The park itself is large and very open with plenty of space. There is many hiking trails, lake side trails and wooded trails. Perfect for walking, running, hiking or biking! Kayak and boat rentals are also available for the decent sized lake (which also has the notorious long bridge crossing the lake too)!! There are areas for picnics and fishing too. Just be aware that there are times that the lot does get full; however there is street parking. I was surprised that we had no difficulty with parking today. It was such a gorgeous, dry late Sunday morning. For parents with babies and young children in strollers (and for other "pet parents" using strollers) I have a beagle who has difficulty walking. She needs a stroller so I have brought her many times with it.... I don't have difficulty on the walking paths or in the parking lot... it's very easy for me which is so nice. It means I can bring both dogs with me alone at times (today was a super bonus because my husband walked our other pup). As far as wheelchair accessibility, I need to check it out more carefully next time. Having spent only a small amount of time in a wheelchair a few decades ago - I can relate to how difficult it can be to get around. I am pretty sure it's very easily accessible. I will check everything when I go back... The restrooms are pretty clean most of the time. It's nice that they are there!! There are many benches throughout the park. It's hard not to be "in the moment" and "mindful" while at this park. There's so much beauty. Today we saw many ducks swimming. And the sunlight against the bright blue sky...... Didn't want to leave!!
