The Filipino lady on the second floor was putting clothes back when the line went down and she knew I was ready to pay and wouldn't come back to the register to help me on purpose. So I walk to the register across the way by the old photo studio, and there are 4 people behind the registers. 2 helping people on one side and the other 2 facing me see me but don't acknowledge me or anything. They just keep counting money and talking to each other and act like they never saw me standing there waiting to pay. I have to walk all the way toward the entrance to the mall and there finally was a cashier there to help me. Very poor customer service. Funny, because when I walk toward the parking lot exit, the Filipino lady that didn't want to help me was back behind the register helping other people. I feel like I was being discriminated. Like they only want to help who they want to help when they want to help. Jerks. Please don't think you are above people just cause you work at Macy's. You still have to serve people even if it is not McDonald's. read more

When Macy's was the only place in the mall to buy MAC Cosmetics this is where I would always be. The MAC employees are always very helpful and kind. Now that there is a MAC store open. I only come here if I want to look at and try some perfumes. Yes I know that there is Sephora but Macy's tends to have the box sets that I like because it's cheaper and you get more stuff. I occasionally buy shoes and accessories but it is rare. I ALWAYS stay away when they have those special coupons. I'm not one to be around crowds. read more

So sad, a friend of mine at work is experiencing the same thing I complained about in my review. He doesn't know who to talk to to resolve this issue. I tell you people, watch the charge card balances.....my friend is just like me he pays he's bill in full each month. It's August 2016 and Macy's is sending him a bill for something purchased in June 2016. Again, why doesn't old stuff like that show up in other bills? Like July's bill? ......Bed Buying Beware.... The sales associate who helped me was very patient and nice. She helped me find a bed that was at a great price but it came with an additional $99 delivery charge. Thinking that I could get a friend to help with the pick up - I opted to not get the bed delivered. But there is a huge caveat to bed pick up. Beds must be picked up at Campbell Industrial Park, on M-F, from 8-11 a.m. or 12-2:00 p.m. I think that this is poor customer service! Who can pick up a bed - when the only operating hours are so limited? Auwe. Macy's... No doubt you would like to make a marginal profit by offering the convenient service of delivery - but please provide support for those who decide to pick up our orders - by extending the pick up times to include at least a partial Saturday, or some hours between 4:30-7:00p.m. read more

This Macy's is a smaller (and therefore less well-stocked) store as compared to Ala Moana, but the staff here are very helpful. In particular, Ashley in the shoe department was so helpful in getting my mom shoes for her weirdly-sized feet and even scoured the clearance display shelf to help her find the right size. I've been on the hunt for a new makeup foundation and have been eyeing the Estée Lauder double wear one. Since Sephora Pearlridge doesn't carry it, I figured I try Macy's. I came in yesterday morning about 10:40. Kristy; the salesgirl was the one who helped me. I'm not sure what it was, but she seemed very annoyed. Because of that first impression attitude I simply told her what I was looking for and the shade. There was no follow up questions such as "have you tried this before" or "do you need a concealer or pressed powder"...there just wasn't anything (which is sad, because I did want to look into those). She seemed disgusted with me and simply being there so I wasn't about to "make her day worse" with questions on what I wanted/ needed. I'm giving two stars just for the location of Estée Lauder. However, I won't be going back to that counter or trying out the brand anymore. read more

Hadn't been to Pearlridge in ages--was rushing to get a card for a friend. John was my cashier. He was so friendly in a quiet way. As I waited in line, he looked up and said "I'll be right with you." I've been shopping a lot at Macy's recently as the discounts are becoming too hard to pass up. But I prefer the Ala Moana location over this one. The staff here is not very helpful or friendly in MULTIPLE departments. The selection is smaller (yeah the location is smaller too but that doesn't mean you stock this location with crappier items) and the layout is a little weird. For some reason the excitement I find while shopping at other macy's on the island isn't here at this location. It isn't horrible, just not my first choice. Spend the extra gas and keep it moving to a different location. read more

Macy's is notorious for their sales and I'm one of those people that will sometimes wake up early for their one day sales if they have a sale on something I need. None the less they always have a sale on something. They have the typical stuff you'd find at Macy's, but not as much as the one in Ala Moana. I like browsing through the clothes in the "mstylelab" and looking for some good things in the clearance racks. It's always kind of messy but oh well, I've worked in retail and I for one know that it's hard to keep the racks neat and orderly. Good place to shop for clothes and household goods at a decent price. read more

I've never really had any issues or bad experiences coming to Macy's but my one bad experience outweighs any good here. I went to the MAC counter in Macy's to buy an item. I already knew what I wanted so I stood in line to pay. There was one girl in front of me & another girl on the side trying on makeup. As soon as the worker finishes ringing up the first girl, she walks away like I wasn't even there. I understand that the girl trying on makeup was there first but the worker didn't even acknowledge I was there like saying "I'll be right with you" or something. She just completely ignored me & made no eye contact & went along to help the other girl. So I waited at the register for her to come back (already a little irritated) and she comes back and tells me if I can move so she can ring up the other girl. "WOW" I've never had such bad customer service there before. All I can say is, I won't be going back there ever. She was so rude & the worst! read more

I am a fan of Macy's. I love that you get all these coupon cards that get you either 20% off your purchase or $20 off a certain amount that you spend. Employees here are all very nice. I never really had a problem with anyone. Everything is pretty organize and easy to find. They always have great sales! I love quality clothing and sales :) read more

My hometown Macy's is definitely a solid choice as a place to shop for apparel and a variety of household items, but it isn't the best. Macy's Ala Moana is larger and offers a better variety of merchandise and other specialty stores will usually carry household items that Macy's won't. That being said, Macy's Pearlridge does still have a lot to offer at largely reasonable prices. They recently stocked their kitchen department with an enormous variety of Martha Steward brand products, though they've scaled back offerings of more expensive items, such as crystal stemware and quality flatware. If you're looking for men's formal/business clothing, you're better off going to Ala Moana Macy's, as they have a much larger selection. read more

This is for Cassie at the MAC counter in Macy's Pearlridge. You ROCK!!! I went in there the other day because I was running low on some items and I wanted to check out some MAC products which I had been reading about. I wanted to get some liquid foundation and didn't know my shade and after browsing the counter and seeing who the counter people were, I asked Cassie (I loved the way she had her makeup and she had helped someome earlier and came across as being very knowledgible) for assistance. Cassie explained the different foundation products and asking me questions as well. Next, she matched the color and did my whole face explaining everything as she went from putting on the face primer, to foundation, concealer, and powder. She then did filled in my eyebrows which she complimented me on its shape, then my mascara and eyes, oh and she also suggested and applied a blush which I rarely use but after that I was hooked. To top it off, she told me of the upcoming MAC special showing that was coming up in Feb and that I should get signed up..that way I can try on and get made up which I just love. Cassie was very professional and polite and I loved all the tips she gave me as she did my little mini makeover..she is definitely my go to person from now on for MAC. read more

Macy's is suffering financially and today I experienced the reason why. Why would anyone waste their time and gas to experience terrible customer service when they can buy online or elsewhere at cheaper prices? After standing in line for 10 minutes, the cashier tells us, rudely, that the line starts on the other side. Really? Where is the sign saying that? But I walk over to the other side of the register and immediately after I get there, she calls me back to her register as she is now ready to help me. Seriously? I was just there 5 seconds ago! Was she trying to tell me I needed the exercise? Can Macy's really afford to mistreat loyal customers? I guess they can! So farewell Macy's, I will be taking my business to Amazon and Nordstrom where they know what the words customer service mean! read more

Normally I like Macy's but here in Hawaii they have turned it into a flea market, the one in Pearl City in particular. It has a weird funky smell like old shoe when you walk in. All of the display counters are old and most are broken. The floors are old and scuffed up. It is over crowded and not maintained like Macy's should be. It looks and smells more like a K-Mart than a Macy's. read more

The store's system was down so they couldn't process any purchases with any credit cards.  So they were nice enough to put it on hold for those who needed to purchase with a credit card, and we could pick it up the following day.  Well, I couldn't make it the following day, so I called the day after to make sure it was still on hold, but they said they put everything away by 11am.  I guess I should have asked how long they were able to hold it, but I'm pissed that it was THEIR system that made us put our stuff on hold and they couldn't even call us to let us know the system was up and we are able to use our credit cards.  This particular Macy's does not seem to be very customer-oriented. read more

I bought earrings from fine jewelry department. The blue topaz stone fell out after 6 weeks. I came back to get stone put back in. Sales person said where is receipt told them I charged it on my Macy's card, just paid bill. Told they only guarantee for 30 day's. Did I buy extended warranty. Told them no one told me about it, said it was on the receipt. They finally agreed to reset stone , but stated I bent the frame and I would have to pay to get it fixed. I took it to a real jeweler the frame wasn't bent, the stone was just glued in and it was a bad job. I will never buy fine jewelry from Macy's again. read more

I love Macy's and you can't beat the sales. The best selection is at Ala Moana but the staff at Windward Mall and Pearlridge are great. If you don't find what you're looking for in your size you can always order it online. There is no problem returning it with the receipt. My favorite thing about Macy's Ala Moana is the Pineapple room. Great food but don't go there for dinner or it will cost you a bundle. read more

This is a review for the Watch department at Macys!.. Well not the watch department, but a certain employee that works in the watch department! On two occasions I have experienced terrible service from the same employee at the watch department at this Macys! I usually don't write a review directed towards a specific person, but this woman was absolutely ridiculous! I worked in a large retail store for a while, and know that when dealing with a large volume of customers you need to be good multitasker,quick, yet personable with the people you help. She is neither of these, and is PAINFULLY slow, and very rude! The first time I went to exchange my watch that my mom sent me from Macys on the mainland, she INSISTED that because it wasn't from THAT specific Macys, I couldn't return it, and that I was stuck with the watch I had...Seriously?? That makes NO sense.. I argued with her for a good 15 minutes that it didn't matter what Macys it was from, as long as I had the receipt (which I did), and the watch hadn't been worn! (which it hadn't!) So I asked to speak with a manager, who quickly apologized for the error, and exchanged the watch for me. The second time I went to get the watch resized, I saw the same lady working!! I rolled my eyes and was tempted to leave, but I REALLY wanted to wear my watch that night! The counter wasn't busy, so I figured I could get in and out super quick!.. UMM NO! A man was looking at watches through the glass counter, and she just STOOD there watching him... I wasn't even asking to try on watches.. he was JUST looking. and yet she seemed to be completely focused on him, and didn't care that I needed help! FINALLY I got her to talk to me. and when I asked her to resize my watch. She told me she was busy and it was going to be 15 minutes and that I would have to leave my watch with her, and come back later and get it.... she was going to write my name and number on a POST IT NOTE, and leave my watch behind the counter next to the computer.. just out in the open!! umm HELL NO I'm not going to leave my $300 watch with you! haha you must be crazzyy!! When I asked if anyone else could remove watch link's, considering she was SO "busy", She told me No.. and that she was the ONLY person.. Okay,.. we will see about that... I walked to another near by counter and asked a second woman if she could resize watches.. She told me that she could! and she could do it right then!.. THANK GOODNESS!! If I EVER have to go back to the watch counter at Macys for ANY reason, and I see this woman working, I'm going to do a 180.. and walk out the door!! read more

I love love love Macy's! You can never go wrong shopping here. I love the major sales and discounts they have like all the time. I usually pay less than I expect to every time. Especially for tons of name brand stuff, how can I say no?! The service is stellar too. Shout out to Carollyn in the shoe department for helping me in finding the right size for these adorable Michael Kors flats. Plus she gave me the inside scoop on the sale they were having today, so I got to buy two pairs of flats at 30% off for both, even though the other pair I nabbed was already on sale at a discounted price. I am so pleased. The same thing happened while I was shopping on the second floor women's department. I got this amazing zip up blouse that is so in right now for $17 when the original price was $80! I think it was because a button on the sleeve was defective but I know how to sew and this was too much of a deal to pass up!!! I have nothing but excellent things to say about this Macy's so they deserve a five star review. read more
