Stopped by for a brunch time snack for the wife and I. With such a large menu I chose and surprised her with the Indian taco breakfast. They came out piping hot and crisp. Oh my goodness! The chicken fried steak is hand breaded STEAK, freshly made to order. I'm a born & raised South Texan and I have eaten my fair share of amazing CFS! This steak was one of the best. I've been meaning to review this place for some time but I always end up in a food coma before I get to it. The food here is beyond indulgent, but also undeniably worth it. The portions are enormous, but there's no loss in quality. The biscuits and gravy are the best in town, and I'm fairly certain I've tried all the other breakfast places. That said, the stuffed French toast is the best thing I've had. I have to remind myself that I can't eat it every day, but the desire to is there. In the end it's not bad tasting, but nothing special either. If you want a lot of food for cheap it will serve its purpose. But don't get it if you won't be near a restroom for a while. I absolutely love biscuits and gravy. The last few years I've become somewhat of a snob. Every breakfast place in town I visit I always get a side of B&G I can instantly tell whether the gravy is from a can or homemade and same goes for the biscuits. I ordered a double from Mad Moose today and I have to say they are in my top two of all the places in Kootenai county for biscuits and gravy. The plate is huge and i doubt i will finish it. We were so excited to discover this breakfast food truck when we stopped by the food trucks for our fav bbq. Zack at backhills bbq said the deep fried breakfast sandwich he had eaten was amazing. The next morning I surprised my family with the Mad Rolls (Amazing!!!!) Fry bread tacos the stuffed Paris bread. The Mad rolls are served with the option of several sauces. Opt for the gravy! I don't even like gravy and I could have eaten her gravy by the spoonful. Truly a talented chef in this food truck! The stuffed Paris bread was was enough for my 6 year old and I to share, it is bursting with flavor with the perfectly balanced lemon curd, blueberry and cream cheese. Today I woke up and the first thing out of my sons mouth was if we could get breakfast at the food truck again. Today we tried the chicken fried steak omelette who's generous portion size provided my husband with enough left overs for another breakfast. He said it was another win. We also tried out her pancakes or meadow muffins which are lightly flavored with orange and almond. My son was in awe of the flavor. Her bacon was perfectly cooked and we are already plotting what our next breakfast order will try next. I'm thinking the moose Mayhem looks pretty tasty!! Breakfast is served until close at 2:30 and she offers some yummy looking options for lunch as well.
