Not to mention it's dirt cheap. I eat A LOT of fruits and veggies, which can get pretty pricey...thanks to Fruit King I can afford to feed myself :) And the good doesn't stop there. For such a tiny hole-in-the-wall market they still manage to have a great variety of produce. I should mention though that if you're looking for a fully stocked grocery you've come to the wrong place. However, they do carry things are difficult to find in regular groceries (for example, lemon grass...I can NEVER find lemon grass!). And you'll find other goodies besides fruits and veggies-- cheap spices, dry noodles, Asian cooking sauces, canned/jarred goods, dried fruit, etc. As far as service goes it's top-notch. When the call was made a very mean grumpy miserable old man had answered the phone and in a very angry voice said "this is the meat department ! You should be calling the main store line !" I told him this was the main number on the website that given. If this is not the number can you transfer me? He said " NO !" With that the man hung up on me. I used to come down to this area to support this small business and dropped in for fresh berries for a super price compared to Sobeys a few doors down. Did so again today. Store staff aren't particularly brimming with friendliness but that's okay as the mission is to get high quality food for what each of us deems reasonable. Cash is king! The only area that's missing is an aisle with laundry detergent that's not but other than that we love going up here because they are open more frequently than other grocery stores.
