I found myself in Fountain County a few weeks ago exploring two of their Carnegie Libraries, and needed a jolt of caffeine to keep me moving, so I visited Juli's Java and I'm glad I did. Their space is beautiful, with high ceilings, rich wood floors and a welcoming vibe all around. They seem to have a wide variety of choices, and some pastries, but I went with a straightforward iced coffee, which was a perfect way to take the edge off the hot and humid day. The service was quite nice and this does seem like the kind of place that would a nice cornerstone of the community. I do have a soft spot for local businesses, especially those right on the town square. read more

Lovely coffee shop! During my visit I came here majority of mornings to grab some coffee. The decor is lovely and the service is always friendly! I ordered an iced mocha latte with oat milk, a dirty chai with oat milk, a hot mocha with white chocolate added in too! I enjoyed the coffee and will definitely be back on my next visit! I made another visit to Juli's and had to come update my review! I ordered an iced tea (unsweetened) with a splash of coconut milk. It was delicious and just what I needed on a hot September afternoon! My mom and sister were with me and both ordered iced drinks, too. A lavender lemonade - which was a lovely shade of purple and tasty - was my mom's pick. And my sister went with an iced ginger peach tea mixed with lemonade. Both were pleased with their options and we got three large drinks for about $7. There was a line when we went in, but it moved very quickly. Again, staff was very kind and helpful. They have the cups where you don't need to use a straw, too. I didn't expect that and it was a pleasant surprise. Juli's definitely exceeds expectations for a small town coffee shop! We stopped here to have a relaxing chat with an old friend. This little place is right next to the courthouse. The interior is very posh and cute. I got one of their pieces of butter cake and a hot tea. The butter cake was great ! My friend got a muffin. We all enjoyed our snack and drinks. The girls working were pleasant and the place was charming. There were this and that decorations spread all over to continually catch your interest. They had some clothing for sale and also several lotions for sale that said they were made in Covington. There are several places to sit and chat. I like supporting a local business instead of a chain. Check this cute place out the next time you are in Covington. read more

While in town, I decided to get an early afternoon cup of coffee. After finding convenient free parking along the court house, I was surprised to see how big, yet inviting the space was. There's a lounge area near the entrance. There are merchandise shelves including candles in the middle, and the order counter is towards the rear on the right. I got a cup of black coffee and grabbed an apple fritter to go. The brief interaction was pleasant and helpful. I will say that the coffee was served way too hot for my tastes. I had to let it cool for awhile to avoid the major scald/tongue burn that takes their rating down a notch. The fritter was really good though. Even though I didn't eat it until the next morning, it was still fresh and full of apple flavor. Super cute little shop with reasonably priced coffee and an adorable decor. The staff didn't mind that I set up shop to listen to a few lectures and enjoy my coffee. They also have a scent shop that sells deodorant, body sprays, bath salts, and salves. Very cute place! read more

I'm from Texas and love coming here when we are visiting. The environment is great, staff friendly and they move a line fast. I get sugar- free syrups and they have a huge variety to choose from. Most places only have vanilla. I get an iced latte with sugar free chocolate and caramel with almond milk for my go to drink. It's always been great and flavor consistent. My husband gets a chocolate frappe with double chocolate. He says it's the best he's ever had. We have tried an assortment of coffee shops in our travels and our area in Houston (there on every corner) and he's rather picky. Glad to find Juli's! Repeat customer always! read more

There is also both a boutique and candle business located within the shop which just adds to the appeal of this wonderful shop.
