This grocery store is clean, offers great service, convenient, and provides quality items. A great choice in Minnetrista

If you find yourself even remotely close to St. Boniface, do yourself a favor and make a pilgrimage…read moreto this butcher shop - it's an absolute gem and a non-negotiable stop for us! They have a deli, vast meat selection, and hot food to order! They also have lunch specials so there's really never a bad time to come. Everyone who works here is so friendly, willing to offer help, suggestions, and food pairings. There is a small seating area inside but tables available on the front porch as well! Every visit here for us is a treat, but there are a few items that are consistently at the top of our list. I am absolutely obsessed with their pickle roll-up pasta salad. It's uniquely delicious and has that perfect tangy, savory balance that keeps me coming back for more. Their honey dill smoked salmon is another personal favorite; it's incredibly tender with a beautiful smoky flavor and just the right hint of sweet honey and dill. My husband is equally in love with their maple glaze smoked salmon - it's sweet, rich, and perfectly smoked. And for a quick, satisfying snack, his go-to is always their turkey jerky, which is packed with flavor. Beyond the specialty items, their fresh meats are simply unmatched! We've bought many of their steaks, and they are consistently fantastic (highly recommend their NY strips and tomahawks when you feel fancy). No matter how we grill them, they always turn out incredibly moist and juicy. But the real star in the grilling department I think might just be their brats. Seriously, the casing on these brats is perfection - it crisps up beautifully on the grill, creating that satisfying snap with every bite. I've tried brats from so many places, and none come close to the crispiness and flavor of theirs. The quality, flavor, and unique selection here truly make it a standout. This isn't just a butcher shop; it's honestly a culinary destination! A definite must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-notch meats and delicious prepared foods.

They have lots of local eats and are happy to help you find what you need. The brats are the best. Cant go wrong with any flavor. I have always liked the wild rice one- although Im not sure if they stopped making it or if its just seasonal. The breakfast burrito is also amazing. They have cry baby craigs hot sauce- if you know you know.

They purposely sold it to us, because they kept smelling it going in the back then getting the Manager, then smelling it, and then going in the back, then they told him that it was fine, then sold it to him with the excuse that Pork "always" smells bad (which is a lie). My poor boyfriend smoked it today, spending his whole day off on the project, and it still stinks and tastes rotten. It stunk up our house with a sour smell. When we called the store, a disrespectful and unprofessional butcher named Jeff started mansplaining me about how all pork smells like that--which, of course, it doesn't--and would not let me get a word in edgewise, defensively raising his voice and being a jerk. Of course, I have cooked pork my entire life and never come across this kind of stink before. DO NOT BUY MEAT FROM THIS STORE. THEY WILL SELL YOU ROTTEN MEAT JUST TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN WON'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HAVING DONE SO!! Their response was rude, insulting, and unapologetic. My poor boyfriend feels totally taken advantage of by this business.

Swiss was the Cady Wisconsin that was the cheapest and just as good as any other. A good amount of staff working the deli. The bread was close by. I like that I can get the house artisan brand as a half loaf. Different varieties as well. What I was really there for. I got hooked on Fever-Tree sparkling pink grapefruit water. It's a 4 pack in 6.8 oz. bottles. A small size, but at least it keeps you from feeling bloated. It's delicious and would be a good mixer base. They have a lot of different flavors. This is actually nice to look at. 35 calories and no artificial sweeteners. As you walk in is the cheese in the center. I passed this time, but my favorite brie is the Fromage brand. This seems like a smaller building than others which seems to make it less crazy. The check out experience was most memorable. Two of the coolest staff. One was so colorful, super friendly. She asked if I wanted the receipt. I almost passed then I spotted the thing where you donate your receipt. I donated to a local high school marching band. I was proud of that. The other was younger, still looked like a student who packed and took my bags to the trunk which I popped cause I had to use the rest room on the long schlep back to St. Paul. She seemed like she was glad to be there just to help me out. This makes me want a summer place here.
