I needed two 38 year old Ash trees thinned and lightened. Mack Tree Service provided a reasonable proposal, I accepted and we set a work date. The crew arrived on time and began trimming and opening spaces between the branches. They removed dead branches and seven hours later I had the most beautifully trimmed and lightened Ash trees. Chris and his team removed a large oak tree with roots headed toward the house's foundation and limbs overhanging the roof. As large branches came down, without a single branch hitting a nearby fence, the crew would cut and carry these out to the chipper. The work was efficient and effective with the tree stump gound down and excellent mulch (piled neatly) left for use in our raised planters. We were so pleased with the work, we asked Chris to return to remove an old and unhappy magnolia. This job was completed within a few hours with all branches and leaves cleaned up and hauled away. I am a caretaker for an estate in Marin and I've used Mack Tree for all of our tree work for a number of years. Chris and his crew are extremely courteous and thorough and I have trusted them to do all of the tree removal and pruning work on the estate. Last February we had a 100 foot 98 year old cypress tree fall on the main entrance gate to the house and I was desperate to find someone who would come out and clear the tree from the gate so that the owners could exit with their car. Maybe I'd consider to have them come to take out a tree but never have them "work" on a tree, aka butcher job. I called him on Tuesday requesting an estimate to have a plum tree removed from my back yard & he came over the next day to take a look at it while I was at work and quoted me a good price that I couldn't pass up! He told me he wouldn't be able to get it done until next week which I was fine with BUT then he called me 2 days later on Friday morning letting me know he can get it done on Friday while I'm at work. I am very glad to have Jon work in my place by trimming a very large pine tree with large branches leaning over my house and my neighbor's house. Besides improving the overall look of the tree and making it safer, he did a very good cabling job to secure the 3 main trunks of the tree, each leaning out from each other.
