After a lot of decision making I pulled the trigger and got the procedure. It was pretty invasive but Dr. Barasz made sure I was comfortable the whole time and would pause if I wasn't. The staff continued to reach out after the procedure to check in and my mouth has made some dramatic changes since. Huge reason for that was fear as the last time I went it was for a deep cleaning, and well 'never again' right? 4. If you're going for periodontal work, it's already the future and tech is the way to go. 5. Why not go to the first periodontist certified to do so From the initial phone call with the receptionist (10 for her alone ), to the consult, procedure, and post-op visits.... service with a smile pun intended. I was assured it would be comfortable, pain free and so it was. Full mouth LANAP was done in an hour and change. Three little very bearable pinches on the surface of the gums for anesthesia (which was one of my main fears from '04), no sweat. Dr. Lerhman made sure I was cool calm ans collected the entire time. Explained what he was doing step by step throughout the procedure. Just from LANAP, within three months, my teeth have shifted closer together and my overall health has gotten better. My gums are as healthy as can be, mouth is clean, teeth stains from tobacco tea and coffee are gone! 16 years of unhealthy periodontal disease reset in an hour. I am disabled along with plenty additional health problems and even the accommodations to the limitations of my life have been attended to. Please don't listen to the trolls. I'm a satisfied ACTUAL patient.

He is very caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable and ethical. He had a very pragmatic and thoughtful recommendation, and described well pros and cons of different approaches to my issue. We also worked on a cost estimate, which was very helpful as some of procedures are not fully covered by insurance. I trust his opinion wholeheartedly, and he is one of the few professionals I met who will really look out for you. It is not easy these days, in my experience, to find an excellent professional who does not upsell/ recommend expensive procedures you don't really need. Dr. Scheweiss is that rare find!
