We went there with a friend yesterday afternoon; the place was well-organized and had a good variety of items at reasonable prices, but the downside is that the staff needs better training. I wanted to try on a pair of pants and told the sales clerk so, but we were kept waiting for over half an hour and no one ever came to unlock the stupid fitting room door. When I was leaving, I mentioned it to the guy at the checkout counter; far from helping, he just said he had tried--as if we'd asked him to crack a safe. I've was a return customer for years, they took care of me until recently. The Doctor apparently can decide at will how long your prescription is valid, "based on your relationship with the doctor" and because my last exam was 2 years old they wouldn't sell me glasses. However, I've heard them telling other customers, to include myself in the past, they can use your existing prescription for up to 5 years. A nice anchor store in Melbourne Square mall This is one of the Melbourne Square mall's anchor stores located on the East end of the mall. It is a single-story building with 3 external entrances and one mall entrance. Like most major department stores it has several departments surrounding the makeup and jewelry department section in the center of the store. Various departments include men's, women's, children's, bedding, bath, shoes, etc. The floors are white marble and sections have carpeting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were looking for jewelry on this particular visit. The prices are a bit high but the quality is good and the staff was extremely nice about helping us look through the various options. We ended up buying some makeup and using a gift card that we had found years ago. It still had money on it so make sure you don't just discard them if you find one. The overall condition of the store was clean but the design was dated but is understandable due to opening in 2003. The store was open an hour before the mall so we visited this store and then continued our shopping adventure into the mall. Overall, it was a very pleasant visit thanks to the staff that helped us look for jewelry and makeup. read more

Typical Macy's, they have lots of lots of inventory. The only main issue is how old this location is. It feels as if they need to update this location very bad. The paint has all turned yellow. Macy's offers coupons however their coupons have lots of exclusions. Sometimes they let you combine a coupon with sale items. Which is great! We went to the makeup counter today. They have quite a large selection of cosmetics brands to choose from. We walked up to the Estee Lauder counter and the lady seemed surprised that we were so young and almost seemed to ignore us at first. Once she took noticed that we did want to buy, she was very nice. We brought in an old empty bottle of foundation with us. The lady looked at the color, knew it was an old color and gave us the correct new matching color right away. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. The store is filthy, mold everywhere, bathrooms that look like a bad 1970's horror film, and the selection of men's underwear, ties, and other items is really low-end. They did a cheesy remodel in 2005 that removed any semblance of character this store had, yet refused to fix the leaky roof or air conditioning system. Go to the store in Merritt Square if you must shop in Brevard County....to do any real shopping, you will need to go to Orlando. One positive note, is that I have to say that the staff is spectacular here. read more

First, we asked two workers where the men's section was. They both hesitated then one said "over to the right" & the other agreed with her. Spoiler alert, reader, it was not to the right. After looping around & finally finding what we needed, we saw a register with only one man in line. Got in line behind him & he seemed to be giving the woman at the register information, which I was like, that's fine, I can wait a minute... TWELVE MINUTES LATER, the woman at the register finishes signing him up for his store card or whatever & walks away. She didn't even acknowledge us or say, "There's another register open over there" etc. At that point I was ready to walk out but I saw another register with two women working at it. Walked up & they were talking & checked me out without saying a word to me.. everyone here sucks at their job & seems to really be annoyed that they had to help me. The staff here went above and beyond. After visiting several local jewelry stores looking for the perfect Christmas / Birthday gift (her bday is the 21st) I stumbled into Macy's. I was honestly in here for something else but saw the jewelery counter and had a look. Doug helped me pick out the perfect piece, he suggested it even. The other stores all seemed like order takers and didn't suggest anything. Just kinda pointed to different necklaces. Doug went above and beyond. I had a minor concern after the fact. I came back and saw Brandon and he easily and quickly put my concerns at ease. Brandon and Doug are a huge asset to this Macy's and I will definitely be seeing them first for any other jewelery needs. Best of all, I got a beautiful perfect piece for my special lady, and it was at a GREAT deal. Thanks again guys! read more

First: this is a small town Macy's so don't expect big city selections. But to us here It is worth having the brick and mortar store. I live in a beachside town where this is our closest Macy's. It's on the mainland so I have to commit to some time when heading to this store. Yes, there are a lot of negative reviews but my theory is you get what you give. If you are nice you will be treaty likewise. Their return policy has changed. Go online and print out a form and mailing label and send stuff back. Otherwise they do it in the store the same way! Don't Shop at Macy's anymore!! Macy's does not stand by the products they sell anymore. Now they will only exchange or refund items that are in sellable condition. So if your product you buy and pay good money for is defective and does not hold up to the way it should you can not return it. It has become like a bad store that says SALES ARE FINAL. This Macy's is horrible. Been a Black card holder for over 10 years and never seen such incompetent employees in any of there stores. My girlfriend went in to exchange a $180 Clarasonic Mia 2 electric face brush because it just quit working after a week. We were greeted at the makeup counter by Leasa (yes thats the correct spelling) that told us Macy's will only exchange or refund items that are in sellable condition. Thats a scary thought, I guess Macys now sells stuff thats been returned so what your buying has already belonged to someone else. Anyway I told her we have the receipt and its only a week old. She said its a new policy. I said please get the store manager, thinking to myself this lady has no clue what she is talking about. So then Ellen comes up and repeats the same thing and the policy came out 3 days ago, I said we bought it a week ago before the policy started and she said that doesn't matter "it encompasses everything ever bought at Macy's". Evidently Macy's is making there own laws now. I said the receipt says it can be exchanged or refunded if returned with the original receipt which we had. She said the receipt says if it is in sellable condition and I said no it don't. She printed a blank one from the register and said read this. I showed her our receipt and said it does not say that on this one. She said well I told you it changed 3 days ago. I tried to explain to her that its not only immoral to do what she was attempting to do but also illegal. Obviously Macy's is scrapping the bottom of the barrel for employees now. These people are more like scam artist and street thugs, robbing customers without using a gun to do it is not much different. I did tell the lady I was videoing it and I do have it all on video. If the money is not refunded a class action lawsuit will be filed, not for us but for all the people that don't know there rights, especially the senior citizens that Macy's is now taking advantage of.
