Bonvoy gold member for 8 years. This will be my last stay with Marriott. The service at this place was beyond horrible. Lady at the front desk was rude. As a Goldmember, we get 2 PM late check out. We asked the lady at the front desk for a late check out, she told us that we had to call back in the morning. Next morning, we called down and asked for a late check out, she did not even let us finish our sentence before saying no. She did not bother to check to see if a late check out was available for the room. To say, I'm disappointed is an understatement. I will be switching all my stays to Hyatt from now on. read more

Excellent hotel - great for business travelers. My room was clean, away from the elevator, and had the features I requested when I made my booking last month - king bed, comfortable sofa, and large work area. The WiFi was excellent and there was plenty of storage for all my clothes (I like to completely unpack even on short business trips). There's a large parking lot, and there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Lobby area is smartly appointed and they serve breakfast in the morning. They have a pool and gym (though I didn't try either) and it's reasonably priced ($137 CAD). What more can one ask for? Will certainly stay here on my next business trip to Toronto. read more

During the Canada Day long weekend (Canada is 150 years old this year!), I did a staycation in Brampton and stayed at this Courtyard. I had booked in a good month in advance. I didn't realize that this hotel is considered a conference centre. It surprised me that the parking lot shared a number of other businesses. The most notable is the Cineplex. You can walk across the parking lot to get there. There are plenty of places to eat if you do not want to give the restaurant a try. Paramount Fine Foods, Shoeless Joe's, and Tim Hortons are a short walk away. They are decent if you do not drive and are hungry. I was greeted promptly by the front desk person. I had checked in using the Marriott app. I got a free bottle of water, thanking me for being a Gold Elite member. It was a nice touch. My suite was spacious. The bedroom had a king bed and a TV. You could close the doors to get more privacy. There was also a living room area, which I spent much of my time eating and watching TV while in my room. The bathroom was bright and clean. There were no issues with water pressure. I used the mini fridge and microwave often. It's nice to have a home away from home. I like fixing myself breakfast and having chilled drinks. You have bottled water in the room, but you have to pay. Similarly, breakfast is not included, but is available downstairs each morning. I had the best first nice sleeping in my room. It was so quiet. I suppose that it was because my view overlooked the massive Costco store. I would stay here again. It's clean and perfect for my needs. (155) read more

Bedbugs! Stayed the weekend of May 26 & 27, 2023 and left with bites which I wrote off as mosquitoes. However, as the weekend progressed, the bites worsened, and I found bedbugs in my clothing upon my return home. Marriott, you can do better. read more

(This review is based solely on the conference centre.) It's not often that I get the chance to attend an event in the northern end of Brampton - or anywhere outside Mississauga, for that matter - so having the chance to visit the Courtyard for a function was an unexpected treat. I attended the 2017 United Way of Peel Region annual general meeting, and was very impressed by the presentation and the facility itself. Coming in so early in the morning, I half-expected to see an empty building, but it was buzzing at 7 a.m. The front desk clerks were friendly and directed people where to go, the main atrium outside our room was clean (albeit a bit sparse), and a hot breakfast was being served while guests mingled. The food was good. Nothing to write home about - a light continental breakfast with lots of yogurts and croissants. The room itself shined. Clean, setup nicely with somewhat extravagant decorations (which made me feel like I was at a gala as opposed to an AGM) and some decent pens and pads on the table. The event ran without much trouble, aside from a momentary problem with the A/V system. I was very impressed with my visit to the Courtyard, and can certainly see myself visiting again for events in the future. I didn't even have the chance to fully check out the main lobby of the hotel, either, which had some nice leather chairs and TVs to watch. This place is well worth a look, especially since it's also close to a number of other restaurants and businesses. I'll be back soon, I hope. read more

We were a family of two adults traveling with a two year old. This is my first time to the Toronto vicinity so finding a hotel accessible to our friends/activities was confusing at first. This hotel is located in the Brampton area; conveniently located by highways. Thankfully for us, this particular hotel was also located next to an abundance of dining options as well as shopping. Our room was a great size for the 3 of us; there was a microwave & mini-fridge which was an added bonus. I loved the bathroom as well. We had a King bed as well as a twin sofa bed which we had our two year old sleep on. The desk in the room had an extra table that doubled as a dining table which I thought was a great bonus so that we could eat comfortably. The room was immaculate upon check in. Our bathroom sink did have drainage issues but I'm not petty and things like that don't make or break my day lol. The rooms do adjoin so be sure to lock the door at check in. I do wish breakfast was inclusive in the rate but I find that that's not the norm in the area for a lot of the hotels. Parking was abundant but the lot is shared so be cautious entering and exiting because it's a very active parking area. I believe it took about 35-40 minutes to get to downtown Toronto which was great. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and likely I'd definitely choose this hotel again. read more

This is my third time staying here. Great place to stay. Beds are super comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Stayed for a girls weekend. Please with lobby decor. The hallways are very out dated. The room is lovely. Bathroom slightly outdated with a cheap shower head but the water is warm with fairly good pressure so I'm not complaining. The towels aren't the best. The pool is nice and fitness room is pretty good and clean. Got the room at a good price for the amenities. Will stay again. read more

Upon our arrival we were greeted by a lovely staff member who clearly did not want to be there working on a Friday. I had expressed my concern that we were there for a wedding, and I didn't quite understand how the group rate is more expensive then the current daily rate. I had consciously posed the question in a friendly way because I was more so curious the response was "well that's the contract you signed, book it on your own then if you don't want this". Taken aback, and seeing that there was a line I didn't want to hold anyone up, we proceeded with our check in. Once she was done the paperwork, I had asked if breakfast was included and was told "you can pay for your breakfast in the lobby between X hour and X hour" (I can't remover the exact time). At the end of the weekend when we were checking out, it was the same lovely person at the front desks. I had to ask 3 times what the charge will be for the room on my credit card, in the end she still did not tell me the actual amount, nor printed me a receipt. Thankfully I am confident in the brand and knew if I had any issues afterwords I could call to get them resolved. It's unfortunate that such an incident left a sour note with us, because the property itself is very nice. The rooms are very nice, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. There is lots of parking, great food nearby, and good location. read more

Due to the winter storm i needed to stay in a hotel close to work. I was impressed with the look and comfort of the lobby and business lounge. Didn't use the restaurant or convince store, but it's nice to know they were there. The staff was friendly and my room was really nice with a comfortable bed - which I was looking forward to. I was a bit cold when I got there do it was great that I could control my own heat. Usually you get water in a hotel room that you have to pay for as part of the mini bar. Here I was pleased to see free water in my room as well as free Internet access. The next morning my receipt was slipped under my door for an easy checkout. Great experience all round on one if the snowiest days of the year. read more

Very Friendly staff in nice location, with walking distance of a Tim Hortons/Wendy's, Shoeless Joe's, and Cineplex. Quiet, and Clean rooms, I stayed in a suite, which was nice but small. I appreciated all the channels they had on cable. Downside: Restaurant is basically a small grill, and NO room service. Computers in the Lobby worked too slow. Would probably only give 3 Stars, but the exceptional staff goes along way. Joe in Maintenance was very helpful. read more

literally all of the furniture was stiff and cheaply made, i found my self adjusting myself on the couch in the room every fifteen minutes or so. i didn't like the fact that in the front entrance their were pieces of carpet just thrown on the floor...whether it was for the salt or not, im not quite sure, but it looked HORRIBLE. i also didn't like the fact that a "girls" hockey team decided to break out about a dozen pizzas with alcohol and drinks on the main floor area, i understand that a big t.v. was on the wall, but some accountability and responsibility should have been taken here. other then that, the room was super clean, the bathroom was awesome. the bed was the most comfortable piece of furniture...IMHO great location, great access to the highway, great amenities within walking distance...bonus points if you have a Costco card read more

Ours was a business stay, as we were attending meetings and working nearby. This Courtyard was a great location for that reason. We don't often stay at the Courtyard brand (primarily because breakfast isn't included), but we enjoyed our stay at this location. The staff was very friendly and helpful, including front desk, maintenance, housekeeping and Bistro staff. One morning I forgot my cup of tea, and when I returned an hour later looking for it, the young man working said, "Oh, I was looking for you. I saved your tea for quite a while hoping you'd return. Let me make you a fresh cup." That was really thoughtful, and made me feel like a valued guest. The room was clean and comfortable. The amenity we appreciated most was the bed after long work days. The bed was very comfortable. Placement of outlets and amounts were adequate for multiple devices. Set-up was conducive to getting work done. We paid for the Stay for Breakfast rate, which worked out well. The choices for breakfast were varied enough to keep us happy. With the prices, though, we would not have eaten at the Bistro without it being included in our rate. read more

This is the place to stay. Service is great. Where else does the exec chef come out and talk to people? The GM is out greeting people. Place is clean, quiet. Great food in comparison to other places, even in their own chain. Desk people have helped me several times with part of my travel plans. The service does make a difference. This is one of the bigger Courtyards I have stayed at because of the onsite Conference Center. It's in a great location with several restaurants in walking distance. They offer free parking and Wi-Fi. There is a bistro onsite that has Starbucks coffee along with a cocktail bar. The Bramalea City Centre is ten minutes away and the Toronto airport is 15 minutes away. This was an ideal location for us since we were visiting family. Although the hotel was clean and the lobby area was nice, the rooms do show some wear and could be refreshed. The staff was friendly and hooked us up with some discounts for their cocktail bar. Would stay here again if I am in the area. read more

The room is ok. The gym is small and they've got one treadmill out of 3 that has not worked in at least a year VERY disappointed in the food on site. I've stayed here before and enjoyed the salads and flat breads. Today, my " Asian chicken salad " was a prepared salad kit with maybe 7 or 8 small chunks of chicken. Compared to what it use to be, very disappointing. No almond slivers, snap or green peas. Not worth the money. Go across the parking lot to Tim Horton's or Wendy's. Cheaper prices and better food. read more

Not the best experience. Room was nice but I had a jetted-tub in my room expecting it to work and sadly it was not. The button was not working properly so after many attempts I gave up on using the jets for the tub. Less than an hour after that I decided to get out and go to bed and the tub drain, but half way through draining the jets began to work and water was being sprayed in all directions! The carpet was soaked, there was water on the bed sheets, there was water being sprayed on the walls, and I was completely drenched. Maintenance made me feel dumb by saying to read the directions and just push the button (I mean... duh. That's exactly what we were doing). We complained many times during our stay and we only received a complementary breakfast. We showed the cook our coupon and he was happy to serve us and then the cashier decides to come from the bar area and ask my boyfriend if he had any proof of payment (making us feel like we were stealing food). If we did not have proof of payment then the cook would not have served us! (Duh lady!) It's a nice hotel but my experience was not the best here. For what we payed we did not get our money's worth with that jetted-tub in our room. read more

This is a great hotel. Very nice staff and clean and peaceful environment. There is a Starbucks in the lobby but if you're not into that there's a Tim Hortons across the parking lot. The pool was a salt water pool, and very nice and clean. There is free bottled water and fast wifi. A great place to stay. read more

This is a hard review becuase there were a couple of front desk ladies that were wonderful but the main one I dealt with was rude and unhelpful. We stayed at this hotel over 5 nights while in town for a wedding. First, they didn't put all 4 of our rooms on the same level and then because the names on the reservation switched after the first night we all had to move rooms. There is no free breakfast offered and the cool looking slide at the pool is only open at very limited times so even though we were there for almost a week my kids never even got to enjoy it! The location is good but next time I am in the area I will be staying at a different hotel. read more
