We have been riding our bike on the Monon to Twin Kiss for several years. It is a 15 mile ride and…read moreworth the effort. We have always ordered their soft serve ice cream that is very good. This time we ordered the pizza burger after eating the ice cream. Very good. Think of a breaded tenderloin with cheese and pizza sauce inside. The staff is very nice in this vintage drive in restaurant. Outside seating only under their nice, shaded canopy.

Twin Kiss is kind of great because it has that kitschy vibe you expect from an old small-town…read moredrive-in fast-food restaurant. And because it is a drive-in, this means that there is NO indoor seating. So you can either eat in your car, or you can have a seat at one of the picnic benches outside under the alcove. Your choice! We chose to eat outside. We only got ice cream (soft serve) this time, so I can't comment on the food. I got the brownie sundae, which was fine. It had a hefty brownie in it, which was studded with chocolate chips. It comes with chocolate syrup on top. We also got the butterscotch sundae, and two flavor burst cones. These are those ice cream cones where you pick a flavor, and it is swirled around your soft serve, so you get a burst of flavor with each lick. This is 100% a kid thing. Kids can't resist the flavor burst cone. An elderly woman commented that I should have gotten the banana split with chocolate ice cream. She said it was the best. I told her, "Where were you when I was ordering?!" Oh well. Maybe next time.

We've tried several burgers and sandwiches here at Flight Burger, and every one has been v good to…read moreV Delicious. T'other day was a flight of a mushroom/swiss burger, a Western burger, and a straightforward crispy-chicken sandwich. Noticed right away that the chicken was v fresh, a piece of breast (not some formed piece, like a Nugget), with a thin layer of crispy coating, cooked in v clean oil -- VERY good. Both burgers were delicious. Lunch companion had a basic cheeseburger which was great, all elements. Food came out fast and hot. We split a pint of a cold, tasty, dark amber beer that was a bargain at $6. The employee who waited on us was kind, helpful, polite, and just nice to be around. We didn't order sides, as we believed the burgers (% chicken san) would be enough, and ... yup, we were right. A very filling and tasty lunch, and while it costs more than drive-through chains, the quality is going to make us return.

Not spectacular, but good. The Sidewinder fries were nicely cooked. The star of this show was unexpected; the Caesar side salad was presented beautifully and was an unusually large portion (being that it was just a side item). Ambience: They're in a relatively small space. It's a burger bar, so it is what it is, but at least the building is in a nice place in Carmel. Service: You order at the counter/register, and they bring the food to your table. Service was prompt. Those three categories were all good, but I think this was just a case where the whole seemed less than the sum of its parts. They do appear to offer boxes of sliders as a take-out item, so I may try that in the future.
