I'm personally not a fan of the stereotypical glammed out wedding photos where a lot of hair/makeup/etc is required, and was looking for someone who could take more artistic, unique photos for us. So glad we found Sam, his work caught my eye from the start and as he continued to work with us through engagement photos and then the big day, it became super clear that he is an experienced professional and was the perfect fit for us! Neither my husband (still weird to say haha) nor I are easily relaxed in front of a camera, so it was pretty nerve wracking for us to even think about getting professional photos taken where we didn't look like hot messes. However Sam's super calm demeanor and clear direction made everything feel so easy. The day of, we had about 40 people for photos in a variety of spaces at the St. George Botanical Gardens in the US Virgin Islands, and Sam did an amazing job at crowd control. There was no sense of anxiety or rushing even though it's so hard to direct such a wandering large group of people. He was also totally open to the ridiculous poses we wanted to do for fun. We never felt any pressure to stand in or pose in places that felt difficult or unnatural for us. I also really appreciated his attention to detail during the shot setups, I'm sure something he's developed into second-hand nature through his career thus far. Sunglasses and purses were all appropriately out of view, boutonnieres and were perfectly in place with his direction, and we got some crazy artistic shots of us utilizing the colors and shapes and textures around us so well. Ultimately, it was his unique techniques that resulted in absolutely stunning and mind-blowing photos that are so cool to have for the rest of our lives. While Sam's work speaks for itself, we really had such an enjoyable experience having such a wonderful photographer who wasn't too intrusive but firm enough with herding our crazy friends into place to get the best shots. Without us even really noticing his whereabouts throughout the day, he gave us over 1000 absolutely fantastic photos from our wedding day and he worked solo with minimal equipment - really goes to show how his work is seated in pure skill. Several of our friends are already expressing interest in hiring him for their weddings in the future, and I'm also thinking about what future events we could have him join us for again.

More of an old fashioned get to know you process with phone calls. We spoke with Kempton for all of that. He was attentive and helpful with juggling our schedules. Brett worked so well with our kids. He is perceptive and masterful. Our session was chaotic but he didn't miss a beat. The unveiling was super cool. We walked into the studio to see our painting on the easel in all of its glory. I'm not usually a crier but it really got me. This portrait will always hold a special place in our family.

I paid for a voucher worth 2k at a recent charity event. When I called to schedule, the woman I spoke with (I assume she is the office manager) could not have been ruder. When I mentioned what I was looking for - a portrait of our family dog, she told me they don't do pet portraits. She then told me they used to do animals, but no longer do them. Below is dog portrait on the Lubin site, which I exhaustively looked through prior to buying the voucher at auction. I then asked her if she could show me where the policy was listed online and she got irritated and said, "if you can't find it, I don't know what to tell you." Following that comment, I asked to speak to one of the artists to see if they would make an exception and she offered to connect me with him in mid-July, which at the time was three months away. I was literally taken aback by the treatment and that she would not work to find 10 minutes for a call with Mr. Lubin so that I could understand a bit more about the policy, which is nowhere to be found online. When I asked her why they changed the policy, (which again is not on their website) she said she didn't know. I also have to laugh because there are many reviews on here and on Google about the rude staff - one customer below described her poor experience, and she actually had portraits of her dogs done. I finally just chalked the whole experience up to making a very nice donation to the charity but have encouraged them to not work with Lubin again. If this business does not want to talk to customers who have vouchers with respect, then they should not donate vouchers to local charities. Additionally, they really need to make their policies clear and not false advertise. Very poor experience. Do not recommend.

Well. since you asked-- his name is Greg Gibson and he is awesome. He used to work for the Post as a photojournalist and even won a Pulitzer. He is super reliable and conscientious too. He tore his ACL the week before our wedding, but still showed (on crutches). He brought 3 assistants with him so we had a team of photographers. I called them "Team Photog" all day.

Virginia so of course we did it on the steps of the Supreme Court) and she was AMAZING YA'LL. Everyone who sees my photos is completely blown away; I asked Rachel to take us around DC like tourists and do more a photo shoot than a traditional wedding, and she selected the *perfect* places to go for to-die-for backgrounds. Her photography editing is impeccable, and I had multiple people tell me that our photos look like they belong in a magazine. Rachel herself is wonderfully fun and easy to work with, and helped us have FUN with our photos. I went to 4 weddings this year...all they all had photobooth..so by now i'm used to cramming in a small telephoneboothish space and get my hair all tangled up in some smelly props just to squeeze half a face into a picture then you get a somewhat cheesy poor quality of a photo from the photo booth. Hsupreme Services, HOWEVER, is on ANOTHER LEVEL all together: 1. We could COMFORTABLY fit EIGHT people per frame. I was able to photo bomb all large groups. Muwhahaha 2. The picture quality was AMAZING! (I've plastered them all over my fridge) 3. There were many many awesome props to choose from (way more than any of the other photobooths i've experienced), and they were new looking.. even the wigs were neat and pretty! 4. The bride and groom were able to pick the background that was special and meaningful to them verses just a blank background 5. The people working the booth were very professional and they took their time with the set ups to make sure everything was perfect like a professional photoshoot. Seriously I had never looked that good in photobooth pictures. lol. I highly recommend Hsupreme Services, but if you want to provide your guests with a crappy "ghetto" photo booth like most weddings provide, then look else where!!
