This is a shop dedicated to the Washington artisans making awesome, unique goods. This place is great for gifts and souvenirs (and much more reasonably priced than the airport kiosks who jack up the price since they know you're a captive audience) from art to food to blankets and tchotchkes. They had samples of tea and coffee to try before committing to an entire bag which is pretty considerate. One of the workers was very helpful in explaining their coffee selection and how it was roasted. Yes, some items still have a mark up, but you're paying for the convenience of all the stuff being in one place. They can't exactly draw you in with a loss leader. MADE IN WASHINGTON @ BELLEVUE Made in Washington is located inside Bellevue Square, and mall parking is free in any of the garages. I'd recommend parking under Macy's or H&M. There's usually plenty of parking, but on weekends it can get very busy, so you may have to circle a bit. This was my first time visiting Made in Washington, and it's a great stop if it's your first time in Seattle and you want to check out locally made products. As soon as you walk in, there's a lot of chocolate, along with kitchen décor, lotions, and soaps. Some items are on the pricier side, but there are also more affordable options. My mom and I found a lotion for about $14 that smelled amazing. They also offer plenty of samples, which I really liked. Overall, the value is pretty decent, you'll find some things you love and some you may pass on. The only downside was the customer service. No one greeted or acknowledged us, and it felt like most of the staff stayed behind the register. Despite that, I still had a great experience and would recommend stopping by if you're looking for gifts or products that are made in Washington. read more

I decided to check out this store and I'm so glad I did! It has ONLY Washington related merchandise. There's a bunch of nice art and very cute items. I tried the Maeve Chocolate bar ($6.50) and it was SO good. They had a section and there's a page where it states their company's story. I had to support them, and I'm so glad I did because it was one of the best chocolate I've ever had! I also decided to buy their hot sauce too which looked like it had good ingredients in it! The ambiance is great! So many Washington related things, and there are a variety of things you can purchase. You can't go wrong with anything here. The service was good! Employees were helpful. Some were nicer than others, but overall good! I'll definitely be coming back here in the future! read more

I've always loved Made in Washington stores as they have unique gift items that are carefully curated. Was looking for a gift basket and the store manager, Jax, assisted with product suggestions and ideas. Her enthusiasm and excitement were contagious! I couldn't find a card in store that suited my needs, so she let me pay for my items and let me drop off a card later. Told me she would text the following Monday with my tracking number and she did as promised. :). Staff is easy to work with and the store carries everything from art work to food items. Made in Washington is a souvenir oriented kind of store located in Bellevue Square. It is similar to the Pacific Northwest Store that Seattle and Tacoma have locations of but the inventory is a bit different with some things. As the name implies everything in the store is made in Washington state. I was smelling candles there when a lady selling candles off of a nearby table drew me over to smell her candles that she made. I loved a spring scented rain candle with a touch of floral. Another one that got me was a hearthside scented candle. So in the end I bought a candle each of each scent and I am very pleased with them. These candles have more of a natural scent and isn't too perfumed up like so many candles can be. read more

Made in Washington is a wonderful shop with all items made locally in ... drumroll ... Washington! Most items lean towards higher end, especially at this location since Bellevue is a higher income area. I have also observed regular rotation of new items and displays. During today's visit, they have a new dried fruit tea corner, with glass pot and glass simmer bottle. There's also a fantastic custom glass decor display. See photo. Another new find is the small batch lotions in glass containers. I have been seeing these more so in high end boutiques; it's nice to see MinW also carrying some. Their reliable regulars remain to be artistic Seattle souvenirs, salmon filets, and chocolates! I won't dismiss the other comments that same or similar items are commonly more expensive at this store. I think there's a convenience value to a wonderful selection of locally made items vs. hunt-and-pick myself. For some items, I would instead go to a local drugstore to buy (chocolate bars). But if they gave me the idea for the product, I'll buy it from them instelad. read more

I purchased some Seattle chocolates as a birthday gift for a person who is extremely difficult to buy for ("if I can't eat it or wear it, I don't want it" type of person), and since I didn't have time to go to the source of these chocolates, this store saved me! read more

My experience here was very uncomfortable! I came in with the intention to purchase couple gift sets for my relatives back home. When I got the section of the items I was looking to buy, I was approached by this super racist and aggressive lady, looks probably in her late 50's. As I was starting to speak she cuts me off and doesn't even let me finish any of my sentences. I was looking for specific sizes yet she didn't even want to help, just started saying "well it's right there, figure it out." All I wanted was to check out some small t shirts, Overall, she was just extremely rude, screaming all this nonsense and didn't even know what I was looking for. I was really traumatized by this whole situation, which resulted in me just walking out. Luckily, i was able to purchase all my Seattle souvenirs somehow else where. Always in need of souvenirs, I decided to check out Made in Washington after doing some shopping elsewhere in the Bellevue Square Mall. I love local goods so this store was perfect for me. Aside from just having fun browsing all the various items for sale (glass, jewelry, Space Needle paraphernalia, calendars, salmon products, other edibles), I left with a snazzy wooden ornament and a couple of artsy Seattle postcards. I thought the prices were totally reasonable, but to each his/her own, I guess. The guys working were also very nice. Cool shop for tourists! read more

I would totally love to support local Washington Businesses but their prices have become just way to high. For instance, item you can buy directly from the Theo Chocolate store in Fremont for $1.99 they want $2.79 for. This is a small example. I get it- Bellevue Square is expensive rent but if you sell for less you do more volume and can make profits that way. Also watch what items ring up- on my last visit two items rang up more then they were marked for (they were fixed on the spot) but still be very careful what you pay for and what the tag says. read more

The Made In Washington stores proliferate the local malls and in the airport. They shout out to the tourist, or the recent transplant looking for something to send to their left loved ones in the states that once was home. And many of us are transplants, and many of us find ourselves lured into the shop with its cozy interior and small portable items. There is a large range of items from cards to jams to blankets and even small books. Yet, I feel that you could find something a bit more authentic, a bit more cheaper if you went down to Pike Place and looked around there. Most of the items from the Made from Washington store are not unique to it, but there is a significant price markup. The employees, though, are always helpful and pleasant. So, if you aren't concerned about a budget this is a nice one stop shop for touristy items. read more

Yup I'm a tourist and I expect to be fleeced in places like this. I also took careful note and at least this shop is cheaper than the Made in Washington at SEATAC airport. Unfortunately, friends and family always appreciate something local and short of them selling labels saying 'Made in Washington' (hey is that a business opportunity?) to stick on cheaper stuff you buy in the regular shops, there's no option. A good selection of local gift type items for family and friends out of town, but most everything is WAAAAAY over priced. Employees are always nice and helpful. Went there with fiance last night to get a 12-pack of Seattle Christmas cards (it is our first Christmas here) to send the friends and family. Not fancy cards, but the simple small ones with a picture on front and just say "Seasons Greetings" inside and nothing more. They were about $13.00. I understand they can be a little pricier for their uniqueness, but when you're paying TRIPLE what you'd pay anywhere else, that's overkill. read more

I've always liked stores that offer variety. "Made in Washington" is the type of place where you can find a gift for just about anyone. They have a wide selection of artisan chocolates and gourmet foods - salt water taffy, bacon spread, onion mustard, butter toffee peanuts, dried cherries, lemon cookies, various jams. But they also sell things like jewelry, hand blown glass ornaments, mugs and pottery. It's also a great place to buy souvenirs and Washington wine. Last time I went back to New York City I got my dad some Smoked Wild Salmon and he loved it. I'm sending them a chocolate truffle assortment for Easter and I'm sure that they'll like that too. read more

I absolutely love this store, while overpriced has a lot of awesome local items that I love sharing with my family. I have been in twice this season. I know it is a stressful time of the year but Laurie needs an attitude adjustment not only towards the customer but the other employees. The 1st time I came in at the beginning of December another employee was helping at me and Laurie snapped at her while she was helping me about a process. The 2nd time in she didn't even greet me at the beginning of my purchase, just said the total amount due. Another customer was asking her a few questions as well and she was short and abrupt with that customers. Stores can't afford to have employees who are rude interacting with customers. This is twice in two different visits I have witnessed. I am hesitant to even come in the store if I see her working. Take a deep breath and be more delightful. read more

But walking thru, I actually found Martha Stewart quality home and kitchen items, like bacon salt, spreads, chocolates, etc without costing an arm AMD a leg. of course, made locally. as well as some local artisans, like glass blowing objects. friendly service. easy repeat, great gift store. read more

Cute shop! They had really good stuff; I was expecting something more like the souvenir shops they have elsewhere but they were able to get some pretty unique items in here (loved the glass items!). Two stars because I have experienced better. I have been here over a year ago because I wanted to buy some souvenirs. I remember I left because no one greeted me or asked me how may I help you. I went again recently because I needed to buy some souvenirs. I remember last time and this time was the same. There were two people there and no hello. The older woman was nicer as she asked me if I wanted my glasses wrapped. The cashier did not say anything! The place is small and it makes sense to say hello or ask if the customer needs help. My mom came back with me as she wanted to buy some candies and she even asked and these two did not say anything. I told my mom we can go some place else. The customer service is blah. read more
