Absolutely yes. Chips and salsa were homemade to start things off. Guac was average, avocados might have been a bit underripe. Service was a little slow but the food was clearly made from scratch so no complaints! The Camaron was unbelievable, never had it before but it was a curry like shrimp dish with so many flavors in a rush sauce that was more interesting the more I ate of it. Simply delicious. Ordered the pulpo y ayo which itself was delicious and worth 5 stars. Sliced pulpo but very garlicky! I wasn't too impressive with the sides. About 1/4C cilantro rice, French fries, and a very simple (very American) salad. So I squeezed lime on the salad and dipped the fries in the salsa. It helped but I'd just as well skip the plate next time and just get the main dish and a few tortillas. read more

I came around 4 PM on a Friday and there was only one occupied table. Service is quick, I was seated immediately. They give you free chips and salsa and they are surprisingly great. Vegetarian options are rather sparse.... I got a cheese quesadilla and ordered a side of the green sauce. The green sauce is to dye for. Delicious! A trip to Patagonia and an interest in having our girls see the border wall took us to Nogales. We picked this restaurant based on the reviews and could not have done better!!! Upon walking in, it was not crowded, but it quickly became busier. The restaurant was very clean and cute. The bathrooms were tidy and clean as well. All of the people working were helpful and friendly. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu - we had ceviche, horchatas, guacamole and shrimp tacos. All were so fresh and tasty! My friends and I were going to cross the border for some Mexican food, but one of us forgot to bring their passports. We ended up at Mariscos Chihuahua and ordered all the tacos here, their guac, a shrimp dish cooked in green chile and butter sauce which came with fries and salad, and flan. La Gobernadora was the best taco; the other tacos would've also been pretty good if they hadn't been so crazy salty. We also enjoyed the shrimp dish and their tortillas. The flan was packaged, from a specific Mexican brand which I cannot recall, but still one of my favorites - highly recommend. Unfortunately we found a piece of hair in the second guacamole that we ordered, but they did switch it out for us. read more

I live in Tucson and so I'm familiar with the Mariscos Chihuahua chain of Mariscos restaurants. I recently brought a friend, who is a native of Mexico, to this restaurant and she was blown away by the Quality and size of the seafood. I'm presuming that they get it out of the Sea of Cortez. The coctel de camarones was amazing! The shrimp were unparalleled. I've also had the camarones al mojo de Ajo, superb! And they make the best lime micheladas! This is definitely my favorite place in Nogales to eat! Totally worth the taxi ride if you have walked across the border. read more

My husband and I just got back from a 12 day road trip, and were exhanging memories of the trip. Of all the food we ate on the trip, my favorite dish was the marlin tacos at this place! They had a meaty and complicated flavor, with the fish being mixed with a special soup/sauce (we know because the cook came out and chatted with us to make sure everything was good). My husband had the fish a la placha, which was perfectly cooked and pleased even my picky man. We also enjoyed the shrimp ceveche as an appetizer, and my husband has now eaten his hat, as he previously refused to eat shrimp ceveche because he "didn't like it." I am a pescetarian, so i eat no meat other than fish. In the desert, finding a mexican restaurant that had pescado or mariscos was literally impossible! We drove around for 30 minutes, stopping at 3 other places before stumbling onto this unassuming spot. It's set back off the road in a strip-plaza looking area, but looks can be deceiving. My better half decided this was the spot to stop and eat. Walked into a clean and orderly resturant. Waitress was right there to let us know we could seat ourselves anywhere. We scoped out the menu and Cory Ann always worries about getting something blazing. We decided on the marlin tacos. The rice that comes with it is a kind of sticky rice. EXCELLENT would describe it. A small side salad was fresh and great toppings. The tacos were very good. All in all.....a great experience. ....with excellent service. Don't go to this place if you like seafood. They use raw shrimp in their cocktails which are gross. And the cocktail juice itself is brown and gross tasting and just all around disappointing. I was a little worried when I walked in and discovered I was the only one there, but I'm glad I stayed. I asked the waitress for some suggestions and she recommended the camarones culichi, shrimp in a green sauce served with salad, fries, rice, and flour tortillas. Since I had just flown in and had no time to grab lunch, I also ordered a tostada de ceviche and a single Marlin taco. The tostada came out first. Wow, I could have made a meal out of a few of these. The tostada was overflowing with shrimp. So fresh and delicious. The Marlin came next. This was unlike Marlin tacos I've had in Maui where they were chunks of grilled fish. This was smoked and shredded and then sautéed with some onion and peppers. Unique and very tasty. I was already getting full when my main course came out. The culichi sauce was amazing. I had to dip everything in it. Great meal and great prices. I definitely over ordered, but you bet I finished every bite. Next trip I'll probably try a cocktail to get more of that fresh seafood and wash it down with a couple micheladas. read more

After reading reviews we decided to try it. The service was great as were the margaritas. We asked our waitress about how spicy the sauces were before we placed our order. To our surprise, the chef came out with a sample of the sauce to be sure it worked for us! We've never had that level of service anywhere. We ordered the camaro cullichi and the red snapper culicchi. Enjoyed a nice meal with 9 friends and family on a Saturday night. Born and raised in Nogales coming home after 30 years it was a challenge to find a location and food that would not disappoint. Thanks to Yelp reviewers this place rose to the top. The staff was fast and friendly and re-arranged seating to accommodate our large group. No less than 3 ensured all of our needs were met. We had oysters on the half shell, ceviche, campechananas and the recommended Smoked Marlin Tacos did not disappoint. Everything was fresh and tasty.
