I really hope I am spelling her name correctly, but the store manager Gita (Ghita), truly helped me during a inconvenience this evening. I attempted to exchange a dress that I bought my aunt for Mothers Day. When I found the correct size, I was checked out by an associate that was not helpful. She stated that I had to have the same method of payment for my exchange, the receipt and she could not look up my purchase. I informed her that previously, associates were able to assist. Slightly frustrated, I proceeded to pay for the other dress and hopes that I would find the receipt when I got home. On my way out of the store Ghita in a high spirited voice stated, "thank you for coming, I hope you have a great night". Something told me to ask for assistance and as I stated, she was able to find my purchased and refunded me with a gift card. The smallest interaction can really make for a different outcome if you just attempt to dig a little deeper, or go the extra mile sometimes. The previous associate didn't ask for manager, co worker or anything to confirm, but gladly took my method of payment. Ghita, just know. Shoppers like me, truly appreciate great customer service when everyone is choosing to shop online and have less interaction with people/human beings due to the potential lack of customer service. 10/10 Definitely recommend read more

My granddaughter (who is also my very best friend) and I visited Macys (at Deerbrook Mall in Humble Tx) looking for deals on summer sandals. OOOOOO MY GOODNESS....our sales associate was Donna. We haven't felt this special and pampered in a long time. Thank you so so much Donna. Her smile, attention to detail, knowledge of the different brands and friendliness was captivating. The personal shopper at the Kingwood location sold me a bed, she said my discounted price would show up on my bill since I opened my account. My purchase was a thousand dollars, I called customer service in credit department and they differed in what she said. On top of it I left several messages for her on cell and her extension, she's failed to return my call. I like Macy's in general... However, at this location the Men's department makes no sense! Couldn't find a thing with absolutely no sales people to help!! So stopped at the men's fragrance department and found Shirley...what a gem! She helped me look for the item and when she couldn't find it, she suggested that we order it, which we did...it arrived a few days later I know retail is not what it once was, but please, retailers hire more people and clean and organize the store Shirley, thank you again for going above and beyond! read more

Good news: a mall only 10 minutes from the airport when you have a 6 hour layover. Bad news: your checked luggage which lugging around the mall will make you look stupid. Solution? Stop by a Macy's customer service desk, talk to a very courteous girl named Georgianna, who put my giant checked piece in the back store room while I roamed the mall for a few hours. ON last Friday 11/5 I was shopping and I decided to stop by Starbucks for a pick me up and the young man name Patrick he was so outstanding and great customer service. While this location is not my favorite Macy's, I do find that it serves its purpose. In general, Macy's is my department store of choice. They always offer great merchandise at fair prices. They always seem to be running a sale or coupon offer. This location may not have quite the selection as say the Woodlands location, but it does offer enough to get the job done when needed in a pinch. There is ample parking available which is not always the case at other locations in the city. I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. I have not encountered an employee that was rude. They can be hard to find at times but I think they may be just short on staff. I never have any issue in finding what I need as the store is clean and well organized. I appreciate having a Macy's that is close to home. read more

The Deerbrook Mall has all the right stores, but with all the wrong inventory. I was happy to have a Macy's so close to my apartment. Macy's has been my go-to for years for last minute outfits. The store offers a great selection of low-end to mid-range brands at affordable prices. I was so happy to learn that this store even carried Karen Kane and Ralph Lauren. When I went in, however, I was so disappointed. What can I say other than the clothing section leaves so much to be desired? They are usually a season behind, and their offerings cater to an "older" crowd. As a young woman, it's hard to find something modern and fashionable to wear. Their other sections are okay, but I always get the sense that a tornado has blown thru the store. This Macy's is always messy, and the sales people working the clothing departments are often less than enthused. The make-up section is the only saving grace. Go by the Origins counter and talk to the sales girls - friendly and helpful! They'll even give you free samples to take home and test the products. read more

Had a funeral to attend, so needed to purchase a suit. Went to Macy's men's suit department at this store. More than 15 minutes looking around and no one asked if I needed assistance. Finally my patience was exhausted and I asked the older lady in the department for assistance. She told me that she did not know anything about men's suits. WOW, not sure why she was there if that was the case. Then asked for the manager. She reluctantly called him and upon his arrival I understood why things were the way they are at this store. The guy simply did not look the part. His shirt was not tucked in and appeared dirty. He then started to make excuses for the lack of service and knowledge regarding products in his store. (Not something I expected at Macy's) After much discussion, I decided to take my business to Macy's in Woodlands and my experience was totally the opposite. The staff was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. What a difference; As much as I hate the drive I will make it to get good service. It's sort of true what they say. Once you've been to one Macy's, you've been to all Macy's. It's very quiet and calm at this location. The employees are always helpful and willing to assist me with whatever I need. I usually go here to buy my brother clothes for school and theres always a lot of choices to pick from for him. This old store has seen better days, IMHO. Sure they have made updates but it really is frowzy around the edges. I also get the feeling that they just stuff things in there until they can't stuff more in and then expect us to weed through the really awful things to find something that we might like. I am not fond of their buyer's selections, that is for sure. Nor am I particularly fond of the service. It's more or less help yourself or search for some assistance if you need it. if i could it would be 0 stars!! I was buying some cologne from a woman named SHAUNA DAVIS i believe, didn't quite hear her correctly. while i was paying i accidentally pulled out my card and she said to put it back in and the transaction completed, after that she says it didn't work and that she had to do it again so I do it again believing her, but it didn't feel right so i checked my bank statement online and as i thought i got charged twice. and usually when that happens they do something to put the money back on the card and i ask her about it and she says she "VOIDED" the transaction. and i asked her how long it usually takes? and she said it should be back immediately. and i said okay thank you. and i walked around the mall for a minute and checked again still no refund. so i came back to her and asked her if there was a manager i could speak to, then she comes from behind the desk and come up to me and asked me what i'm trying to accomplish here. As i'm keeping a calm and respectful attitude, she speaking to me as if im not a customer. so i start getting a little fired up. and we start bumping heads. so she gets another employee to come assist me and she told me she would just get a manager, (which is what every customer should do if they can't fix the problem.) but the manager never comes instead a younger employee and i show her the statement where i was charged twice. and even she said "oh wow". so i eventually leave cause i have to go to work and now half of the money i was using for christmas gifts for my family is gone. Then i go back to get the employees name and then as i'm walking away again she tells me "yea" "get to stepping". that is just unacceptable from a employee to a customer. read more
