They are GREAT! I bought a lap-top there as well as a huge epson printer (the #7890) and most recently a new i-Pad. With the Mac Lap-top it came with five one-on-one classes (1 hour each). It was sooo helpful. Don't think Apple would have done that--I'd still be waiting in line!! They are so competent and friendly. Also very competitively priced for the level of service they provide. My printer is about two years old and when I had a glitch with it, they immediately provided me the name and number of a repair person (an actual human!) and she was able to walk me through the problem in about 2 minutes--easy for her -- but with only an 800 number I would never have resolved the problem. My iPhone froze and I took it to them hoping that it could be restored without wiping everything out and restoring from iCloud. Twenty minutes later I was on my way with the iPhone fixed and NO CHARGE! You don't find service like that everywhere! read more

Charged $100 to tell me that I needed a computer forensics specialist. Technician spent 1/4 of the time confused about why his own airport wasn't requiring him to enter a password. Didn't even have a place for me to sit down. A $40 diagnostic fee would have been understandable, but $100? Waste of time and money. Two stars because the technician did answer one or two questions, but really felt as though he was unqualified. read more

Mac Business Solutions ROCKS! They just made me a customer for life! I needed to repair my computer, and I called other stores but none of them had the repair part I needed in stock. I found MBS and called them. Austin answered. He had the repair part in stock! And when the other stores said it would take several days for the repair, Austin did it in 1 day. Austin is just great. It is truly rare to find any business with such excellent staff, that offers such professional and timely service, and understands the meaning of customer service. read more

I had an issue with my Macbook Pro where my display screen went completely blank. It would not turn on but the keyboard lights were still working. I made an appointment with Apple so they can resolve the issue and they were trying to charge $500! On top of that, I would of had to purchase an external hard drive to back up all my information and send it out which would of taken 3-5 days. I was not happy about that, so they gave me a list of Apple providers and I decided to take my laptop to MBS. Andy was the technician and he saved my life. He was able to fix my laptop without having to ship it out for repairs. He literally fixed my laptop in less than 24 hrs. This will be my go to place, if I ever have problems with my laptop again. read more

In late November or early December, I ordered a new battery for my MacAir. They said it would take a couple of days to get shipped, and they would call or email me when it arrived. Here it is January and I have not heard a word from them. read more

Suny, who is possibly a manager and one of the computer repair guys, is a con and incapable, or just a liar. We took my MacBook Pro to the store after a minor liquid spillage, which we let dry right away and took the necessary steps to minimize the damage. We were told by Suny and his crew that it was not likely they would be able to repair it, but, upon our insisting, they agreed to check it before they made the final conclusion. We never got a call back, which was supposed to happen in a few days. When I called the store about 2 weeks later, I was told that nothing could be done. I was offered to buy a new computer from them, for which they would make "a really good offer," or just leave the laptop with them so they could "recycle" it. I refused both options. We went to pick up the computer after another week and were told that they could not find it. It took the staff more than a month to find my computer allegedly in the back of the store. The computer had been opened and no screws were put back. A cousin of mine came to visit. He is a freshman at college and with no professional background in fixing computers. He immediately noticed that the lid was not screwed back, which he suspected was the reason that the computer would not turn on (the connection between the parts and the electricity could not be established before the lid was securely placed back). He used the screws that we borrowed from another Mac, after which the computer switched on with no problems whatsoever. The battery was dead from being idle for two months at that point. We returned to MacSolutions, asking for a replacement battery and offered them not to bring up this issue anywhere if they agreed to at least compensate us for that. Suny took the computer to the back of the store and 30 min later said that the battery they found and installed was not recognized by the logic board, which, according to them, meant that the computer could be used only as a house desktop machine and the logic board was problematic. Suny decided not to give us the battery they had using the explanation that "we could not use it." Later that evening, we ordered a new battery on Amazon. The logic board immediately made the connections necessary, my cousin upgraded the computer with some hardware from Best Buy and ever since the laptop has been working perfectly. Because I was told that my computer was not fixable and use it to work from home, I bought a new computer, which cost about $2800. I also paid around $420 to Macsolutions back in May, when I left the computer with them, the authorized Apple service store, to clean it from junk and make it faster. The laptop was not faster and I did not notice any changes in its performance compared to it functionality before they added memory and did some other work to make it faster. Therefore, I will never go to Mac Business Solutions again and I would advise anyone to stay away from the store if they do not want to risk being cheated. read more

I went to MBS on the advice of a iOS senior advisor after my iPhone 6 plus stopped working during a recent iOS upgrade. The apple advisor was terrific and unfortunately could not help me over the phone, but he was sure that a solution would be available from Apple and provided me with his personal email, phone, and a case No. with details of the problem which he had started seeing often after this latest update. A young woman unlocked the MBS door for me to come in and I explained my problem and offered the paperwork provided from Apple. She said she didn't need it and that I would have to fill out their forms and leave the phone. I would hear from them in 5 - 7 days but not sooner. What? Five to seven days to restore an Iphone from an authorized dealer? I asked if someone could take a look sooner because that would be a hardship. "No," she said without even checking with a manager or service tech. This is a big store and while I realize that my phone isn't their priority, she could have asked someone. Then I asked if they had a loaner or a rental that I could use while the phone was waiting for service. "No", she said again . I was annoyed for the first time since this iPhone upgrade error happened. The three techs I talked to from Apple were sympathetic and tried everything they could. The Mac Business Solutions lady couldn't have been less helpful . I would never recommend this business to anyone. Her attitude alone was enough to ruin my next few hours. My advice to her would be to read some material about customer service or at least pretend she cared enough to ask a question of a manager. In any case, this is small issue to complain about, but every part of this 3 minute interaction was irksome. And the Company and anyone considering using them should be aware of the careless treatment of their customers. I feel better now. I've got an appointment at the genius bar and even if they tell me it will take 5 to 7 days, they'll say it with an apology and a smile. read more

I went the they're location in Frederick Md over the weekend possible to buy a tablet . I don't know who the service guy was at the front counter ,but he said he a many years experience with Mac products. As I started asking questions he pulled his cell phone out and started reading texts or emails from his phone...no excuse me this is very important ..as if i didn't even exist. He kept doing this the entire conversation... . I called Suny who said he was the owner and he said he would look into it and what could he do to win my business if anything. I did call Suny a couple of days later and told him what i was looking for and give me a price ....ZERO Response ! Went here expecting an expensive (but necessary) repair to my MacBook. The technician spent a lot of time on my machine, running diagnostics, physically cleaning its guts, and getting to the root of the problem while explaining everything to me in plain English. My computer is fixed, sparkling inside and out, and for much much less than I planned to spend. Could not be happier--I'm a customer for life. read more

I've now used Mac Business Solutions twice, on both occasions to diagnose and repair my Mac, the first time to replace its hard drive and more recently to reinstall its operating system. Both times the work was done by Austin, and both times I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, capable and willing to explain not only the nature of the issue, but also the possible repair options and the benefits of each. Such customer care is all too rare elsewhere, and I am extremely grateful. Also worth mentioning, the repair cost was certainly reasonable. The repairs were done perfectly both times! Their customer Service is amazing!! I came in because I was having some trouble with my iPhone and they were more than happy to help me. They had me leave my phone for about 30 minutes so they could open it up to make sure I would be able to get a new phone with no charge. The new phone arrived in less than 24 hours. To top off the amazing experience, they helped me sync my new phone by connecting it to one of their Mac computers. While the syncing was in process they asked if I needed any extra help. Went in to get my iPhone 6 plus iSight camera replaced since my phone's serial said it was eligible. Technician looked at my phone and said my camera was fine and I said then why does Apple's website say it needs to be replaced. I had then proceeded to have to show him that it can't focus when I attempt to take a picture of something up close. It wasn't super messed up but messed up. He finally agreed something is not right. They said Apple doesn't allow them to stock that part in their store so they had to order it and it usually takes a day to come in. It's been 9 days and nothing. A couple of issues here. First, I had to do a lot of convincing to get my camera fixed. The tech said it was fine. Well if it was fine Apples website would not say my serial was affected. Just fix it so we can move on with our lives. Second, don't tell me the part comes to you the next day to get my business. Maybe it does but someone dropped the ball on this. I only went to get this fixed at this location out of convenience cause it was near my work and the Apple Store was further away. Maybe this place doesn't care to do stuff under Apple warranty cause they don't make a lot of money on it. Who knows. Moral of the story, if your device is under Apple warranty just go to the Apple Store cause their techs actually know what they are doing. Thanks for wasting my time. read more

I can't be more appreciative to MBS and in particular to Claudio! I was there when the door opened at 9am as my daughter's computer from a local college had crashed the day before while updating her operating system to El Capitan on her MAC....BIG MISTAKE! Never do that just before a midterm or when you haven't backed up any of your semester documents. To say I was in a panic at 9am from the night before when the Apple store at Montgomery Mall said they couldn't retrieve any of my daughter's documents, I was panicked as was my daughter. And of course, she had 2 papers due last night at midnight. Claudio was my savior! He understood our urgency and worked to restore her documents and restore her computer to prior to the upgrade. Under normal circumstances I know I would have waited for a few days, but his personal touch and knowing my daughter was frantic with midterms, he took it upon himself to store the computer. He promised it at 1pm (4 hours later) and in fact it was ready at noon (3 hours). This type of customer service goes along way in my book and I will never forget the experience I had with Mac Business Solutions and will recommend them to all of my friends!
