When I went into the store I was immediately greeted by Jasmin, She was helping other customers but was so sweet and showed me where I could find what I was looking for. She set up a station for me to try on some lipstick and lip liner before she went on her break. Kaylee took care of me and was an absolute rockstar with all her product knowledge and makeup tips. Kaylee was running the store, multitasking, assisting every customer and yet still made sure my experience was pleasant and fun. We came in looking for three simple things. We mentioned it to Kylie. Bb cream, lip glass and the semi-sweet x9 eye shadow palette. Well Kylie insisted we shouldn't use BB cream because she hates it. So she introduced us to studio Fix Fluid for me and studio water weight foundation for my 15 year old. Then she added bronzer and all kinds of other stuff to my 16 year old's face. She upsold us like a good salesperson would do. We left spending over $250 on stuff we never even intended to buy. We get to the car, drive away back home (which is 75 miles away) and we get a call from Kylie telling us that some of our items weren't in the bag but that she didn't charge me for them anyway. We get home, there is no BB cream, no lip glass and no palette in the bag either. So she blatantly disregarded our original request and we are now stuck with stuff we will never use. Why? Because it's the wrong shade! The bronzer is too dark too. Every time we try and put this crap on, we look so weird! We will never return to this store again. read more

Victoria was the first sales associate that greeted us as we were literally standing around looking for eyelashes for the 14 y/o in our group. She helped us better understand the different styles by showing us a TikTok video on her mobile phone covering all the lashes. Super helpful considering you're not able to try on false eyelashes. We then asked for powder and foundation, for my sister, which she kindly offered to go through a color test sampling. Found the perfect match! I asked about concealer and something to make my skin get back a more youthful glow. Victoria suggested strobe cream which provided absolutely what I had been looking for and we went through a testing of concealers as well. She offered samples of the concealer and foundation as I was still a little iffy on wearing so many things. We bought the strobe cream, face powder, foundation and eye lashes then found out that since we spent more than $75 we also were eligible for a complimentary lipstick and eyeshadow. Then on top of all this, as Victoria was trying to find my membership info via email and phone, found out that since my info was not appearing (common if you haven't purchased anything in the past 12 months) I could sign up for free Mac membership and a 15% discount would be applied to my entire first purchase. Today I had plenty to do here at Plaza Bonita & getting my guilty pleasures for me at MAC was on the itinerary. Now, I know I reviewed this location a few months ago in October. But, today my experience was just as spectacular. There were many MUA's (make up artists) working the floor today. And there were customers either looky lou'n around & others getting the attention they needed from staff. My visit today was very informative from Alma. I'm lucky to have ran my errands sans makeup. And when I arrived at MAC- Alma was patient w/ me looking for the correct shade of foundation & powder. I decided to bump my shades up a tad more- since I work in the sun all day- I knew my skin tone was gonna get a bit warmer w/ spring around the corner. Alma used the spoon foundation brush for my foundation & watching plenty of tutorials online & finally feeling how the the foundation truly feels applied w/ the bristles- made me add another purchase here. The amount of attention & friendliness from staff made for a pleasant visit today. And for today only, there was a raffle going on in the store. The prize is a makeup bag worth $175! Easy to find items and great service here at MAC. I rarely wear MAC but when I feel like treating myself... I stop by here to pick out a few goodies. During this pandemic, I was able to pick up three lip liners and a foundation. Two separate visits. First visit: lip liners. I was greeted by an employee (I forgot her name), but she was so nice and was able to help me find the nude-pink shades I asked for. Soar, Oak, and Strip Down. I've never tried Oak and Strip Down but they are currently my go-to! Second visit: foundation. I was greeted by Kylie, the Assistant Store Manager. Super informative and helped me color match a foundation. Feels great to have a MAC foundation back on my vanity! All in all, love that the staff is always so helpful and are following protocols of keeping everyone safe while they shop! read more

Today I went in and I asked this lady I don't know her name but her cashier name was Annette She was very helpful I told her I wanted red lipstick she didn't give me a hundred lipsticks to try on just two lipsticks the second one I tried on I really liked she was really really nice and helpful I was in and out within 10 minutes. The guy was there was nice to. She even acknowledges my birthday I said Happy Birthday to me that really made me feel good. When I stopped by recently to recycle my make up, the ladies were very nice and helpful because I came by right when the store opened, and it was on a weekday. 3 out of 5 because they are NOT consistent. Keep in mind, if you wish to recycle, I was told, "WE DO NOT RECYLE, TRAVEL SIZE PRODUCTS." I find it odd, but oh well! read more

I felt extremely bad for the only staff member scheduled on a Saturday who had to run around helping everyone because let's be real its not self service at a store like this. Not only was she having to answer questions for multiple clients at a time but also running back and forth to ring up people who knew exactly what they needed. I seen customers walk out because they could not be rung up. Shame on management for putting their staff in uncomfortable situations on the busiest day of the week. read more

WORSE MAC STORE EVER! I absolutely hate this place. As a few of the other reviewers have said - NO STARS! I've gone to this place 3 times. Every single time I've gone here, I was simply ignored. But, seriously. Whatever happened to customer service? There was no 'Hi!", 'I'll be with you in a second.', or 'Can I help you with something?' Nothing! The last time I was here, two sales girls were busy fiddling with their own make up and gossiping. Another girl just flat out ignored me. The last girl was actually working. What pissed me off the most, besides being ignored, was the fact that the security guard was following me around the shop, while I was browsing the eyeshadow makeup, when there was a small group of teenage girls huddling in front of the lip gloss. Ive been there numerous times and i have never had a good experience there. like rianne d. said i would've put zero stars if it would let me! normally when i shop i like to find things by myself before i bug an employee to ask for help. on one occasion i was looking for my normal color eyeshadow but could not find it, i finally gave in and asked an employee for help (mind you i wasnt offered help when i walked in) and after asking the girl she looks and me and points in a general direction and says "its over there" fine. but there are like 50 eye shadows in the direction that you just pointed. im like "can you SHOW me please" she then rolls her eyes and finally walks me to the color i needed. next trip...i walk in and immediately grab my items (i found them myself this time) i stand waiting in line for like 10 minutes with like 3 people that cut in front of me, (mind you these people that cut werent even waiting in line, they were walking around the store, the cashier would then call them when it was their "turn") i ask the cashier "why are they cutting me?' and the cashier says to me as she is grabbing items from a basket "they are customers who are getting consultations" i replied "if i put my shit in a basket can i cut too?" the cashier rolled her eyes. when i finally got up the the beez she says as little to me as possible, and having shopped at mac before i know that they usually ask for my address, she didnt ask me, i was two seconds away from cussing this girl out and i thought it would be best to just leave it alone an get out asap. the girls there are hideous and have shitty attitudes. I HATE THIS MAC! and unfortunately this is the closest location to my house, but i try and shop at different locations, but there are times when its an emergency and i need to go to this one and interact with these beasts. i hate it read more

If you do, there's a so called 'security' person that will approach you and tell you that you can't and you have to use the 'samples' displayed in the middle of the store...WHICH btw is being hounded by the other 100 people trying to fit their butts in the store 3. customer service: rude and non-existent I've been to other MAC stores, and this is the only one that sucks monkey butt. Came in on a Saturday evening and the mall was packed. Dropped by MAC and surprisingly, I had a good experience. Based on the reviews, I expected the customer service to be sub par or worse than Fashion. It was the total opposite! I was helped right as I walked through the door and taken care of by a girl named Andrea. She was very patient and didn't seem to be pushy, which is a plus because I haaate feeling pressured to buy something, especially when its an investment like MAC. I came to the Plaza Bonita Mall the day after Christmas so as you can imagine the mall was very busy! Additionally, I look fairly young and wasn't wearing makeup and dressed in my work uniform, so most other stores kind of just disregarded my entrance to the store. Not Mac- The second I walked in I was greeted and acknowledged by a group of smiling and friendly employees. They were all talking amongst each other, but nothing unprofessional. They still greeted me, asked me if I needed help and they were really really sweet. Being in customer service for 6 years, I was really impressed. I was helped by an employee named Maxine and she really sweet and seemed very knowledgeable. They didn't have Russian Red, which is my favorite red lipstick, but she recommended a similar lipstick that I ended up loving just as much, "Rubby Woo" and have been getting compliments on it ever since! She had my merchandise ready for me at the counter, until I was ready to pay. There was a good amount of staff, so I didn't even have to wait in line or anything. All in all, I had a wonderful experience here and am very surprised to read all the negative reviews down below! Maybe management figured something out? This is the worst MAC store I've ever been in. Do not go here! They're customer service is awful. All of the workers were helping someone so I patiently waited. I stood there for 10 min and not one worker had acknowledged me. They could have at the very least said "we'll be with you soon." When I finally did get help another 10 minutes later and we started, the girl asked if she could help someone get their lipstick. I said that's fine, it's happened when they've helped me before; you can go grab something for someone. It had been 7 minutes, I look over, she's full on helping the the other girl! Are you kidding me! I walked out. That was so rude! All I needed was help with color for an eyebrow pencil and get a few other things I already of which I already knew exactly what I needed. Wow, I've never encountered such a TERRIBLE experience in a MAC store until I came to this one. My experience here made me wanna go postal on the b*tch that "attempted" to help me. So all I came in for was lip gloss. I'm standing there for a long period of time (approximately close to 10 min), looking back and to my side to see if anyone would help me. So, eventually I go to the cashier. She asks me what she can get me. She goes on searching for the lip gloss... THEN some other customer asks her for help on a brush. I think to myself "ok cool, she's trying to multi task." Instead, this, 5'3, blond highlighted, curly haired, diva looking sales associate forgets about me and helps this other customer instead and rings HER up. Nothing was said to me and I was left in the dark. At this point, I'm thinking "WTF." and bounce. HOW f*ckin' RUDE. If only gas wasn't expensive, I'd go to another one where I'm treated with respect and with equal importance. Too bad this piece of sh*t place is the one closest in my area. read more
