I was able to fill in new patient forms online prior to coming in. Located in a shared medical office building, the waiting and reception area is small but so clean and beautifully decorated. Most importantly, Dr. Oswald was so friendly and explains every step, making sure I know what is happening and that I am at ease. When I mentioned that I have previously been treated by another more established endodontist in the area, Dr. Oswald spoke highly of the other Dr. the only painful part of the procedure was when the anesthesia was being injected around the tooth, and that is unavoidable. The root canal itself was painless and quick. I did not even have any pain later that afternoon when the anesthesia wore off. Additionally, I had mentioned another area that my dentist had pointed out, involving a previous root canal. He took the time to take and xray and give some advice, totally appreciated. No one wants to have a root canal.. but this office and Dr. Oswald is a great place to go if it does come up!

The doctor took the time to explain every step, ensuring I was comfortable and informed. I was pleasantly surprised by how minimal the discomfort was, thanks to the doctor's skillful administration of anesthesia. To anyone in need of a root canal or other dental services. The combination of expertise, compassion, and cutting-edge technology makes this dental practice truly exceptional.

I have been their patient for years and I will say they are worthy of trust - they will explain different treatment plan options in as much detail as you want, and they never push unnecessary treatment as some others practices tend to do. I highly recommend Smiles of Eastlake.

I went to Smiles of Eastlake for a comprehensive exam and cleaning. After reviewing my X-rays, I…read morewas told I had a couple of cavities and that some of my old fillings should be replaced. I trusted their professional judgment and agreed to the recommended treatment. During the procedure, the numbing injection was incredibly painful. I've had fillings before, so I knew this didn't feel normal. I remember thinking maybe they just used a different technique, so I trusted the process and didn't question it. Looking back, I wish I had advocated for myself. Ever since that filling was completed, that tooth has been in pain. I lived with that pain for the next 2-3 months, hoping it would eventually go away. Instead, I pushed it to the back of my mind and convinced myself it would get better. When I finally flew back to the D.C. area, I went to the dentist I've trusted for the past 10 years. He took new X-rays of the painful tooth and diagnosed me with pulpitis, an inflammation of the dental pulp. He also showed me that the new filling extended beyond the previous filling. He expressed concern about whether that additional drilling was necessary. He couldn't say for certain that it wasn't, but the look on his face and our conversation were concerning to me. I'm not accusing anyone of wrongdoing. I'm simply sharing the facts. During my comprehensive exam and X-rays at Smiles of Eastlake, there was no indication of inflammation in that tooth. After the filling was done, I developed constant pain in that same tooth and was later diagnosed with pulpitis by another dentist. My biggest issue with Smiles of Eastlake was that the office felt rushed and impersonal. It felt more like a high-volume practice than one focused on individualized patient care. Once my trust was broken, I wasn't comfortable returning. This review is really about two things. First, if you choose Smiles of Eastlake, proceed with caution. Ask questions, advocate for yourself, and don't be afraid to get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. Second, listen to your body. I ignored persistent pain for 2-3 months because I assumed it would get better. It didn't. Whether this outcome could have been prevented, I don't know, but I do know that ignoring my symptoms wasn't the right decision. I hope my experience encourages someone else to trust their instincts and seek care sooner.

You can feel their care and compassion for their patients. I made an urgent appointment for my elderly mom, who's over 80 years old. My mom had toothaches and when I spoke to the receptionist, Jessica - she took note of the urgent visit request and was able to schedule a consultation the following day. Hallelujah! Dr. Yuri was able to get us in a few days later after the consultation to remove a few of mom's infected teeth. My mom was the most CALM she's ever been at the dentist. She even gave 2 THUMBS UP after the infected tooth was removed. The whole procedure was painless and Dr. YURI performed a spectacular job from numbing to pulling the tooth out and making sure my mom was comfortable the entire time. Thank YOU Dr. YURI AND Team! You really live up to your superior ratings and reviews!

I just felt like they weren't being honest. So I went to Dr Yuri for a second opinion. Sure enough, the 3 cavities and crown I supposedly needed vanished, and I really had a healthy set of teeth all along. I didn't need anything done except a cleaning. Thank God for honest dentists like Dr Yuri! She is the best!
