumbbell. The Associate Tim tried to return the partial item equalling $1 and not the more expensive item that was supposed to be a set. He told us if he returned the $99 incorrect listing that he would have to take both items even though we bidded separately for them. When we asked him why he would return the $1 item he said it was policy and he doesn't have time for this very rudely. We asked for the managers information and he said we don't give that information out to anyone. Tim was snappy and rude. We purchase often from this location even though it is 2.5 hrs from our home. I never would have expected to be treated in that way. We would love to speak to the manager and we completely understand that it was open box but the listing said dumbbells and not dumbbell like the partial. The retail prices listed reflected this. Well if you enjoy online auctions; you'll really like this one! It's gigantic! For some reason both my wife and daughter have recently developed the urge to do this. My daughter won ten items! I accompanied here because she's expecting our third grandchild and I didn't want her to pick up anything too heavy! No problem! Daddy can and will do it! You go online; win some bids; the order is picked; labeled and placed in a pre- assigned rack in the huge warehouse! You arrive; you check in; you grab a cart and find your winnings yourself! Concerning the closing of the Mckees Rocks Location: This is really a disservice for all that live in this area! On top of all the fees 20-40 dollars or more then add gas traveling to the other locations (because you've already stopped with most transfers add 5 dollars to that), where is the savings? Might as well just pay full price for this stuff, at least if its defective, broke or have parts missing you can send it back to the store. read more

I love the deals I've gotten here, but buyer beware. 6 months ago I left a 5star review on google and it was accurate. Company policies have changed recently, so I felt that in order to be honest to current policy, I should post another. Old policy: $2 lot fee 15% surcharge. Damaged -as is. Open-box can be refused onsite if buyer sees damage or missing parts. Like New - can be returned if buyer gets home and finds any issues. New policy: $3 lot fee 15% surcharge. Damaged -as is. Open-box NOW as is! Like New can be refused only on premisis before checkout. (That means you are out of luck on electronics and heavy items that you cannot really unbox there). You may think the new policy changes are minimal, but in actuality, they are major. You would now have to buy the "optional" insurance on everything to protect yourself unless you were sure it could not possibly be broken. The only good change there is that it is a flat $5, whereas it used to be $3 for low dollar items and around 3% of RETAIL on high dollar items. In conclusion, I've only found around 3% of my purchases to be broken. You can get great deals here. Just be careful to calculate all the fees into your purchase price when bidding and be willing to accept the possibility that your purchase might go straight to the dump if you do not pay the extra $5 insurance per item. read more

Not recommended. Open box policy is equivalent to a bag of trash. One can inspect but can one power the unit on to see if it's been trashed???? One would have better chances of a good deal at Goodwill or the flea market. Very deceptive descriptions. Both items I "won" are trash and yes Mac Crap, lesson learned. read more

items listed like new can be 10-15 years old. they don't check. if you can actually go look to see if your items were there and how they look that's great but most can't go check because they work. you can buy $26 worth of items and if it's $1 items you still pay big time. $26 came out to $109 what the world. you may get a few good things but a lot of it is just TRASH!!! read more

DO NOT expect customer service. I received an email stating that my item MUST be picked by tomorrow 1/1/2024. I drove 2 hrs just to find out that they were closed. I wrote an email since the customer service line NEVER followed up and called me back. The email stated basically. The website said they were closed. I read the email not the website. I had a membership and spent thousands of dollars but they will not get anymore out of me. Their customer service has gone away. So if you need my $16 keep it. It is the principle of the fact. I have won approximately 2 dozen auctions and the prices have definitely been attractive. BUT, once I picked up the product there were often defects that i was disappointed with - infant tub that was previously used (gross), LEVELOR blinds advertised as 31 x 74" that must have been cut much shorter and returned, an Under Armor hat that had dirt spots and sweat stains, a ceiling fixture that was missing all the mounting hardware. You CAN purchase a 5-day (non-refundable) protection plan which allows you to return, if you want to factor that into your total price paid. And you can pre-inspect the item, but often the warehouses were not close to my home. read more

Buyer beware. Mac Bid defines "open box" differently than the rest of the world. They literally sell garbage and label it as "open box". I bought a table saw that looks like it had been used for years and then thrown off the back of a truck. The blade was destroyed, the fence had grooves cut into it by the blade and the table was rusted. It was in such poor condition that I was afraid to plug it in. It didn't really matter whether the motor ran since it was entirely unsafe to use. They have a "damaged" category, but a destroyed blade, rusted table, missing parts and a damaged fence apparently don't qualify for the "damaged" category. Never again for me. read more

This place is a rip off I paid 223.00 bidding for a lawnmower and these people take no responsibility in selling items that do not work you don't test stuff is the reply after you get bad merchandise but before that is we do our best to label items broken or damaged or what it's missing but I got two lawnmowers one electric missing a whole battery and never mentioned on the listing so I turn around buy a battery for 50.00 from this place and it still doesn't work so I let that slide but this is crazy I paid 223.63 they didn't want to make it right when you sold me a lawnmower with no blade , no bolt to hold the motor down and no string to pull to crank it but I should have checked it . It's the least you could have done if your selling it . I've had several items that have not worked .... But I've never spent 223.00 for them but an ice maker , coffee pot a fan a electric grill etc. this is about as bad as gets the stuff looks new and is broken shit they know doesn't work and they still sell it should be against the law . I'm going to file a claim because it's just the principle. I will never purchase again from this place I recommend you go to the actual store and buy your stuff stop making these crooks rich.
