Had these guys come to service our HVAC system that had stopped working. Technician came took a…read morelook for a few minutes, and figured that the problem was the control board and charged us $400 plus the service call and then left. After a few weeks of waiting for the part we called to find out an update and were told that the part should be in soon but we should just replace the entire system for some insanely amount of money! I said we'd consider it if we can't get it fixed. When the part finally came in a different tech who wasn't familiar with the system returned to install it. Then we found that we still had the same problem and that things still weren't working properly. The tech couldn't figure out the problem and that he'd need to go back to the shop to look at a schematic so he charged us for the service call and installation and left never to be heard from again. When we called to follow-up we were told to replace the system or don't call them back becuase they don't want to service the system because it's too old. Yet another company who just wants to 'sell' new systems to people who have older units. Again, this wouldn't be a problem if the system was completely shot and non functioning. But these guys just didn't want to take the time to figure out the problem and fix it. Techs were nice enough but what's with these attitudes in the office? Needless to say, I was able to find someone else from a smaller local service that pinpointed the problem which turned out to be a pulled wire from a plug which mysteriously happened during the previous part installation and a bad relay. He ordered the parts and came back to install them within a week. less than $50! It was unbelievable that these guys wanted to charge me to replace my unit. It's still working a year later with no problems! Go figure! Customer beware! The name says it all!

I had a mini split system installed in 2021 by CR Wolfe and after the first year, it required an…read moreaddition of refrigerant due to an apparent leak. The tech was unable to find the leak, but charged the system and got it working well again. This happened again this summer and again it was restored briefly to working order. When it happened a third time, the service department sent out an amazing tech named Thomas who was determined to solve the problem once and for all. Thomas worked diligently much of the day, found the original problem, but continued to test to prove that it was the only problem! I had paid for the previous calls, but when Thomas found the problem it was clear that it was an installation error and reported this back to his supervisor. Now comes the part that separates this company from so many others; when I sent a letter requesting they consider refunding my previous service charges, the management agreed and promptly send a check for those charges. This fair, customer first attitude is so rare in these times and has made me a great fan of CR Wolfe (and their amazing tech Thomas!) WELL DONE! Bon

HV Chimney has been the only service I've used since purchasing my home 17 years ago. And Larry has been my go-to for advice and insurance that the job was properly managed. On this cleaning trip, Larry thoroughly inspected and cleaned the wood burning insert they recommended and installed a little less than a year ago. I didn't expect it to be a big job since we've used the fireplace just about four months in 2025. ( I almost put the service off a bit longer to save a few bucks.) My safety minded brain would not let me. THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT: my stove was not in use for months over the warm weather, so we we able to proceed. TIP: DO NOT USE UOUR FIREPLACE FOR AT LEAST 48 hours and insure there are no hot coals or they will need to reschedule for safety. We were ready to proceed. I'm glad I kept my appointment because more soot had built up in the nooks and crannies than was visible. SAFETY FIRST!!! Larry did his usual thorough examination and cleaning an left my living room tidier than he found it. I am considering options for a second fireplace that we decommissioned nearly 15 years ago. Kelly answered the phone and was very pleasant, professional and helpful in facilitating an appointment and explaining the process of what the inspection would entail. This was very helpful as we have never had a chimney before and weren't sure what to expect. Eric came out for the inspection and was very professional and explained everything in detail. Despite this, there unfortunately was still a misunderstanding on our end. We reviewed the reports and decided to get both the creosote treatment and boiler liner installation. Dave and Matt came to do those and were friendly, efficient and clean. Later, when my husband looked at the work they did, it did not appear to be what we were previous told it would be at the initial inspection. We expected masonry and busting through the cinderblock and there didn't seem to be any of that. We wanted to make sure they were doing what we had been told they would do. We called and spoke to the owner, Robbie, who listened attentively to my husband's concerns. He very professionally and calmly explained the misunderstanding and apologized, explaining that honest work and customer satisfaction is of their upmost priority. We were very impressed with how he handled this and left the conversation having 100% faith in this business and its service people. He even came out again to repair some cracks that had formed once the cement had dried. Robbie went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied customers. It is rare to see such dedication and commitment in customer service! Thank you for your quality work in restoring our chimney!
