I went to this Macy's a few days ago to buy some clothes. I could not find the specific item in the style, color, and size that I wanted on the shelves. Unfortunately, I could not find any employees who were available to help me in that section of the store. I found an employee named Madhu in a different part of Macy's. She came over and found some of what I needed on the shelves. Then she spent about twenty additional minutes to find the rest of what I wanted at various locations in the back of the store. The worst dressing roomsand bathrooms and the escalators are frequently out of service!!

located in the King of Prussia mall, a shopping area best described as 'I am mall hear me roar" this should be a regional flag ship instead it is cramped poorly laid out and claustrophobic. Set in the 'court' at KoP mall is it is the easier part of the mall to navigate, but it is still awkward to get to, let's just start with parking at KoP. which can be rough the Macy's has a premiant position but it is in a space not built for it, but rather they moved into the space. This leads to a lay out that is somewhat confusing and hard to navigate made only worse by the fact the ceiling seems to be rather lower than other department stores in the mall or even other Macy's I've been to. All of which creates a space that is at best claustrophobic and not pleasant to linger in. Great if you want to go in and know what you're getting but pretty poor to just browse. I much prefer the Macy's nearer to me in Montgomeryville for being far more pleasant to walk around in, something my wife will attest to having inflicted on her. The ONLY thing in KoP's favor is in men's suits and jackets they do run to about size 48 which is hard to find in Montgomeryville, but that is the only thing stopping this from being a 2 star review. read more

Tuesday, around noon. Overall, workers not too friendly. Not aggressively accosted in the perfume section when we tried out a few scents (maybe a good thing). Young guy worker just kind of standoffish. Purse section. Workers around but no approaches. Elder blonde lady at register in Coach section saw us and then just disappeared to the backroom. Michael Kors section, elder brunette approached one elder couple, asked can I help you with something? Nothing to us. Maybe part time seasonal hires? Store surprisingly unbusy. Maybe this store too will be slated for closure soon enough? read more

This Macy's location has gone down in quality and variety. Not the best I've been to, which is interesting because in past times this store was once bustling. I am not sure if it's because Macy's everywhere are gradually shuttering. But I was disappointed in the lack of selections in various departments. I don't shop at department store often--somehow it's just not my thing; I don't like its layout. I like shopping at individual stores such as Gap, Old Navy and etc. Yet once in a while, I will go to Macy's to check out their clearance clothings. When it's clearance, you can guarantee to find good deals of their store brands. I also like walking around. The sensation of wandering in a department store is nice and irreplaceable. Too bad that most department stores are dying. read more

The Macy's at Christiana Mall had been steadily going downhill for a while so I had stopped going years ago. This one has given me that old Macy's feeling back. The store is neat, bright and easy to maneuver through. The jewelry selection where I spent most of my time browsing the cases was beautiful and the sale prices were amazing. First off, good luck finding someone to wait on you. I have had a problem with one of their store managers who also is a stock person. His name is Thomas and clearly he is not about customer satisfaction or service or even apologizing to a customer politely. I was in the store three weeks ago when I wanted to purchase sheets that were marked down on the first floor corner area of items. When I took it to the register, an older woman by the name of Beverly said that it was not ringing up properly... It was ringing up as more money than what was on the price tag. She had to call "a manager "happened to be Thomas who is dressed as a stock person, and while he may be in charge, he is definitely not a manager yet alone manager material. He said it was priced incorrectly, and he would not sell it at the price it was marked. I have never run into an experience like this at any store yet alone what is supposed to be or perhaps what used to be a more upscale store in the very upscale King of Prussia Mall. Said, somebody marked it by mistake why was that my problem? If it was a customer who did this then why didn't they purchase it? I have been a customer of this store for about 30 years and never been treated this way. Perhaps that's why Macys is not doing as well. I didn't feel like arguing and had been waiting for this so-called manager to appear for about 20 minutes. He was busy putting Stock away in the stockroom. Today I came into the store to return a necklace new inbox with receipt that I had ordered online. It was a Father's Day gift that I had purchased for my nieces to give to my brother as a Father's Day present. It was regularly $170 and I purchased it for $41. That is the receipt that I had along with the barcode of my credit card and I had my ID with me. Again over this guy Thomas and he says nope it's been over 30 days. Can't return it. I'm not asking for $170. I'm asking for a $40 credit on my Macys Credit Card Apparently there are no other so-called managers on duty and the Jewelry manager could not be reached. There's absolutely no reason that this should not be returned to maintain customer satisfaction. Thomas said nope and walked away. No apology or thank you for being a loyal customer. Good selection of some deeply discounted fashionable items in extended sizes. Great for building a wardrobe. But the customer service is deplorable. They are chronically understaffed and will sit with a long / complex transaction while the line builds (I abandoned an order after waiting nearly 20 minutes for the single clerk to help a customer open a credit card. Glad he got helped but wishing the clerk was more attentive to signal for help and clear the massive queue that was forming). read more

Edit Description of complaint: I ordered two pairs of boots through macys.com on august 29. They first sent me someone else's boots, which I returned and received a replacement. When I received the correct pairs of boots, I tried them on and they did not fit. I returned both pairs via UPS store, received confirmation of return on September 2, and was told my refund would be issued to my credit care in 7-10 business days. I have had to contact macys at a minimum of 4 times to get this resolved and have yet to receive my refund. Every time I got a different story and was told 7-10 business day. Now today after calling 4 times, I was told the refund was issued October 12, and should see it refund reflected in my bank statement in 7-14 BUSINESS days! Which means hopefully by November 4! This is absolutely ridiculous for a business to hold your money for over 60 days. They don't offer a reason, or offer anything for my inconvenience. I never step foot in macys again. I will encourage everyone I know to shop elsewhere, and will leave this review on every site I can. Macys is horrendous, and should go out of business. read more

Before the pandemic, this Macy's was decent - it had good signs and easy to locate merchandise. I'm not really sure who decided to alter the layout but it's very hard to find anything on the main level of this store. The items are messily placed and it doesn't appear that cleanliness is a high priority. Moreover, the customer service is horrendous here. If you are lucky enough to find a register open, you will likely wait an average of ten or fifteen minutes. If you are very lucky, you will be told to follow someone else to a register only for them to forget to serve you and get angry you tell them what their coworker told them to do. Most employees at this location are rather rude and honestly go to another Macy's location if you can. read more

This location is pretty big, being connected to KOP mall, and you can quickly tell that some parts of the store are more updated than others. It seems that they're working on some renovations to rearrange some of their departments. it looks like they used to have a backstage area, but cleared it out to make room for furniture, as one staff member informed us. On that note, the staff there were very friendly and helpful. When we asked about the backstage area, one staff member helped us to find what we were looking for, pointing us in the direction to go. We also asked about furniture, which is when he told us that it would be coming in a few months. The store itself looks dated, but the friendly staff help make up for that! read more

HUGE Macy's store at the King of Prussia Mall. A stand alone store that connects via pathway to the mall. It's 3 stories of shopping paradise. They even have a clearance outlet on their bottom floor. I didn't encounter any employees while I was wandering through, but the store was transitioning from fall to winter and the heat was on and blazing inside - thankfully since it was miserably cold outside. Unfortunately that makes it uncomfortable when you're wearing all your outside layers inside. *chuckles* There was a lot of sales going on, a lot of LOOK AT ME kind of signage to grab your attention, and that's what its for. I however was a woman on a mission and didn't have time (or the luggage space) so I didn't have a chance to shop. read more

THIS MACY'S IS THE WORST!!! So slow. No customer service. Actually, rude customer service. Longest lines ever. Just spent 45 minutes in three different lines that barely moved and then no one even knew how to do an even exchange. I'm sorry but, morons!!! I can't. I don't often go to the mall but I wanted to buy some flatware for a Christmas present and Macy's seemed like a good option. Found the cooking section as I entered which seemed promising, but no flatware and I didn't see anything nearby. Wandered around for 5 minutes until I found a sales associate. She spoke next to zero English. I asked her where the flatware was and she looked blank. Table settings? Knives forks and spoons? Ah, knives, she pointed me to the cutlery. The other customer next to me was trying too, but she just did not understand. No other sales associate in sight and I did not feel like searching the entire store, which is huge. We went to Macy's KOP for a queen sleeper sofa. The Alaina model is made in North America and has a unique design that is more comfortable, durable and easier to use than the typical sleeper sofa. Plus the poly fabric is very durable and easy to clean. We learned all this from sales rep Walter Tinney who was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and customer service focused. We also found a pair of chairs to go with the sofa but they turned out to be discontinued. Fortunately, Walter managed to track them down from stores from which we could pick them up. He spent several hours with us and remained helpful and patient throughout. He's an excellent advisor who listened carefully and helped us make sound decisions. read more

I bought a stuffed animal from macys. Says $20. No problem. I go to pick it up and the tag says $11.98. I ask for a price match, they say nope and I was told to call customer service. I walk downstairs and every animal on the shelf says $11.98. I spend 15 minutes on the phone with customer service who tells me to take it back to the store and return it and then rebuy it for $11.98. I'm still fighting with them. 20 minutes and counting. She can't do a price match, but they can at the store. Really. It's the principle now #macyssucks Macy's do better!!!! read more

This is my second mattress purchase with Walter's assistance, and both times he was able to answer all my questions and make helpful suggestions. He is extremely knowledgeable about all the products, the prices, and the best time to purchase when items are on sale. Ask him a question, and of course he knows the answers. I really wanted to write this review as a shout-out to Walter Tinney. If you are even remotely thinking about buying a mattress from Macy's, go and see Walter! I had come in to look at the mattress advertised for $249 (which it turned out is not on display in their store. Closest location is Exton) but Walter did show me 2 other mattresses in my price range. Not only did he not pressure me, he willingly offered tons of information like when the next sales would be (and that many of the floor samples are going on sale soon if you need queen or twin) and made me feel like a valued customer! He even wrote down the name of the mattress in the other store as well as another that I sort of liked as well as the prices of them. He really made sure that I knew all my options as well as the best times to purchase them; seriously, go see him if you are looking to buy! read more

Was there on Black Friday and though I know that is the busiest day of the year and that all businesses are short staffed, I had perhaps the RUDEST cashier EVER in my over 50 years of shopping. It takes a lot for me to not go overboard to compliment people and I never criticize, but Rebecca at the Macy's in KOP has to be called out for being disrespectful and rude to the customers shopping on Friday (she's probably like that every day). I tried very hard to be overly kind, because the store was busy and I know that every one was overworked... but there is no excuse for being downright NASTY. Macy's, this lady needs to be assigned to some other position where she does not work with humans. Also if there is more than one Rebecca in your store, this one has a wool allergy, I know because she screamed at me to check the tags inside the pants I bought before she would touch them!! read more

I like Macy's as I can always seem to find good deals. We've purchased clothing, watches, towels, perfumes/colognes, and kitchen ware items from here. Displays are usually well stocked and relatively organized. My wife usually doesn't have much luck in finding shoes or clothes for herself. Finding people to help can sometimes be a challenge and some parts of the store is starting to show its age. Men's room on the second floor back in the men's department is usually clean. Being at the King of Prussia mall, this store tends to be crowded. read more

I've been a loyal Macy's shopper for many years. This location is really run down. Being in such a large mall you'd figure they'd keep the store current like the rest of the mall. The selection here is poor for the size of store. The juniors dressy section was nonexistent. Carpet is dingy. I think the franchise has gone downhill in general since it absorbed Foley's years ago. I understand why so many locations have been closing. The Cherry Hill Mall location is much nicer plus there's an Urban Decay store in cosmetics. I think even the Lehigh Valley Mall store is better. This Macy's is located next to the outdoor path connecting The Court and The Plaza in the King of Prussia Mall. I usually do not shop at Macy's, but I was impressed with this Macy's. It was a very large and clean store, had many different sections of products and was steadily busy as well. The reason why I do not shop at Macy's as much is it can get pricey but you can find good deals once in a while. Atrocious experience in the mattress department at this particular Macy's. Received a mattress and no box spring. Called to have the issue resolved. No one answers the phone, ever. Finally spoke with Harvey who was supposed to resolve this issue for me. After endless phone calls and attempts to reach Harvey, I realized he was screening my calls and would no longer try to resolve this issue for me. Very unprofessional. I had to call from a different number for him to answer (and magically he did). I was told I would receive a follow up email regarding the box spring - have yet to receive the email. Unfortunately, most of the employees here are uneducated in customer service and severely lack basic communication skills. I will never purchase through this store again. read more

Since we ordered the couch it has been a horrible experience. There's been no communication. When we tried to communicate and reach out to them it was unable to reach anyone. Truly I've been frustrated the entire process. Then they delivered more couch than we had asked them to order we had asked for five pieces and they delivered six. And apparently they charged us for six... This is a big deal when a customer is expecting some thing and get the wrong amount it matters. So I tried to get a hold of customer service because I couldn't get anyone in the store again... they were very bad at helping customers and didn't listen to my needs whatsoever. I couldn't get any help from customer service when I called a week later because no manager called me back like I requested a week ago. So customer service wouldn't help me and I was really frustrated. I called the store in a desperate plea to try to get a manager to talk to me... I deal with the annoying automated system and I finally got a person on the phone. His name is Harvey. Harvey went above and beyond. He was a good listener he showed confidence and made me feel better as a customer. I was incredibly angry when I called and I feel like I finally have someone who's willing to help me. I really would like to take this time to say how much I appreciate Harvey's help. He went out of his way and I feel like I am finally in good hands. I felt it was important to recognize when someone is doing a good job. Thank you Harvey if you see this. I hope upper management sees this because Harvey should be recognized for being an excellent employee. read more

I used to like this Macy's until recently. I was in here last night buying jeans, and none of the dressing room doors have locks, This would be fine, if they had a fitting room attendant to help their customers find fitting rooms. They don't... so I had the pleasure of having other customers burst into my fitting room on three separate occasions, while Im in various stages of undress. Not cool at all. On top of that, since no one monitors the fitting room, there are piles of clothes no one wanted, all over the place.... just a MESS! The Macy's at Springfield Mall is the same way. Worst of all, when I got home, I found out that the idiot cashier who waited on me left the ink sensor on my jeans, so now I have to go all the way back there to have it removed. read more

Macy's in KOP is one of the largest I've ever been to. It is connected to the mall as well has its own entrance from the upper deck parking level. Somehow, I always find the selection here good, they have many brands and their display is good. Women's clothing which is on the 3rd level had many brands and they have multiple fitting rooms to try. Staff here is helpful and knowledgeable. Always went to look for handbags and they had an amazing selection. Several of them were had sales going on. Occasionally with a Macy's coupon is mail, one gets additional discounts too. Their lower level has a wide selection of mattresses. They have so many brands like Sealy, Serta, Stearns & Foster. Ken, one of their staff members here was so knowledgeable about the various brands and features, he spent so mauch time explaining and comparing the different ones. Overall the shopping experience here turned out to be long because of the size of this tore but it was satisfactory in the end. read more

Blinding example of Glory Days Gone By!, I go in to make a return for the Gucci Bloom because my husband did not like it ! I am told by a gentleman named Michael in the upper-level fragrance area that I must have the box that it came in... Granted this was a gift and was shipped to my job, box gone. I did not appreciate the way he wanted me to go to "return center" he tried to refuse my return!! and when I realize he was getting out of hand, I said "look dude" and he says don't call me dude!! @_@ then he says: "I could call you some names right now but I'm not going to!".. I said oh my God!, What names.. preytel as my nerves went ballistic. I realize I'm on surveillance there's no reason for me to choke him out... Just find another manager which I did and they promptly returned my refund in full I did not appreciate the way I was treated and Michael has some things to learn about professionalism and integrity and his moral standard gauge is broken as his spirit! #blm read more

Not the best and not the worst Macy's I've ever been to. It's small compared to what I'm used to, but the store is packed with merchandise. The older gentleman that works in the men's suit department is a real sweetheart. Their sale prices are PHENOMINAL too. Hit or miss all in all, though. read more

Oh man! I loooove this place! Biggest macys I've ever been to. Well, not THE biggest, but it's still pretty awesome. They have everything and its wonderful!! So organized and the people are friendly. The shoe department rocks! There are so many cute shoes!!! And the shoe sale is heavenly! Sometimes up to 80% off... That's dirt cheap for what you would be paying a lot more at Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus. Although.... Their shoe sales are pretty good too... In the basement, they have a great mattress section. The guy working there knows everything about mattresses and the sheets and comforters. He's really helpful. Then, there is the lingerie section - so much pajamas, panties and bras! I feel like the Indian ladies are a bit too attentive at times but they're nice. Then there's the fitness and swimsuit or coat section, depending on the season. I will admit, the fitness clothes variety is lacking but sometimes they have too many choices for the coats and swimwear. Then there's the teen section, children section, luggage section, oriental rug section, small appliances, and silverware and plates.... Damn, this is getting sad... I do have a life... Anyway, I'm just saying they have a lot to choose from... And that was just the basement... This Macy's is 3 floors tall! I don't think there is anything I would complain about either... Update: June 14 Their men's section is huge! So much clothing for the guys, I'm kind of jealous... I got my dad doe shirts, pools, and shorts.... I wish shopping was aways that easy. read more

This is the second time I have purchased an entire set of furniture from KENNETH at Macy's! He's literally the sweetest and most helpful person ever. Patient, kind; and the most helpful. We got lucky to have gotten our furniture during sales times and he also was able to ask his manager to give us bigger deals on top of those offers. KENNETH IS THE BEST! This Macy's in the King of Prussia Mall, has the ability to swallow you whole and you could be lost for days. Good things it's always clean and pretty organized every time I go. Of course there are the occasional annoying people at the perfume counters jumping out of bushes and hanging from the ceilings trying to spray you with every possible scent they can find. Sometimes it's like they're priests trying to perform an exorcism on my damned soul as I try to shop or something... I think one time I checked in on Yelp! and received a savings pass which was a nice surprise. read more
