Weird experience...stopped in at this location to grab some men's Armani cologne. The sales associate was helping another customer so I had waited for my turn, of course. There were no other customers. Once she finished with the other lady she walked around the counter and saw two other ladies walking up and immediately started helping them. I'm still standing at the counter in front of the Armani cologne....so I walked away to look at some other things in the store. 10mins later I came back to the men's cologne counter and she was behind the counter. I walked up to the Armani section again and she left from behind the counter AGAIN and walked away. Maybe she didn't see me, but that was the third time I was standing there waiting for her to help me??? I left to go buy my cologne somewhere else. read more

I've been going to Macy's once in a blue moon for the entirety of its existence in Greenbrier Mall. I have no idea why I haven't reviewed them until now. Better late than never. It was a Sunday early afternoon when they just opened. Hubby needed to find a suit jacket. They had a good inventory of suits and also a good sale going on for Ralph Lauren and Kenneth Cole. He opted for a black Ralph Lauren suit jacket 50% off. My 10 year old found some Michael Jordan sweatshirts for 25% so we purchased a couple. When we went to the register to pay, it was not showing up the 50% discount for the suit jacket so the very nice lady went to check downstairs. Sure enough, it was showing only a $.05 discount. They were very apologetic about this. Collectively, they all went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with everything. read more

Daddy daughter(s) date to shop for oldest's junior prom dress. We hit the motherload (daughterload?) here! #winner. Dedicated entrance/exit from the outside parking lot with plenty of spaces. Clean store with ceiling signage and name brand selections in lots of departments, though I initially couldn't find what we sought (juniors department, FYI). The employee we asked, and EVERY one thereafter, was super friendly and helpful. Love that you can also browse online with an option to check store selection and "pickup today." FYI - Dillard's doesn't have that option; could have saved us the disappointing trip ("online only" dresses). Back to Macy's...they had quite the selection of dresses in diverse styles, colors and sizes. Best of all, they had an entire markdown rack! #blessed In 15 minutes, my daughter lugged 9 to the dressing room, conveniently located steps away. While waiting, I appreciated the couches almost as much as the above and beyond service from ROXANNA. She stayed 40 minutes after her shift to make sure we were ok. Best of all, while chatting, she informed me of a "30% OFF Friends and Family" pre-buy promo. Without sharing that info with her, my daughter said yes to the (jr prom) dress here. I was STOKED to pay $54 for a $130 dress. Only "knock" was I had to physically return to the store the next day for pickup, which was a breeze but increased the odds of spending more money, which we did. 4 shirts for my younger daughter - $12 total! #penance Thanks Macy's and THANK YOU Roxanna! read more

Let me start off by saying Macys is still Macy's, if you're wondering what do I mean by that!. Even with the decline in sales due to COVID-19 the experience hasn't changed at all, they still have a good amount of inventory to pick from and if you don't find what you're looking for you can go on line and purchase that way as well. With that being said is the reason I went to the store, because I ordered two pair of Levi's jeans and I ordered the wrong size ( you would think we should all know what size we wear, well was I wrong)!!. Their shoe selection was disappointing to say the least. The store had just opened and there were shoes and miscellaneous items in disarray. Sloppy shelves and open/closed boxes of shoes displayed. Macy's Online As a previously loyal Macy's Platinum cardholder I moved to the East Coast from CA a year ago and have not been able to use my Macy's card online since the move. The first time I tried to order bedspreads online my card was reported stolen. I was able to go to the store an hour away and purchase the bedspreads so I had no Idea why I could not get the items on line?? I called Macy's and got "offshore agents" who called themselves Joe and Bob and Mary but had to hang up 3 times before I got a Bob that I could understand. Unfortunately "Bob" told me my card had been "lost"?? No I told him I had it in my hand and had not been lost!! He said He'd send a new card in 3 (three) weeks. WOW some service!! Finally got the card with exactly the same number on it!!!!! Thought I try to use it for Christmas presents anyway. It again did not work and I called again. This time after several calls, "Mary" told me the card was again reported as "lost". A third card was issued within 3-4 weeks, with a new number so I tried to use it and still was not able as it stated on the order that the card was not valid. At this time I have not been able to use my card online for over a year! I tried the corporate numbers in Ohio and NY and IL but they all transfer to the "offshore" people who seem to have the same answer - We will send you a new card in 3 weeks. It appears there is no way to contact anyone who has the actual authority to correct the issue that is happening with this card! Macy's has hired cheap labor to answer calls that make it impossible to get a real solution to a problem and that is probably one reason that Macy's is struggling to be profitable. How many others are unable to resolve issues because Corporate is out of touch? read more

Oh, Macy's. I love walking through your store to shop for clothes but when it comes to your bathrooms... yeah, not so much. I was reminded of the scene in Family Guy where Brian and Stewie switched their universes and Stewie was the dog that pooped on the street. A cop forced Brian to pick up the poop and Stewie offered Brian a thin napkin. Thin napkins or toilet paper are rough to begin with and then you feel like you're killing trees. Everyone that knows me knows that I am a Macy's girl. Growing up I went to the Macy's day parade. It's sad to see so many of them closing. This location is has its plus and minuses, like any other store. They don't have a Chanel counter but they have MAC so it equals out. This is by far the saddest Macys I've ever been in. I prefer the Macys at Lynnhaven, but they didn't have the Spanx I wanted in stock there. I walked all around the store and not one associate greeted me. Then again, it was a skeleton crew. Maybe if they had more associates on the floor, my experience would've been different. Trying to use coupons here is such a hassle since they have all these stipulations I'm never able to purchase what I really want because it's excluded. Then on top of that I purchased a bunch of items for my nephew and brother and I also purchased an expensive purse but when I was walking out of the store I noticed the lady didn't take the security tag off of my bag, so I went back to the junior dept. which is where I paid for it but the cashier who checked me out was gone because the store was about to close. So I walked around looking for her and couldn't find anyone. I went to the register in the men's dept. which is the first thing you see upon entering Macy's. I asked the cashier to take the tag off, now I never left the store. She said she would and then took my bag with all my items, she looks at the bag and says I need your receipt. So I look for my receipt and I didn't have one in my bag. As I reach for my belongings so I can go find the lady who checked me out for a receipt, this woman grabs my bag from me and holds my items hostage saying she's not giving it back because I have no receipt!!! I was livid! I tried to grab my bag away from her and we were literally in a tug of war until a manager came over and and asked for my receipt and I informed her of who checked me out and how I didn't get a receipt and she gave me my items back after a long discussion trying to see if I stole it!! Long story short, I had a return which I wanted an exchange, but the store didn't have the item, so they gave me a gift card. Couldn't find it online for the price I paid(I paid 94.00 and it was 275.00 now, it was luggage I received damaged, it had a huge crack on the back) so I called the luggage department to see what could be done, if anything. The lady who I talked to was incredibly rude. I thanked her at the end of our call for absolutely nothing and her response was in a tone of 'oh yeah totally, screw you' tone when she said "oh you're most certainly welcome." I think I now understand why stores are hurting for business. My wife and I were shopping for our daughter's school clothes and there was no one to help out and hardly any available clothes in my daughter's size! Then when checking out, two shirt's did not have a tag and the cashier made my wife go find another shirt so she could scan it, twice! Additionally, my wife was exchanging some shirts to get a different size and was told there was no price difference, however once checked out, a look at the receipt showed different! I ordered a piece of LeVian jewelry on line. While it took a couple weeks to finally get to me I was not happy with the piece of jewelry and wanted to return it. So I call the return merchandise number on the sales receipt and all it's doing is telling me that due to the current situation that there is no one available to help me with a return. It also suggested that I could try the easy return on line... It will not allow me to print out a return label on line either and keeps returning me to the same point EVERY TIME I've tried. If there is no one to answer the phone for a return and no way to do it on line how do you send a high price item back since there's no service what-so-ever available and no stores open. Ok, how is this place still operational? Employees not friendly ( employees in women's wear) and not much of a selection as far as brands. I'm visiting from out of town and needed to find a blouse under a suit jacket or a dress and their brand selection is laughable. It almost looked like a step back into the 80s!
