Before blowing in the insulation, all openings to the attic including for airconditioning outlets and lights were fully insulated. The vents were all properly protected with new coverings. The employees that were sent - Aaron and Louie, were a pleasure to work with. We have had our share of lousy contractors so it was a delight to work with people who were conscientious about getting their work done properly and proud of it. I recommend them highly.

Once the siding started one of the guys seemed to be the Chief (don't know his name will call him Chief), He was barking at the other guys and even had a yelling match then one told him he cannot tell his crew what to do. Lunchtime the chief came and TOLD me they needed paper plates and napkins as pizza had been ordered. I thought why are you TELLING me to get things but also asked if would like pop. He said GIVE us as many as you can WHAT!!! A few days later he came into my home when I was not home and took more pop. I know it was just pop but he had NO reason to be in my home and was not given permission to come into my home. I started to lock my door when they were working. Came home from work and the Chief came to me and said he waited for me to get home to talk me OUT of putting up the new overhangs. I said NO! He said What GOOD reason do you have for the overhangs. It is a lot of work. I told him again I want the overhangs on the side and in the front. I told him I was paying good money for it. He said he did not get that money but was being paid minimum wage. It should not matter what my reason is and it was already approved to be worked by the contractor. Once he finally started to put up the framework he made it shorter than the last one. I told him it was short he started yelling at me and said it was the same size as it was originally. It told him no it is not, short about 2 feet. He kept yelling at me and I told him this is my home and I know where things are to go and it needs to be extended. I called the contractor and about 15 mins later Chief came and apologized. I do not accept his apology as his bad attitude did not stop! Chief commented on my garage as there is moss on the siding. He said he had his power washer and wanted $100 cash. Gave him my number and he told me not to tell the contractor as did not want side jobs. Yet after how he treated me, he is never to come on my property and it is not OK for him to do anything else on my property! They also left tons of nails all over my lawn. I had to handpick them filling over a large container full! They also left cigarette butts in my yard inches to feet from my home. Was told by the contractor there would be NO smoking anywhere on my property. There was smoking right next to my home! They also ripped the kitchen screen and no one said anything, if they had said something it would have not been an issue. Chief started to put the top of the framework up and was using very thin rippled plastic. I told him that was not good as it was thin and not strong enough. The old overhang was made of metal and he even used a saw to take it down. He told me that I should be thankful for what I get! I know I am poor and home needed repair but he should never tell a customer or a woman that I should be thankful for what I get!! I knew I had to bite my tongue and knew I needed to play this game (play with the devil) to get this project done. Yet I am NOT ok with this! Beneficial does not work with women well. The way they speak to a woman as their paying customers is not acceptable. They did receive payment as promised yet this kind of treatment is unacceptable and I am not OK with how I was treated by Beneficial

My back yard is on the edge of a conservancy and always mostly in shade and the ground stays soft so when a previous service had used a standing mower it left deep ruts in the yard that had to be filled. I told David this and asked not to use the standing mower but his guys used the standing mower anyway. The front of the house really cannot be done with the standing mower. David will no longer be doing anything in my yard.

Billed me for $2600 for carpentry trim upgrade to entry; was a 2x4 nailed crooked to the existing post. I tried to witness most of the one-day job but had to leave for 1/2 hour at lunch. Returned to find 4 guys IN MY FRUIT TREES like zoo animals, testing the limbs for strength. The trucks tore up the yard with 8" ruts because of course, they just drive where-ever to get close to the house, Jim again saying he'd be back to repair but NOPE! This was the most regrettable choice I've made and i hope that this may save you some remorse. And he uses the cheapest materials available, cutting all corners and complained bitterly anytime I challenged him. Ultimately, you have choices - and you have every reason to expect to get what you've paid for. This ISN'T that. If this is your only option, modify the contract to partial payment and total upon SATISFACTORY COMPLETION. Otherwise Jim Muir will leave the promises in the past and you won't see him again... I had to hire another outfit to get the place presentable; Jim couldn't have cared less... Now read my first line again and consider how much extra you want to pay for the GIMIC of a one-day roof.

When it came time ( after the new roof, soffets , etc were installed) to call USAA- Jim did not answer my texts, phone calls. He finally sent a text stating he tried to call the insurance company, and I have a substandard policy. That was the end of it. I had a male friend go up and look at my roof- "not the best roof job I've seen"..

MadCity Environmental has been real help in assisting my needs with a 100+ year old home. John came in and assessed the situation and prepared a plan-of-action to start bring my house back into form. He did both an air quality inspection as well as a energy assessment of my foundation and attic air movement, he used fancier words than what I am writing. And although I can't get all the work done at once, because there is a lot of work, John helped me have a game plan for what is critical to do and what we can temporarily wait to do on the home. I contacted John from Madcity Environmental to clean the gutters but he offered to do some extra work for my roof. He repaired few of the shingles which has holes and which were loose from the nails with roof caulking. He also fixed one of the drain pipes which was smashed. He sounded very professional and knowledgeable with all his work. He is very friendly too. I already recommended him to my friends and neighbors. We recently had the sewer back up into the basement at our rental property and John was able to recommend a septic cleaning company and we hired him to contain the contamination and perform a complete removal and clean up of the basement. He was able to allow our renters to stay at the house while completing his work! Definitely will hire him again! read more

Our realtor actually gave us a number to someone she recommended but when we called them, they kept us on hold and eventually hung up. After that bust, I searched online for another contractor and saw all of the positive reviews A-Team Construction had online. When I called them, I was greeted by Nicole who was extremely professional and friendly. She was able to have Cory come out and talk to us about what we wanted to do in a timely manner. When Cory arrived, he was excited to help us out with all of the ideas we had and gave us some feedback about what might or might not work based on our goals. He came as many times as he needed to make sure we were all on the same page about what we wanted to do. He even helped us outline the work with painter's tape so we could get a better feel for how the finished product would look. We really appreciated how flexible he was when it came to meeting with us since my husband works long hours but still really wanted to be a part of the process. In addition, to keep costs down for us, Cory suggested and carefully explained a few demo tasks we could do ourselves. A-Team is very busy so we did have to wait a few weeks for the work to be done, but it was done quickly and efficiently. I love how Tommy, the Vice President, keeps the lines of communication open throughout the entire process to ensure we are 100% happy with the work. Even after they were done, he has followed up to make sure everything is working well. Not every company's VP will give out his cell phone number so you can call them directly about a concern you have. You can really feel how much he cares about his customers' ultimate satisfaction. My only complaint is about the drywall guy they work with. He left some fruit scraps on the floor after he was done for the day which we thought was rude and unprofessional. However, when we called them about it, they handled our complaint with grace and assured us that he was going to be addressed. When they were done, they left the house cleaner than how it started. I forgot to mention that the first time I posted this, but it was so impressive. I just had to mention it. Bottom line: I would without a doubt recommend A-Team Construction for your remodeling needs. Call them. You won't regret it!
