Neat little place in the middle of nowhere. The menu is huge so we had a lot to consider! I got a combo plate with the turkey tostada and the mango fish taco. Both were just okay, I wish I would've gotten something else. My father in law LOVED the chili rellenos. Service was friendly. A little slow at times but they were fairly busy since it was the during most people's Christmas vacations. I'd definitely give this place another chance! The Blueberry Burrito alone will keep me coming back.

I can't say enough good things about this place! I'd say it's the best Mexican food I have ever had. DEFINITELY try their chimichanga. I have never seen it fried so deliciously anywhere. Their green enchilada sauce (vegetarian) is so delicious and thick. I like to get it on the side and pour it on the chimichanga myself. For vegan, I get the chimichanga with their refried beans and whole beans (both vegetarian) and ask for veggie fajitas. Rice has chicken stock. They have tortillas with or without lard available and the ones without lard are delicious. Their tamales are super delicious too-- I had the vegan calabacitas tamale, they also have vegan green corn. I like the the service staff knows about ingredients or are happy to check. The atmosphere outside on lovely patio is peaceful and Coco the sweet cat comes to say hi :)

I love Wisdom's! I was first told about it when I moved to the Green Valley/Sahuarita area back in 2017. I became a regular customer, getting together with my friends several times a month. The food is very good, the staff are all very friendly and cheerful and the ambiance is fun, like the authentic old west. By the way..Ribs Night is terrific! Ribs that are nicely seasoned and fall off the bone. Try the Tequila Sea Salt ice cream for dessert. You will quickly become a big fan. Whether talking to Herb, Celeste or Cliff, you will always be greeted with a smile and leave well fed. Enjoy....we alway

If you are a margarita lover, you need to give Wisdom's Cafe a try! The margaritas are strong and flavorful - we tried each flavor at our table and were impressed with all. The food was authentic and delicious - I had the chili relleno and our table agreed that it was one of the best any of us had had before.

We had a great evening at wisdoms last night, live music and great margaritas. Mary Hixom is a wonderful meal along with the cheese crisp. Highly recommend reservations on Friday and Saturday night with live music!

Ask the Community - Wisdom's Cafe

Do you have a separate vegetarian/vegan menu? Or can you suggest a dish that your kitchen can convert easily - for example a mushroom or calabacita fajita or enchilada, or even as filling to sub for meat in burrito? Thanks for your consideration

I quickly Noticed how super clean this Italian restaurant was & so were the restrooms. It's a very big restaurant everything is highly organized with attention to details. The atmosphere very warm and friendly. Our hostess greeted us and and sat us down so Kind of her. We looking at our menu, when Bryan approached us, asked if we had any questions. I did , he answered them beautifully! They have so many choices to choose from. They have pastas, soups & salads, appetizers, house traditions, chef's specials, pizzas, hero's, burgers, and desserts! Their price points are spot on and for amount of food it's Amazing !! Our waiter Bryan was very polite, wonderful, kind, caring, sweet, super down to earth. He has this positive energy about himself that really radiates! He is your Shining Star!! His shine never fades!! We ordered Bolognese, and Traditional Cheese 12" with 2 sodas. The dishes are so delicious. Bryan also made sure if we needed anything, he was on it! I would like to Thank the Staff at The Italian Peasant for being so warm & friendly! Everyone we interacted with was kind, courteous, and tried to be helpful. Unfortunately, the food was very underwhelming. We ordered the burger with mac & cheese, a French dip sandwich, biscuits and gravy, chili cheese fries, zucchini fries, and drinks for two adults and two kids. None of us finished our meals. My son's mac & cheese had a pool of oil underneath it, the biscuits and gravy left a greasy film on the roof of our mouths, the cheese on the chili cheese fries tasted very artificial, and the zucchini fries were slimy. I also found a piece of brown paper in my food. I showed it to the staff, and they apologized. They told me they would remove the meal from the bill and even offered me a cinnamon roll for the inconvenience, which I initially accepted because I appreciated the gesture. However, when I went to pay, I realized they had only discounted the meal by half instead of removing it entirely. At that point, everything kind of fell apart for me. I no longer wanted the cinnamon roll because I was genuinely disappointed with the entire experience. I didn't argue about it because the staff had been very kind, it had already taken quite a while just to pay, and I needed to leave. Another surprise was the pricing. The menu made it seem like the meals came with a side, but we were charged separately for each one. The drinks were around $4 each, even for the kids. Our total came to $73 before the partial discount and was still about $65 afterward. I understand this isn't meant to be gourmet dining, and I'm usually perfectly happy with simple diner food if it tastes good. Unfortunately, this just didn't. It was one of those meals where you leave thinking, "Well, I ate," but not feeling like you actually enjoyed it. For the price, it was especially disappointing. I honestly feel like we could have had a better meal almost anywhere else for less money even somewhere like McDonald's, and I'm not a fan of McDonald's. I truly appreciate how friendly and accommodating the staff were, which is why I'm giving more than one star. I just hope the food quality and value improve because the service deserves better than the food that's being served.

Dark beams, creaky floors, mounted longhorns, and a massive old Brunswick backbar that probably has more stories than half the regulars. Walking in feels like stepping onto a movie set, except the beer is cold and the people are real. The menu is refreshingly short: burgers, a couple sandwiches, green-chile stew, and usually a burrito or enchilada plate. Nothing fancy, but everything is made in-house and tastes like it. We were bummed they were 86'd on the beef burrito the day we went but the cheeseburger more than made up for it. Hand-formed patty, properly griddled with crisp edges, good cheddar, fresh toppings, and a toasted bun that held together. Fries were hot and salty. Service is friendly in that small-town "you're not a stranger for long" way. Prices are fair, the patio dogs are welcome, and there's live music on weekends that somehow never drowns out conversation. Bottom line: if you're anywhere near Patagonia, make the detour. Grab a stool at the ancient bar, order whatever they still have left, and soak in one of the most authentic saloons southern Arizona has left.
