They installed it without asking any questions, and after they left I noticed the hoop could only extend to a max of 6 feet tall, rendering it useless. Why wouldn't you talk to me before you cemented it in? Now I'm out $225 and all they offered to do is cut it down and I got the reply " we did what you asked us to do." * update: the "Fabulous Mr. Fix It" still hasn't removed the hoop as promised. No protective coverings were placed on the stairs to the third floor bathroom, and both the contractor and his crew consistently walked through our home with their boots on. We now need to hire a professional company to clean the vents. We also encountered several unexpected additional charges throughout the project. While the workmanship itself was acceptable (a B), the lack of cleanliness and care for our home was extremely concerning (a D-). At the completion of the job the contractor also left two buckets of watery grout in our garage for us to dispose of. He didn't even have the courtesy to call and let me know he dropped the job . My father had to call pretending to want a quote for floor sanding just to talk to him to try and find out why . They did have a charge associated with having the architect come out that was very small. I can't remember what it was, but it will be baked into the ultimate project payments. Did I shop around? They have amazing integrity, good pricing from my past shopping around, I can trust them with my dogs and we are mimicking the amazing front porch design they created for me so it just makes sense to stay with a company I trust.
