I paid a cash deposit and left genuinely excited, counting down the days for a much-needed change. Unfortunately, that excitement was short-lived. On the day of the service, Brandon's demeanor was completely different. He was quiet and disengaged. Halfway through the process, I noticed things looked off, his technique didn't resemble any balayage I'd received in the past. My hair was minimally foiled or layered. I showed him the reference photo again, hoping to steer things back on track, but by the time he finished, the results were miles away from what we discussed. The service felt rushed and careless. I left the salon looking nearly identical to how I walked in, aside from a slight root color correction. When I voiced my concerns, Brandon admitted he had rushed the service due to overbooking. We discussed a follow-up appointment to get it fixed, which he framed as a "complimentary touch-up" though let's be honest, it was clearly a redo for a poorly executed job. Still, I gave him another chance, hoping he'd take the opportunity to deliver the quality he had originally promised. Spoiler alert: he didn't. Brandon kept rescheduling the follow-up, often at the last minute. I rearranged work, childcare, and personal plans to accommodate his availability, only to be canceled on without proper notice. Rightfully, I decided not to pursue another attempt. The work should've been done properly the first time, and I no longer had time to waste. Brandon agreed to issue a refund, which at that point felt like the bare minimum. But even that turned into a drawn-out hassle. Communication with him became frustrating and, frankly, bizarre. Instead of taking responsibility for a service he had already acknowledged was rushed and not up to his own standards, Brandon had the audacity to reframe the situation in his favor. He prioritized only his time and implied the issue was with my hair. He portrayed the refund as some kind of generous favor, claiming that other stylists wouldn't have even offered one. Apparently, I was expected to be grateful and wait patiently on his terms and timeline. This entire ordeal has been unnecessarily long and deeply frustrating. I've allowed more than enough time for a professional resolution. The salon has ignored the issue entirely and taken zero responsibility. How this has been handled speaks volumes about their professionalism or lack thereof, and how little they truly value the customer experience. Honestly, I still can't tell what was more overdone, Brandon's ego or audacity. Either way, both came through loud and clear... unlike the balayage!

Caroline took the time to blend it with a brush where needed, and she did an extra pass around my pale torso to make sure it matched the rest of me. I couldn't be more happy with the service. Caroline was also very professional and friendly. As someone who doesn't often strip down in front of strangers, the fact that she made me feel comfortable was really important. This is definitely my new go to place for the occasional spray tan. She's sending me care instructions too, which will be helpful. About the space: it's not in a *great* location near Colfax, but it's easy to get to. The office building it's in is nice with plenty of parking. I have been coming to Leesa for years. She has done all my lash services from Volume, Classic, Mega, Hybrid, Lash Tint, even specialty lashes for raves! ‍ She even assisted with suggestions during a recent cancer diagnosis when I lost all hair! Photo attached, taken on July 4th, the day after. My hair was fried from HOURS in bleach. The color was inconsistent. I ended up crying on the floor of Target to buy bleach just so I could have something that looked close to normal. I had to chop off 6 inches of hair and give myself bangs because of the sheer volume of fried hair. It is several months later and I have spent close to $2500 trying to fix my hair. The ends are still crispy and break off and my hair is barely chin length. Of note, he barely wore a mask the entire time. He also left bleach in my hair while he went into the hallway to argue with a girl who took a photo of him doing hair without a mask. He also commented on my husband who is of Chinese descent something to the effect of "I love Asian men! They are like f*cking a dolphin because they are so smooth!" He also kept sneaking in the back to take shots of vodka so pretty sure he wasn't sober most of the time. These are just the highlights of the experience. Suffice it to say, I will not be going back and I would not recommend this business to anyone I want to remain friends with.
