I went to the Nordstrom store located in Aventura Mall. I was looking to find a dress for a formal event. In the past I had purchased dresses online from other retailers but this time I started my search here and I am so glad I did because I was assisted but very two very professional ladies. I started finding gorgeous dresses and Christine D. helped me to started my dressing room. The wide selection was excellent. I have forgotten the feeling of in-person shopping. Feeling encouraged and supported by them I was able to choose. I can't thanked enough for helping with the entire process and to find that special and perfect dress. Highly recommended ! read more

I went early Christmas shopping with my daughter at Nordstrom and we had a great time shopping for handbags and shoes. The store carries such beautiful items from many luxury brands. It was difficult to narrow down what we wanted because every thing was catching our eyes. Jessica helped my daughter pick out the Dolce & Gabbana Devotion handbag. She was very nice and patient. She went above and beyond to provide the best service in the handbag department. At the Christian Louboutin department, Aaron helped me with my decision to purchase the Louboutin Paloma crossbody bag and my daughter bought the pink Louboutin heels to match. Aaron was very helpful and did an excellent job with locating shoes to match. I love this store because it always has what we want. It is one of the bigger Nordstroms in the area with more to choose from. The store is well managed, very clean and well organized, and well lit. Everything sparkles. Parking is conveniently across from the store. The store's entry is on the first floor with wide doors. read more

I've been to Nordstrom, and the Aventura location, is one of my best stores. I purchased a Stella McCartney handbag and a Marc Jacobs handbag. It took me awhile to decide what I wanted, since I came in to purchase an MCM purse. But I didn't like the texture of the one I had my eyes on. But, I did like what I chose. Nordstrom has always been synonymous with quality. There used to be a Nordstrom in Providence, near our condo, but that one closed a few years back, so I was happy to see this one in Aventura Mall, a location not too far from me, that I could check out their clothing. I was looking for some casual jackets and they had a good selection of them...The thing I liked the most is that their choices covered a wide range of prices. I saw some just around $100 to over several hundred dollars. The price depended on the brand, fabric, style and cut, etc. The staff working here was a bit busy so they did not provide the traditional Nordstrom customer service that I have been used to in the past, but still, they all seemed very polite and ready to answer any questions anyone had. read more

Terrible terrible customer service at the Christian Louboutin section for men. Adrain S. gave me the wrong shoes and then tells me to come change them for them to close and tell me they no longer can change the shoes. Made me drive 30 min from my hotel for bullshit. I don't recommend this spot for anyone. Ruined a Christmas trip by just being ignorant. If it wasn't for the lying on the phone by a female associate I would've just dealt with it back home but now I'm pissed. You guys will be hearing from me I promise that. read more

First off, I've been a somewhat regular Nordstrom customer at this and other locations particularly for high-end fragrances so I have a frame of reference for the below-narrated experience. Second, I collect fragrances and have learned over the years that the only way to truly know if a fragrance is suitable for me is to wear it a couple of times to see how my skin's PH plays with it as I have a long list of otherwise remarkable fragrances that ended up becoming giveaways because the scent on the tester or even as initially applied to my skin morphed over time into something undesirable. So, I say about every six months or so I go check out what's new, try on paper, my skin, and if one triggers my interest I request a sample so I can then try it at home and if it works well I then go back and purchase the fragrance this is not an unreasonable thing to do as we're talking about dropping hundreds of dollars per fragrance. Now to my Monday, November 24, evening experience: I went to Nordtrom in Aventura having read about some fragrances by Tom Ford. So, after trying out a couple of TF's fragrances that I have never owned before I decided to consider one to add to my collection: Tuscan Leather but the attendant wouldn't even make an effort to locate a sample or prepare one and a second one who intruded into the conversation told me that samples were not given to them and they come out of their merchandise. I don't think a client needs to hear such bickering about how Tom Ford does business with Nordstrom and worse these attendants acted not as if they were working at a high-end establishment such as Nordstrom but more like a knock-off island counter in a tourist mall. While I cannot say what was in these individuals minds, I got a whiff of dismissiveness perhaps because I was admitedly dressed up like a brown-skinned hipster beach bum who perhaps, in their ill-trained eyes, was merely looking for freebies? Don't know in any event if that's a concern then Nordstrom should perhaps put in place a policy to sell the samples which I would have gladly purchase because it's better to spend $10 in something that didn't works as planned than the $440 that the actual bottle costs. Come on Nordstrom, train your staff better as your stores are in select locations and clients have choices such as Bloomingdales or Saks at this mall in particular. So, I turned around and did obtain the sample I wanted for a particular Tom Ford fragrance at a competitor and if it works out well guess what? These two raunchy attendants cost Nordstrom the sale and possible a long-term customer. Insane. read more

The approach to customer service at Nordstrom in Boca Raton makes this level of service that you receive at the Aventura location laughable. I'm an Icon member, so I do a ton of Nordstrom shopping, most of which is online because I have two little kiddos. I had to return a few items that I purchased online, one of which was a designer item. The associate handled my non-designer items with no question. The designer item was a different story. This one as complicated in that Nordstrom ended up sending me a completely different item than what I purchased. Honestly, I was questioning its authenticity because the quality was nothing like I've previously purchased from this designer. Prior to going into the store, I called Nordstrom.com customer service to let them know about this and they confirmed that I would have no trouble returning to the store. Once the supervisor (a middle aged man with glasses) arrived to handle the designer item return, he attempted to lie and say that I couldn't return online items to their store... what?! I told him that I just returned an item from online like 5 mins before - and that I've been returning online items to their store for years. Then he scoffed and proceeded to process my return with an attitude, like I was completely inconveniencing him for making him do his job. Ultimately, he located the listing for the item that Nordstrom.com accidentally sent me and processed my return, but I was annoyed by his blatant lying and terrible customer service. On a positive note, I just recently went to the Boca Nordstrom to return a couple of items, because I didn't want to deal with this terrible customer service again, and the associate processing my returns genuinely thanked me for returning my items to their store. Such a refreshing experience! Just go to Boca Town Center. Don't bother with this Nordstrom. read more

Today went extremely pleasant for me at Aventura, Nordstrom. There was such an incredible selection of clothes, specifically skim, which I have never seen in person before, and also the customer service was exceptional. Ana helped me with my fitting room not only but also offering me a size needed that wasn't on display. She was kind, approachable, and just overall an amazing person. They are taking all the necessary Covid precautions. Sanitizer and purrell were abundant. I took my teen here with her friends to look at the Brandy Melville clothing on the 2nd floor. The girls were able to find some items so they were happy. The floors are marked where to stand safely. The customer service was very good .I hope people start shopping so they stay in business! When I think of Nordstrom, first thing I think of is "good customer service ". And this is why I chose Nordstrom when I have to shop at a department store. However my image of Nordstrom has been downgraded and I no longer see the customer service I used to have. I had to go to Aventura location to shop for a small gift for a friend at Chanel beauty. No matching bag or tissue paper, just put it in a small nordy bag. I asked the sales rep if she has something smaller and match the product, then she found a small pillow box. I stopped bothering to ask for tissue paper. Already told her it's for a friend but she doesn't seem to care much. Not returning to this location for beauty items. read more

Have to personally thank Arielle F. In the Men's department at Aventura Mall for AMAZING customer service. After being over look by not one but TWO salesmen, Arielle welcomed us to the store with a warm smile, help us pick out a nice shirt and Ted Baker slacks to compliment the look. She was very patient from fitting room to obtaining the tailor for the final alterations. We were so please with her that we came back to her for an additional small purchase and her demeanor was the same. Thank you for not being judgmental and having great people skills. I am a die hard Nordstrom fan. I love their styles and their brands. I can pretty much always find something to buy here, which is probably not a good thing. Lol I like how they will ship anything you buy for free. Even if you buy it in the store. I bought a gift for my cousin who lives in New York and the kind associate had it shipped for me in the fragrance department. I also like their clothing selection. They have different clothes at different price levels which is great. I can buy less expensive clothes for work and splurge on a cocktail dress. I also love the personalized and HONEST feedback associates give. They tell me if something looks good on me or will suggest something more flattering. Of course, they say this in a professional manner. I love their perfume selection and how you can take home samples to try them out. They also have great brands of skincare. I am keeping this review at 5 stars despite a snippy blonde associate in the department right near the ladies bathroom. She has assisted me before but really just rang me up that other time. I remember her not being too friendly like most of the other associates. Well, today they had a dress that I was really interested in. They only had one size out on the floor. I wanted to try it on and I asked her if she could just open the fitting room for me quickly. We were right near the fitting room but she said no that she was assisting another customer. I saw she was but it would have taken her about 30 seconds to just enter the fitting room area right there and open it for me. The customer was looking at her phone and wasn't even paying attention being maybe 50 feet or so away. Long story short. I went to the Topshop section and a very nice associate assisted me. I loved the dress and bought it. So, Miss Snippy lost the sale and someone much more helpful earned it. One bad apple does not ruin the bushel. I still love you Nordstrom. read more

I will say I like this location the best out of all the ones in South Florida. There's something about Aventura Mall that makes everything smell and look better. I needed a cocktail dress and after feeling like I've outgrown my closer stores- I ventured off here. Surely enough I found the most suitable dress for what I needed. The lighting in the fitting rooms makes such a difference in how you can really see what the garment does for you and where it lacks. The attendant was very kind and immediately offered to get me another size or style if I needed and I appreciated that. I find the selection here much more varied which definitely comes in handy. You can't go wrong with Nordstrom and for cardholders the perks are definitely worth it. The shoes are awesome here and you'll find some eccentric items totally worth trying on. unhelpful and dismissive when waiting for assistance. when called about my Lagos bracelet being returned from repairs the first person said that they didn't have it and then I called back and the other person said that they indeed did have it. Not only that but when I reached out the the associate who took care of my repairs and told her that they couldn't find my bracelet she said once it has been shipped it was now out of her hands. Nordstrom is known for its customer service and the Aventura location did not disappoint. Yes, Nordstrom's is an upscale store. It has many upscale items but one can find reasonable items as well. Plus they do have many sales. It has been my go to place when I have need a true special occasion dress. In the past I have usually shopped at the Boca location. I was literally killing time when I stumbled upon a dress I just had to have for a special occasion. A gentleman brought me into a fitting room and when I needed help he was nowhere to be found! Very unNordstrom like! I got the attention of another salesperson who ended up taking care of me. Unfortunately, I do not recall her name but she was wonderful. She gave me her complete attention. She brought me everything I needed including undergarments, shoes, and the seamstress. I did not buy the dress that night but I put it on hold. My positive experience continued with Lauren, the Manager in the Individualist Department. I ended up buying the dress with Lauren. She shipped the dress to me. Since then, I have Lauren's cell phone number and Lauren has helped me buy several items via phone. It is like having my own personal shopper! I wish I could shop at Nordstrom's all the time! Still, when I need her shopping and superior service, it is great to know Nordstrom (and now Lauren!) is there for me! read more

I particularly like this Nordstrom because they have the best selection of women's shoes. I can always find something to buy, which might be a good or a bad thing. Haha if they don't have your size they will ship you the shoes at no delivery charge. Their makeup department is amazing and they have many high-end skin care lines that give generous gifts with purchase. It's great for parents with small kids because they give the kids balloons to keep them occupied. read more

Absolutely a clown show. Had a personal shopper appt, started over 30 min late. What the shopper pulled wasn't consistent at all with what had been written in the notes or via a phone call. We basically had to shop for ourselves. Finally we chose items and the alterations person came. We had to direct them- they did not provide any guidance and just took an order. Shouldn't the professional have input on where to tailor hems etc? Then the checkout took nearly an hour! Disorganized and confused, multiple calls to customer service to figure it out. Really we should have walked away after such a waste of time. The items were to be shipped after alterations. Imagine what happens next - no items shipped! Calling and calling and they can't find my order. What happened is the items were sitting in the store for nearly a week because they messed up and put them for in store pickup. Absolutely a disorganized mess with too many mistakes to list. Avoid if you value your time. read more

I had forgotten what it meant to have a knowledgeable sales person helping. She suggested some other brands that I hadn't originally considered, and which fit perfectly. I have been a Nordies girl for a very long time but this visit may have changed that. Being petite, I go straight to the petite department to look for the latest and greatest but where did it go? I walked around for a few minutes but nothing.... I finally approached an associate only to be told they have distributed the petite merchandise through the store with the designers. Very poor! I was so unhappy, I didn't even look in any other departments for shoes, accessories, product or anything else I could have purchased. Bloomingdale's did this many years ago and I have never returned. If I want to search for petites, I'll go to Marshall's (and certainly won't pay Nordstrom prices). When I commented to the associate that I didn't like this, she responded that I wasn't the first and this came from corporate. I probably won't bother checking another store. Does this leave Macy's as the only store with a "real" petite department? Sorry to turn this review into a rant (I really don't like writing negative reviews) but they have made a very poor decision in this case and may have lost a former Level 3 customer. Retail brick and mortar is in a difficult position.... keeping every customer should be your primary concern. read more

Although it is a lovely place to visit I never leave with anything. I think that the whole point is to purchase not to be a museum. I feel other than being "The place for shoes" they lack in all the other categories. Let's take this last visit for example we enter the store from the first floor from the mall and head towards the back right corner to the men's area. Instead of a warm greeting a gentleman that you would assume is a manager instructs another associate to assist us. It felt a little like being at a car lot. Although the salesmen quickly asserted my husbands suit size the choices were lackluster and limited. This is where we are told, did we look online and no this location prides itself on not having sales. What comes to mind is are we in the twilight zone! The whole point of dragging ourselves to a brick and mortar store is to physically touch and buy. I truly believe after this last visit it would take a remarkable "Event" to pass through their doors again. No wonder why I stopped carrying their credit card more than a decade ago. read more

Tried to return a Trunk Club shipment to Nordstrom, as I'm supposed to do. I went to this Nordstrom, and the person had no idea what I was talking about, and told me to return it to the Nordstrom Rack up the street, who promptly returned me to the Nordstrom, where I got it returned. What should have taken me 10 minutes took me an hour and a half. Just train people properly, so you're not wasting customers' time. I was on a mission to find some sports coats and jeans for my boyfriend and I was lucky enough to have the salesperson Lorenzo Manaigo assist me in the Men's Department. He was very attentive and knowledgeable about all the styles, brands and most importantly, the fit. He even took the prices into consideration. He showed pride in his work and very considerate. He was great at finding matching outfits that suited certain body types and skin tone. He even stayed with me past the 9:30pm closing time to make sure I got everything but he was never pushy, always polite. Lorenzo Manaigo is an asset to the Nordstom Men's Department. The sales teams in different depts also worked very well together and this helped with shipping experience. It was the annual anniversary sale though, and I didn't see as many sales/deals as I was hoping too. read more

I was able to experience it firsthand in the men's department at the Nordstrom in Aventura mall. Other than telling you this man knows his business backwards and forwards, he is a 30 year veteran and he clearly lives the Nordstrom legend. When you go to this men's department, ask for Paul. I have loved Nordstrom from the very first time I walked into the large department store in D.C. back in 1996. Thirteen years later and the love affair is still going strong (which is more than what I can say for some marriages - don't worry ladies, Nordstrom patches up the broken of hearts). Yup. Their customer service is that good. No wonder they are the subject of many a business school case study. I can honestly say I love every department in this store. Yes, shoe dept. comes first, can't hide my favoritism, closely followed by lingerie. ah! I can't say I have a preference between this store and the Merrick Park store, I do know I don't care for the Dadeland store - something about it's loneliness on the "other side" of the mall. I recently made a purchase at their lingerie dpt. and was taken care of very quickly. I had a couple of questions that were answered honestly and accurately. Also made a stop at the bathrooms, which, unlike at other dpt. stores, these are always clean, and they are spacious and comfortable even for the woman walking in with armloads of shopping bags and double-strollers. Nordstrom in Aventura Mall is located in a new wing of the mall, surrounded by other great designer stores, a must visit if you feel the need to leave Nordstrom behind and walk the mall. read more

This review is specifically for the Men's shoe dept at this Nordstrom. Went a couple of weeks ago because hubby needed new shoes and they had an awesome sale. A very nice gentleman by the name of Enold took care of us and he was extremely patient and very nice with each one of hubby's requests. He even brought out some different models of shoes so hubby could choose from. After a little bit of time, hubby came out with great shoes and satisfied with an EXCELLENT service. read more

Great store they honor coupons when Bloomingdales is having a sale for the same items. Staff is always friendly and the store is not every to crowded to shop. They have an amazing coffee shop , and a nice cafe up stairs. Plus they have the best shoe department ! read more
