It was clean, and you could find stuff easily. BUT the self checkout is a disaster! The person manning the self checkout didn't offer to help even after they saw us struggling to checkout. It is NOT the first time we have been there. And the scanner wouldn't work very well, and the checkout kept telling us to take the bags off of the bagging area. Then started to tell us to put the bags back before letting us scan items again. The light stated to flash for an assistant to notice and come and help. After a good 15 or so minutes of fighting the machine (and getting no help) we finally just left our stuff and walked out. read more

I have been going here (Tooele Macey's) for almost 20 years, but I will never go there again...ever. In the self-checkout area, I had to go over and interrupt 2 women who were chatting, I needed help on 2 items. The one just looked at me like i was an idiot, one came over. I told her I was having difficulty with finding 2 things, she asked me why I didn't use the regular checkout lane. I said because they were closed. She said I SHOULD HAVE just gone over there anyway because she would have gone right over. BTW they all said LANE IS CLOSED. I was mad by then and said I do not know how to find this. Her answer was well, I KNOW MY CODES, my answer was WELL I DO NOT. She then asked if I wanted them or not and walked away. I said I wanted them, and she came back, plainly irritated. When I bagged and went towards the door, she said "Have a nice weekend." pretty sarcastically. Too bad because I buy a lot of groceries every week..... read more

I ordered 2 weeks in advance 72 cupcakes for my son's birthday. I had my husband pick up at 7 the night before. When he got home on the box said cake! I opened it and it was 72 cupcakes turned into a cake and I asked 1/2 vanilla 1/2 chocolate for a reason and it's not for making one cake! I was called at 8:30 that morning because they thought I wanted a green forest drawn on the cupcakes. I said, no I want green forest icing on the cupcakes because his theme is Jurassic World. The lady said ok. I called to ask why my cupcakes where turned into a cake the lady in the phone said I don't know there is no where on your ticket that says to do that but they are cupcakes so just pull it apart. I told her there is a theme and the cupcakes are going in certain spots. She said well there is nothing I can do all the decorators and supervisor are gone for the day. I was told call tomorrow when they are in since they aren't here. I said so on top of all the things I have to do I now have to come back in hopes you can fix something I never asked for and was told, yep. Worst customer service and won't use them again! read more

This is hands down the best grocery store in Tooele. Friendly staff, fresh items, very clean store. I've had great interactions with the pharmacy offering to order in an item that was out of stock, and check out clerks answering all questions they can. I am still adjusting to some brands of products rotating, I'm sure due to things selling out, but overall have found that they do a great job of finding high quality items and training their staff. read more

The service at this location continues to go further and further downhill. I paid more for groceries and shopped here rather than Walmart because I hated the service I got at Walmart. The employees used to treat you with respect, which they no longer do. I am paying more shopping at this location for just as crappy service. Not only have I been over charged on items, but sale prices that were advertised were not given. The deli is now just as disgusting and dirty as Walmart also. They charged me $1 just for a bag for brisket. The children they hire then just want to argue with you rather than help you. When you ask for a manager, that can't happen either. YOU have to be in the store at the same time as them otherwise they won't allow you to talk to them. This location has lost my patience and my business... like they care. read more

We have been shopping at 6 am Mon and Wed, as my husband's health is compromised and I kind of like him, so we've been pretty careful. Today I decided to try curbside delivery and they were great. I called to ask afterwards about one item and they were very nice and thorough. I was cut off during the call and they texted me with a message to finish the conversation. Most people would have just quit at that point, but they went the extra mile. We switched to Macey's a few months ago and I'm glad I did. Safer and really nice people who take the time to make things right. read more

Tooele Utah location charged me $12.99 for a 30 pack of eggs. I called the store thinking it was an error but was informed it was not an error. After being treated very rudely on the phone and being denied a refund I will do my shopping else where. I assume this is why there were no price tags on the eggs. read more

We just used Macey's online ordering service for the first time and it was awesome. We spent about 20 min online at home ordering our groceries, were able to pick the day and time to pick up our groceries. After picking the time and date we received a couple text asking if another brand, or a12 pack of cans for the same price instead of bottles were ok because they were out of what we wanted. We pulled up and sent a text saying we were there and they brought our groceries out. They aren't allowed to accept a tip and the service only costs 1.99 totally with it to me. read more

This store is clean, has a large variety of products, even gluten free, the lines are pretty short. The deli sells yummy ice cream cones for cheap, and other tasty treats. My only complaints are the prices are a bit high, especially on shampoo and medicines. They are closed on Sundays. When I have bought beer, I get strange looks and the cashier seem upset. I have friends that say they have had the same experience when purchasing beer. The store is going through a remodel right now, so items are hard to find, but they are getting more products, it will have a American First Credit Union too. read more

Great prepared salads at the deli! Tried the Bacon Bleu Cheese Potato Salad (addictive!), Cheese Tortellini, and Fire Roasted Corn ($5-6 per lb.). Not the biggest supermarket I've ever shopped but big enough and well stocked (several varieties/brands for each item). Really like the Granny's Delight 100% Whole Wheat Bread, made in Utah ("Even Kids Love Me", which we found to be true)--thick sliced and moist. read more

I did love going to Macey's til they raised the price of their Crab Salad in the Meat Dept. it was at 3.99 a lb., then it went up to 4.99 a lb, in a matter of weeks, now its 5.99 a lb?? My God I did like it alot me and my boyfriend where there at least 1 to 2 times a week buying at least 4lbs, but not no more this is uncalled for, I could make a better salad, I mean imatation crab, water chestnuts and you raise the price that fast?
