I've visited SIP 3 times over the past few months and the staff has been helpful with recommending drinks and have been friendly all 3 visits. I tried the iced carrot cake latte during my last visit and loved it!!!! I've also had a caramel macchiato and caramel/cookie butter latte and have enjoyed each of these drinks. It was my first time at this coffee shop and the employees were very respectful and great service and great coffee but the owner was very rude not only to customers but the way she was speaking to her employees too! SIP is good times. Been coming on and off for about 7 years now and they have never once disappointed. It also feels like the clientele has been growing steadily. I think it's noticeable for me because I'm not here all the time, but only come once every few months or so. Because I'm not in this neighborhood during the hours that caffeine is required, I'm always regretful that I don't get chances to try too many coffee variants. I usually end up getting their seasonal items, which usually are some sort of lattes. I do remember not being disappointed, the few times I had gotten their pourover or chemex brews, so I have nothing bad to say about them. I think it's obvious of how much a person loves the Sip when they know the best times to visit. More good coffee in a cute and minimalist shop! It's two floors which is neat as the second floor is a quiet zone.

What a cute coffee shop close to everything! They have great coffee selections, on-the-go food options and sit down menu items! Right when I walked in I was greeted with the biggest smile! The staff was so nice and extremely accommodating to me and my little. I was asked if I wanted to start a a "Passport" with them that is a stamp book to get you either a free shirt or sweatshirt! Such a cute loyalty program they have that I'm sure I'll be using in the future. I ordered the coffee special, avocado toast, and some yogurt. They had such a great selection for food options as well as other coffee options. One of the baristas brought a high chair to our table and we sat and enjoyed our breakfast. I had higher expectations, given the crowds and reputation. I don't hate it but meh. Lemme explain. I've been here about 4x over the last year. Their lavender latte is just ok - has a harsher taste than other places. They do have pour overs but mostly focus on dark roast which is ew to me. They have a variety of snacks. I did like the $5.50 raspberry tart. At flying Joe those pop tarts are $6 so that's a good deal (kinda lol). The area is small but I'm pretty sure there's an upstairs. I'm not a huge fan nor do I hate this place! Which is why I gave it 3 stars. To me it's average. A friend of mine and I went during a pretty busy time on a Sunday. It seemed like people were just flooding in one after the other. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. Everything was made really well too and it seemed well-staffed. My biggest complaint about this place is the lack of space. They have a nice second floor but if you have a kid in a stroller, are in a wheelchair, use a walker, etc. it's not the ideal place to go, especially since it is almost always packed. It's definitely a place, I find, that caters to certain people. I love the layout of the furniture but for how busy it gets and how many individuals come in regularly it doesn't seem fitting. There will be plenty of space but you have one person taking up a 4 person table and then there's no space. It's just claustrophobic, even though I don't mind smaller spaces. read more

I visited SIP on 4/19 at 3:18 PM, and the service I received was disappointing. The employee who helped me didn't hand me my food or my to-go bag--she just tossed it on the counter without a word. I was the only person in line, yet she completely forgot my coffee. It wasn't until a coworker reminded her--about 10 minutes later--that she finally made it. No apology, no "have a good day," nothing. SIP, you can do better. Basic customer service goes a long way. read more

I've never eaten there, but everything looks delicious. I discovered this spot when looking for a place for a writing group to meet in the evening. While many coffee shops close in the afternoon, SIP Coffee is open until 8pm. The ambiance is welcoming, open, modern and very clean. There are lots of seating options both on the main floor and the second floor loft area. This place attracts a diverse crowd. The barristas are very friendly and aim to please. They are always polite and appreciative to receive a tip. There is upbeat music playing on the speakers and the vibe is lively. SIP Coffee is extremely well run and even the bathrooms are very clean. SIP is expensive for what you get, period. The coffee and coffee products ain't bad, but they're not that great either. You're definitely paying for the location and the atmosphere. Minus one star. Service: I've been here more than a few times. Almost always, the service has been either slow, inaccurate, or both. Cappuccino is not good. You can taste it was burned. I asked them to remake it and they were nice enough to remake it but the second one still burned flavor. I tried the matcha drink as well and I didn't enjoy it at all. Peanut butter cookie was extremely crumbly and hard. I know we pay for the place, decors and atmosphere I come here on each weekend so I would expect for a loyal customer who comes to hang out with friends and business meetings at least my beverage would be acceptable. I stopped here after dinner to grab a dessert coffee and a snack before getting on the road back to Columbus. The pastries looked fairly fresh so I ordered a chocolate croissant which I ended up eating the next day. The space is bright and welcoming. Seemed like lots of small groups studying or collaborating. The coffee was sweet,cold, and sugary, just as I like it. The most amazing part was the gender neutral restroom which had a child sized table and two appropriately sized chairs. I can only imagine the relief parents must have when they come here with their children and don't have to worry about the mischief their child will get into (looking under other stall doors or running around between tables) while using the facilities. read more

Before we ordered, we set our backpacks down, and were already questioned if we were going to buy something. However, buying coffees and food did not seem to satisfy the management. After purchasing coffee and food for everyone at our table, someone at our table had an unopened outside canned beverage. The management came over and asked us to put the can away, and we complied. The management came around again to ask if we put the beverage in the car. Again, we already had a drink and food per person, so it seemed over the top to have us move one singular outside beverage from put away in the backpack to into the car. I understand why they don't want outside food and beverage, but we clearly weren't drinking from that beverage. I suppose SIP would be perfectly ok if you don't stay there for longer than it takes to order. We had 3 different coffees between our group and honestly we thought they were mediocre at best. Graded on the coffee we got I'd give it 2 stars, maybe 3 on a good day. So why did I give it 4? The food. I would honestly go back just for the grilled cheese. My wife had a sandwich I can't remember the name of but it was also amazing! The inside is fairly spacious but they were busy the entire time we were there and it felt crowded. Especially while waiting on our coffee, it felt like you were always in the way. The service was really great. The coffee shop itself was bright, and super modern looking. They had an upstairs (which i wasn't able to check out) and plenty of seating downstairs.
