I've seen them in the City @ Foley's Irish Pub (they're there every 3rd Saturday), Flamingo Hotel and Resort in Santa Rosa, and various locations supplying the entertainment at fairs, weddings, and birthday parties!!! Everytime, I see them...they get better and better...truly a class act! They not only play the old school funk jams that will get your booty shaking, but also the reggae/island feel that all islanders know and love, they can get jiggy with it, slow it down for romancing, plus, they can rock the house- they got something for everybody out there...no matter what color, shape or size...love these guys! I love them so much I hired them as a wedding gift for one of my sister's best friends-Sia & Tony's wedding was Saturday, 8/08/09 and the reception was at the Basque Cultural Center! Let me tell you...they did not disappoint anyone at this reception...their sounds were hip, funky, soulful and island all the way! I was truly surprised at the cultural songs they performed...it was a very colorful event, a Samoan/Tongan wedding. Sole won the hearts of both families...entertaining them in their native languages.....awesome job! I already knew they were good, but they were over the top with the traditional island music...kudos!!! If you really want to get a nice cardio workout, check these guys out. I must have sweated off ten pounds. I can't help it...once they start, I am on the dance floor till the end! Jordan kindly replied and told me that their stuff wasn't on iTunes but that he could send me a CD FREE of charge! How awesome is that guy! I have not been able to make it out to any of their most recent events but I can say that the music and entertainment is quality stuff. And even though it's been a while since I've seen them whenever their album comes on on my iPhone I enjoy every bit of it and I sing a long to my hearts content. Most recently, I heard they were playing at a winery in Livermore one Saturday afternoon so at the last minute we went. It was a blast and the band is just so fun. I love the variety of music. They are talented but don't seem to take themselves too seriously and seem to be most concerned that their audience is having fun. If I had the chance to hire them, I would. They play a perfect mix of songs from the 1960s to the present so there's something for everyone.

In a sweaty, stand-around-a-tiny-music-store-in-the-afternoon kind of way. So, what was the next logical step? Go watch Circle play on the Bus. And so we went. Showed up around eleven to where the Bus was parked under the freeway, over by the UPS parking lots. Climbed the aluminum ladder to the top, then hung out for the rest of the night, marveling the whole while. Circle tore it up, beneath our asses, and the Bus was hopping. There's a loft inside, above the stage, and a hammock, and there's a basketball hoop mounted on the back. Bring your own whatever. This is a great band! Their music and vocals are true to the original artists, they cover! Everyone certainly appeared to be having a great time, dancing and enjoying the show! About a year ago, my wife and I decided to turn of the TV, get off the couch and go out dancing, a couple time a month. It is a lot of fun and painless exercise, too! . Careless Whisper is an 80's tribute band that performs throughout the bay area at specific venues…read moreas well as private events. I've seen them perform a couple times at the Brit on Almaden in San Jose for a nighttime event (they perform here regularly), and again at Rock the Dock concert series in Redwood City this past weekend. They're lots of fun, and play a range of instruments, including the keytar (keyboard shaped like guitar), which I enjoyed during their most recent performance. Their song list this past Saturday afternoon included hits like "What I Like About You" (by the Romantics), and all of their covers are always entertaining. What I really appreciate about them is they come dressed in appropriate costume, whether it looks goofy or amazing, great wigs, awesome tights, and they are very animated on stage, making you feel like you're at a real 80's rock concert. They keep the crowd engaged and entertained, and they make you wanna dress and act the part too. I'm definitely a fan, and it's not that they're perfect, but they play the classic 80's music we all love and they hype up the crowd to make it exciting. Also, the events they perform at usually are free of cost (thanks to the venues/organizers that host them).

My husband and I had planned an 80s themed party and I had been to or seen Tainted Love around town (too much) in the last year and a half. Just to mix it up I hired Careless Whisper. Fingers crossed they'd be decent. I started following them on instagram leading up the the party and don't let the poor sound capturing from phones be a good indication of what they actually sound like IRL. The big day came and I poked my head into the room they were having dinner before the guests arrived to say hi and thank you in advance. They were so quiet and calm and chill. Said hi back and that was that. Once they got on stage HOLY FECK. We were transported back to 1983 and had the best night of our lives. I cannot recommend them enough. THIS is the 80s cover band you want.
