I have been to Mad Goat, North, South and the one in Champaign, Illinois. They do a great job of making high quality coffee drinks. It has a meeting room in the South location. I can see this being a highly rated coffee shop on its own, but having been to one of the other locations, I think this Mad Goat location will be one that I won't be frequenting often. The main reason is the general location. I am not a resident of Danville, so I am not in Northern Danville ever. Instead, I travel along Highway 74 quite a bit so not only is this location a bit out of the way, there is a bigger and more accessible location right off said highway. Another difference is the general size of this Mad Goat location. Compared to the one on South Gilbert St, this one is part of a strip mall and is a much smaller, intimate space. It serves the purpose of being a nice place to pull out your laptop to do work, but I would much rather get the ambiance and vibe of the other location in Danville. Additionally, I feel the South Gilbert location is more upkept and cleaner than this location. If you are passing through, I would suggest visiting the other location, as it is definitely more glamorous and accessible. Moving away from the physical traits of this coffee shop, everything that they serve here is the same as the other locations. Their drinks still rock and I would recommend the usual London Fog, Matcha drinks, smoothies, etc. I've even ordered an acai bowl here and it was very refreshing. You won't go wrong with this location, I just think the other one on the South side of town has this one beat! read more

Had a meeting in Danville and had about 3 hours between meetings. Wasn't quite sure where to go to kill time and one of my coworkers suggested this spot! I'm glad they did, it's just perfect. There is plenty of parking as they have their own lot. When you walk in everyone is so friendly. They could guess it was my first visit and walked me through the menu. They have a couple of specialty coffees too depending on the season. The one they had this day was an Egg Nog latte. It was really good and I'm not much a sweet coffee drinker (I like it black), so if I'm saying it's good be sure to order if they have it. There is plenty of seating and many with outlets near by. One other thing for the remote workers or sales reps that are traveling through Danville, they have a room you can reserve if you need to hold a meeting or take calls. I'm told it's about $10 for a couple hours. I did have to take a call and I didn't reserve a room and it was just fine. Not too loud at all. I will be back the next time I'm in Danville even if it's just to grab coffee to go. Well done Mad Goat! read more

When they first came to Danville, I was thinking "oh great, its a wanna-be starbucks lets see how long they last" because there have been many businesses that have come and gone in little ol' DVegas. However, this little gem became my favorite spot. I went there to meet up with friends, to study, 1st coffee date with my (now) hubby, And just for some good ass coffee. I grew up in Danville and spent most of my adult life in the dirty D, but I finally made it out in July 2019. There isn't much I miss after moving away (other than family and friends, of course), but MG coffee is definitely one of the things I do miss. read more

This is G.O.A.T. Coffee shop in the world! Never had anything but excellent drinks and service. Do not miss this place. Frequently recommend to everyone, especially out of towners...they all rave about it also. Thai coffee will ruin you for all other. The vibe is on point also. Favorites are the dark roast coffees and iced caramel lattes. There's also a peach apricot green tea that is delish. App is super to use also. This place is a do not miss. Conveniently located off Highway 74, this stop was easy and a pleasure. I ordered a Latte with a shot of vanilla and a Cranberry & White Chocolate Scone. (The other scone choice was Lemon Blueberry) The coffee was excellent and the scone baked to perfection and the perfect compliment to coffee. A nice coffee menu. They had scones and muffins.
