I went through the glass doors to the elevators and headed up to my room. The cleaning staff were cleaning up some rooms but mine was fully done. I opened it up and I think it was smaller than the rooms I've stayed in previously. The main entrance was pretty open and led to a kitchenette. There was a washroom on the left and the bedroom on the right. The washroom was alright. It had a stand up shower with some bottles of body wash, shampoo and I can't remember if there was separate conditioner or not. The bedroom was decent size and had a decent size TV. The bed was pretty comfortable and didn't feel run down like some of the places I've stayed at recently. I went downstairs and noticed they had a cafe attached. I don't recall if they had this the last time I was here but I did grab some things from here the next day. I stayed here for all the things in the area so didn't really check out the restaurant or bar attached to the lobby. There seemed to be a lot of new restaurants and eateries in the area. When I returned that night to get a nights rest, the bed was comfortable but the mechanical stuff kept waking me as it was loud. It woke me a few times that night. I think it was just the room I was in as I don't recall this the last time I was here. Would give this place a try again but book earlier as I booked last minute and hopefully get a better room

From Nathan Phillips Square being literally across the street to a bunch of museums only being 10-15 minutes away walking, it was excellent for the two of us. The rooms were decent with good internet, though they were missing a few things found in better hotels. I think the space could have used another chair or two, as there weren't that many places to put things down. The room felt a bit dark otherwise, and the shower could have used a bit more pressure. Also, breakfast isn't included, but that isn't always the case. We personally didn't check out the sauna, pool, or gym as we were both busy every day. In terms of leaving, they were able to quickly arrange a car service to get us to Billy Bishop, and the price was actually reasonable, being better than Uber or otherwise. If you're looking for a perfectly fine hotel in the middle of everything, I would recommend this place. It's not the best hotel I've ever been to or close to, but it was good, and it definitely fit the purpose. Just need those little things to be an all-star spot.

To access room floor a key card was necessary in the elevator. The key card is also needed to access the pool and fitness center. The room (782) was a little outdated but sufficient for what we needed. The bathroom looked newer but the you had to hold the toilet handle down to make sure it flushes. Water pressure and temp was perfect. Pillows were great: most soft, some a little firmer. Sheets were comfy. It did get a little loud at night both from the streets and from people walking in the hallway. The pool was great! It rained the first night we arrived and people continued swimming under the indoor area. The fitness center is right next to the pool area: they had a lot of updated machines and weights. The hotel is across the street from the large TORONTO sign. Take the escalator down and you're connected to the PATH : which provided access to the 1 subway line. Everything was a 20 minute walk or an $8 Uber ride away. Great location.

We checked in then on a Friday in July and the line took almost an hour to get our keys. Staff at the desk were slow. The suite was okay, but came with an odd smell. The sofa couch advertised was not sleep able. It was spiky and uncomfortable. There are so many hotels nearby. I'd skip this one for one of them.

It was very clear to see so I wondered how thorough the cleaning of the rest of the suite was but didn't see anything else. Another small downside is that they don't have filled soap dispensers in the tub. They provide the small bottles and with our family, we would've needed a few, but it was fine for our overnight trip. Overall, if you prefer a convenient location over the frills then this is a good one.

I had a late night flood (suite upstairs water tank burst) and my many phone calls to PPM were useless. The answering service said I would need to wait for the day time staff. For 7 hours I watched and listened to the water pouring in. Making every hour a more expensive flood situation. The after flood service from PPM was just as bad: Everyday I asked PPM to come to see me to cover next steps and they finally came 6 days later. The humidity readings behind my bathroom tiling was relative value: 999 Wet. I was displaced for weeks. There was no assistance given to the mess I was in. Stay Away!!!! I have been meaning to leave this review for…read moreabout a year and a half. I fired this company because I felt like I spent too much time managing my property management company. One PPM rep was constantly late or a no-show with tons of excuses. There was only one employee of PPM that I trusted and when she quit, I told the founder/CEO they had 3 months to prove to me they weren't the disaster they appeared to be prior to that one trust-worthy person. He made lots of promises to me but in the end my tenants were soooo displeased with the service/lack of service and attention they got from PPM. To punctuate this terrible experience, PPM claimed they lost all my unit keys (they magically became un-lost when I showed up at their office), and they kept my tenant's security deposits claiming I owed them money for a repair they could not provide me with an invoice to substantiate. Subsequently, they stopped communicating with me altogether. Oh, I failed to mention I had a horribly, scream-y argument with PPM on the phone trying to settle some issues prior to this. Have you ever spoken with someone who just yells over you when you try to talk? Fun stuff. lol. I would prefer to deal with Canada Revenue Agency everyday than the headache this company gave me...if that helps explain anything.

Prior to about two years ago, I would always stay with family when I was traveling to Toronto. I then learned that the Pan Pacific (which my family calls the Old Prince) was only about five minutes from where many of my family members live. Since then, I've been staying there about 3-4 times a year, sometimes on my own and sometimes with my sister. I have found that the rooms, restaurant (Seasons), and common areas were comfortable while the staff were very helpful. I typically would get a king bed or two queens (if I was traveling with someone else), and often get an upgrade to a larger room, a balcony room, or even once for my birthday, a junior suite. There is typically an amenity dropped off (small package of three chocolates with two sparkling waters) along with daily water bottles. The beds are comfortable, and there are individual-sized shampoos and other amenities in the bathroom that get restocked as needed. While this Pan Pacific location doesn't offer complimentary breakfast for Titanium members, you can get a discount based on your status level at its restaurants. My only challenge in the rooms over my visits has been days where housekeeping is skipped for no particular reason or the blinds that sometimes fall down. Any time I have reported anything to the front desk, they have fixed it that day. The other amenities in the hotel have been useful. We often use the fitness center, only a short walk away, though there are a few machines that have been removed over the last two years though they haven't replaced them. There is also an outdoor pool, which we haven't used but have seen people using. On one occasion, we went for a walk along one of the trails, which didn't go that far. We always park a vehicle at the hotel, and as long as you have a picture of your license plate to show the staff at check-in, you can easily come in and out at your convenience for a daily rate of $20, I believe. There are also conference rooms downstairs though we haven't used them before. I used a status match and then stayed there once in order to earn a status with GHA Discovery inclusive of Pan Pacific Hotels. You can sign up with the GHA Discovery Silver status without a previous stay, and then after two visits or spending $1000 USD, you can upgrade your status to GHA Discovery Gold. The higher statuses are Platinum and Titanium. As a GHA DISCOVERY member, you'll earn up to 7% back in Discovery Dollars (D$) on every eligible purchase to be used on your next visit. Other perks for all tiers include complimentary internet, exclusive rates and offers, birthday treats, savings at spa outlets, and savings on dining bills (up to 20% off). I recently traveled through Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) on a Porter Airlines to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). This was my first experience with this airport and honestly had no idea it even existed, as I've always traveled through Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Opened in 1939 as Port George VI Island Airport, then in 1990 renamed to Toronto City Centre Airport, and then in 2009 renamed to its current name of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport after the WWI Canadian pilot flying ace and WWII Air Marshal, William "Billy" Bishop. It served mostly short-hauled flights to destinations across Canada and the USA by Air Canada and Porter Airlines. To access the airport, there was a free-use pedestrian tunnel, ferry service, and of course by car. As of 2025, it was ranked Canada's 12th busiest airport, and has proven to be a viable option to Toronto Pearson International Airport, especially if your destination was Old Toronto. Would I consider Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport for my next trip into Canada or Toronto specifically!? PURCHASE(S) Porter Airlines ($226.00CAD / $161.54USD): Purchased online as a partner with Alaska Airlines prior to my departing flight, I'll cover this with more details in a separate review. Getting in and out of the terminals was a very pleasant experience - thank you! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) There were parking structures with both short- and long-term options. However, this airport had a very good transit system that consisted of buses, taxi cab service, and Lyft or Uber stations. So, why would you park!? But, if you needed to park a vehicle, hourly rates up to a 2-hour maximum were about $5.00CAD per 20 minutes. Daily rates from self-parking to valet started from $35.00CAD and up. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A smallish-sized spacious airport with parking structures, one passenger terminal and an aforementioned convenient transit system! Once inside, easily marked directional escalators, stairs, bright electric lighting, a nice mix of natural lighting as you made your way through parts of the airport, minimal shops and reasonably-priced eateries along the way to your gate. Various advertisements and decorations hung from the walls which gave the place some color. Additionally, there was an exhibit, plane, and a statue, all with some historical significance. The walking aisles were wide and had signage in various languages. There were TV monitors throughout while announcements over the loudspeakers and the chatter of fellow travelers served as your background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. I liked to be unencumbered and unfettered, so the least amount of clothing, especially while I traveled through an airport the better! OVERALL Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) was a pleasant surprise due to easy navigation, all helpful smiling employees, and the simple ease of everything. The airport was limited in scope from the airlines it served to the dining and shopping options mainly due to its size, but what you had was more than sufficient and straightforward. Generally-speaking, the less time I spent at an airport the better. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $259.00CAD BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, although I didn't actually purchase anything at the airport itself, all businesses inside and outside accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS
