I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of options, vibrant colors (preferably without floral print), and moderate to low prices. I walked away with so many tops, bottoms, and dresses. The sales force at this store is the worse of the worst. They don't look at you while they are ringing up the sale and you are lucky if you get a thank you after paying. Virshawn was a fantastic help, very kind and helpful in fragrances I found out that my favorite Fendi perfume was discontinued to my disappointment. As much as i love Macy's I am always disappointed by the Estee Lauder counter here. Every time that I am looking for something at their counter, they don't have it. I always need to be prepared for the possibility of them not having what I need at the time and the ordering process is lengthy. Always days. It would be nice if they kept track of their inventory well enough to know how far in advance to order so it will be in sufficient supply. I live in California but had the best help tonight with KATE in Fine Jewelry looking for GUESS earrings that were no longer available on line. I called three stores in my area of Los Angeles and the Macy's in my town told me only two pair left in FL and two in Long Island, out of all the Macy's in the country. I knew my chances were slim but fortunately I got Kate (a half hour before closing) who took the time to look it up by Web ID. She took my number to call me back, not promising anything. Meanwhile, I called the store in NY and got a man who put me on hold for two minutes and came back and said he looked and found nothing, right. I didn't expect Kate to call back that night but roll it over to another day and perhaps pass it off to another sales person. Lo and behold she found both pairs, on clearance and took care of my charge order over the phone!!! Awesome job Kate. I used to be a big fan of Macy's. I was very excited when they opened the dual location in Aventura Mall years ago, but with every visit, my opinion of this location drops. The store is not maintained. Associates are lethargic. And my few encounters with management have always been disappointing, to say the least. During my visit to the Macy's in Aventura Mall, I was testing the long term comfort of a couch with some friends. Earlier in the visit, we were unjustly asked not to hang out in the "expensive" furniture section. This tall salesman in a yellow shirt got extraordinarily angry at us for testing the long term comfort of our couch. He yelled at me and my friends that he wanted us to leave before he got really irritated. We weren't even in the more expensive furniture section. He never made it clear that he didn't want us to "hang out" in the entire furniture section. The tone of his voice made me feel threatened and afraid that he was going to use physical force to make us to leave the store. The couch we were testing was on the opposite side of the escalator to get out of the furniture section, and he followed us all of the way around the floor, yelling at us the whole time. This experience had made me seriously reconsider taking my business to Macy's in the future. read more

I am a huge fan of Macy's they have incredible sales and on top of the sales you can use the coupons they send you! The clerks there are very friendly and always willing to help you find thing or find the best coupon to use! The only thing that could be better is their Ralph Lauren section they used to have the professional wear and now it's just the casual stuff. I applied for a job interview at Macy's for the holidays on October 3rd. Two days later, I received a job interview to come on the dates that they provided. On October 19th, I went to my job interview for 3 P.M. I got there at 2:45 and ask to start my interview early. Keep in mind, they told me to be at the women's department. A sales associate named Taylor with blonde hair told me that I had to go to the men's department for my interview, which is on the other side of the mall. I spent 10 minutes walking all over the place to find the men's department. After I found it, they informed me that I had to go BACK to the women's department because they were low on staff and they informed the women's department 30 MINUTES ago that they couldn't except my interview there. So I went back to the women's department, and waited for 30 MINUTES FOR SOME ONE TO HELP ME. Asking for help seemed adnormal to the employees because they looked at me like they didn't want to be bothered. To make matters worse, I was informed by a past coworker that there is a short cut to the mens department. I was very disappointed and left in tears because I did not receive "The magic of Macy's" treatment. It was was an unfortunate experience. read more

Macys Aventura, the womens store is absolutely disscusting, the fittings rooms were very sloppy, doors and walls near there were dirty and even the carpets were terrible and the prices like a high end store , no chairs by the sitting rooms most other stores have them , in the shoe department there were chairs in terrible condition what a shock, i for sure dont recommend spending big money in a store that doesnt care how it looks inside and the help not very friendy no drive to make sales..the rest of the mall is gorgeous . Will never shop at Macy's again! Have had an ongoing horrible experience since purchasing a mattress from their store. Have been treated horribly as a customer, still have yet to receive the correct delivery after TWO failed delivery attempts, and Macy's doesn't care. Absolutely disappointed and offended at their lack of customer service and their inability to address situations that occur because of errors on their part. If you are purchasing big ticket items that require delivery, or if you simply want to be valued as a customer, I would recommend going down the road to another retailer. So disappointing! read more

Appalling customer service! I visited the Macy's Men's home furniture department in Aventura Mall last night to pick up my boyfriends suit that needed to be tailored for a wedding. We also needed to buy a shirt and tie. In the shirt department I needed assistance finding the right size, I ask the ONLY girl standing in that department for some help and she tells me "I don't work in shirts" and walks off. Finally another gentleman comes up and helps me find what I need. When I am ready to make my purchase I go over to the register and hand the man my suit pick up ticket. He leaves to go find it and after a few minutes comes back and says "I can't find it anywhere", and leaves again to look in another area. The man disappears for over 20 min. After 15min I ask this woman at the next register to help me and explain to her my situation and all she can tell me is "I can't help you" and goes back to what she's doing. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS? At this point I am fed up with the entire ordeal and ask for a refund. The man finally returns with NO SUIT, saying "alternations lost it". He proceeds to take 15min more to give me a refund, it is obvious to me he has no idea what he's doing and calls over 2 other employees to help him...FINALLY I leave the store without so much as an apology from any of them, nor did they even offer to replace the suit or anything. This type of service is outrageous to me and I have never been treated so poorly by a department store. It is a shame that Macy's had to loose on a $500 purchase because their employees are incompetent. read more

Bobbie Brown cosmetics - AMAZING!!! Mark is the kindest and the best professional I've ever met. While on vacation, this was suppose to be a light stroll for me over in the make up department, when he asked me if I look for something in particular. I explained that if he can help me with any products that can calm my irritated chronic acne, that would be a miracle. He recommended a facial soap and cream and I've been using them ever since. You use so little from the products, yet even in that dosage it is so much helpful. The products are helpful and certainly I would never forget Mark's kindness. read more

On Saturday, 10/15/2016, I purchased a pair of shoes that cost $94.61 for work. It happened that I wore them on Thursday, October 20th, 2016 for a couple of hours due to them being uncomfortable and peeling one of my toes and back of my heels had blister. I was not very happy, luckily i have couple of shoes at work and changed. It came Saturday, 10/22/2016 and went to Macy's after work to exchange them or get a credit. The cashier told me that I could not return them since i wore them already (which i have done this before ) specially if they uncomfortable. Anyways, I asked to speak to a manager, Nadia (no last name) and told me she can not take them back that is the policy, then I spoke to another manager not very helpful either, Yesenia (no last name again). I asked for a number and address for Macys and Nadia gave me 800 289-6229 which as a manager supposedly she did not have it and google it. The number she gave me was not the right number. It was a number for order you did on the internet. I want someone to respond to my email , as a customer I need to be treat it decent, they were not professional and they speak to you like if I owe them something. The shoes were only wore one. I do not want the money back, even a credit from the same store. Macys is a well known store and i never expected it to be treat it that way. I will take this further even if I have to call "Help me Howard to look into this. DO NOT buy furniture here and MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT buy a mattress. Go anywhere but here. While one sales associate was helpful in the furniture department, my overall experience with Macys has been a nightmare and the customer service in the mattress department is horrible. Their five star delivery is a joke and there's nothing special about the quality. In fact, I'd say the quality of my bedroom set (Tahoe Noir) and mattress is far below what I expected for the price. I purchased a two couches, a bedroom set, and a mattress. We had a lot of delivery problems but what has angered me the most is my experience with the mattress department. I went in and told the sales associate that I needed a mattress and a box spring because I knew the wooden slats on the bed I had purchased from Macys were not very strong and had broken for some people based on the reviews of the bed. However, the bed looks better with just a mattress and he persuaded us that we didn't need the box spring and that the bed would be just fine without it. He was wrong. The slats look and feel like they are about to break everytime we lay down and the mattress is not well supported. However, when I called back to purchase the box spring, the sales associate said I'd have to pay a $70 delivery fee even though it was his fault that we didn't get the box spring in the first place. He promised to have a manager call me and I separately left two messages for the manager, Clarence. It was five days before I got a response. Finally, five days later, the sales associate calls me back and puts me on with Clarence, only for Clarence to tell me that he can't waive the fee and I need to call customer service. Long story short. I spent a lot of time on the phone. The best customer service could offer was a $70 gift card. Keep in mind I had a lot of other problems that I told them about that I have not detailed here. I never received an apology from Clarence or the sales associate regarding the poor service and incorrect advice. And, hopefully its the lack of the box spring, but the mattress does not feel nearly as good as it felt in the store . read more

I recently had what I consider a unique shopping experience at Macys in the Aventura Mall... Especially in the ladies watch department where a salesperson "Elisa" helped me select a watch that I explained I was buying as a gift for a person that is very important to me ...I really wanted her to love her gift, but I also made my budget and overall price range very clear ....What I found really extraordinary was not once did "Elisa" pressure me or push me to spend any more than I was comfortable with....A rare quality & approach to find in any business these days... Rest assured, for that reason alone I will definately return there for more gifts in the near future and will make it a point to suggest to my friends and co-workers that they shop there as well (and ask for Elisa) ....I gave the gift and it was a "Huge Hit"....She Loved it!! One thing for sure is that without her advice, good taste, & guidance I would never have chosen the right watch because there is such a massive selection to choose from...
