I've wandered around in here a few times and need to update my review. This is a mid to high-end interior design and home decor store with small pieces that will fit any budget, too. There are whimsical small items priced as small as $40! I've been greeted and so has whoever's been with me whenever I've walked around in here, whether I had any intention to buy or not. Brands that I've seen sold here are Ralph Lauren Home, Marge Carson, Baker and Hickory White. Besides interior design services, there are art pieces, home decor items and even coffee table books for purchase. The last time I visited, I dragged a friend in with me as she was intimidated by what she saw staged in front. I knew once she got over herself and looked around she would be taken aback by the beauty of the pieces. We came across this lamp that she gasped at, and an employee saw her. He came over and offered to help us out. He got a light bulb as there wasn't one in it and placed it in the lamp then plugged it in. The base was made of rock and was a pure stunner, even more so with the light on. Just fabulous. My friend collects crystals and rocks, so she went off on a tangent asking questions, and the sales agent indulged her and didn't BS her when she asked things he didn't know, and he offered to find out. They have several full, decorated Christmas trees during the holidays that you can buy and have transported home so you don't have to do any decorating yourself. The thing I love about Schoener's is that you can purchase the furniture displayed in their beautiful showroom. In August 2024, I purchased two leather chairs and special ordered a couch with the assistance of Ms. Neda Shook, a most accomplished sales consultant. Neda not only knew her furniture very well, but she also has excellent interior designer skills as well. She was a difference maker on where I shop for furniture. read more

I've been meaning to write this for a minute. Whenever I'm in the Sea area, I love stopping into this store. You never know what you'll find, but there's always a lot to look at and be inspired by. Big ticket items aside (and there are plenty), there are also so many stylish and reasonably priced smaller pieces. I especially love checking out the unique children's items they carry because finding cool stuff for kids that isn't ordinary big box store brands can be really difficult. Also, they GO OFF with holiday decor. I don't even like seasonal decor, but their art and decorations are just different. We called ahead to make an appointment and it was super clean and seemed like we were the only customers there, which made it feel less stressful with Covid. I ended up getting a really cute stuffed animal and blanket for my niece, and a Jonathan Adler candle for myself. Downside is parking at the mall, and distance from Seattle being in Bellevue, but the curated selection is worth the drive to know you're going to find something unique. read more

This place has really taken a nosedive from my perspective ofcourse. I was casually looking through their displays thinking about getting a dining table... they look like they have been designed with someone with absolutely no sense of color and co-ordination whatsoever I liked this store for its bold choices where they tastefully muxed different styles and still came off looking beautiful and sophisticated. But this is something else... I thought it was just one display. But nope it's throughout the store. Garish sequins and an assortment of arbitrary patterns. The store is beautiful and if you're looking for some high end upgrades they are great. This review is for their design services. We hired Schoener to help us design our master bathroom remodel as we were too overwhelmed and didn't want to go store to store during the pandemic. Our contractor recommended them so we reached out. We felt very disrespected and unheard. We were hoping to have someone lead us but felt like we had to lead them because they didn't get our vision/ideas. We had to have our custom barn door made twice and still did not come in correctly so we ended up without a door for now. Communication was very difficult too. We had to do hours of research scouring sites to find the fixtures we wanted because our designer wasn't interested in our style. We wish he would have told us up front he didn't want to work with us instead of getting us 2/3 into the project and then just dropping the ball. Horrible customer service by this woman named ROBIN, my friend and I came in to look at wallpapers, she led us to this small room to look at what they have, when we were almost done, I almost bumped into one of their furnitures and ROBIN told me, oh you have to buy it if it breaks but she said it in a very arrogant and condescending way, I mean even my friend said she was so rude, I wouldn't want to bring my business here, my friend who's like a mom to me was so mad that she said she will also write a review, I'm so happy that we got her card because she is such a rude human being, zero customer service and was not at all warm, she's the type that she looks at you and checks what you're wearing if you could afford to go into their store and actually buy their furniture and that is my opinion of her based on my experience and interaction with her, well we could afford it but I don't want to bring my business to her or this store, such a horrible experience that I had to write about it too here on Yelp for people to read about what happened to me, i felt so horrible after that encounter with Robin, I believe Robin and this is what my parents taught me, that there is always a way to say things, but you didn't say things the way a customer wants to hear things. So disappointed with her in all aspects. I understand if that's their policy but do not say things in a rude tone and way, choose your words, Nordstrom customer service is the best, you would never hear them say that to a customer or they would use better and softer words if they did! read more

I worked with Schoener several years ago to help furnish my home. After 10 years and a move out of state, I began having issues with some barstools. I reached out to them and connected with Christine Hwang. Christine spent quite a bit of time researching my purchase and reached out to the company to try and help me with the issues. Christine didn't hesitate to spend her valuable time to try and find a fix for me. I appreciate all the time and effort she spent working on this. This is a fantastic store if you're looking for some statement pieces in your home. It's high-end and it shows. You can find anything from whimsical and outrageous to classic and streamlined. I saw trunks, coffee tables, sofas/sectionals, to lamps, dressers, dining sets, and beds. They really have a wide variety of pieces to choose from and I found myself really loving one of the sofas and one of the bedroom sets. Sad to say though, it would appear I wasn't taken seriously as a customer. I was never once greeted when I came in and even though I made eye contact with at least 2 people working the sales floor, no one came over to ask if I had questions or needed help. Is it an age thing? I bought a condo last year that's been under construction for what feels like an eternity. Now I'm on a serious hunt to buy all-new on furniture for my first home. Move in date is slated for June so I'm spending the next many weeks looking around and finding the pieces I want/need. We're talking custom cabinets, a built-in home office, custom closets, and more. I really did feel like because I might look young or because I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt, I was ignored here. My Ninja Turtles sweatshirt gets lots of compliments elsewhere. read more

I had a terrible experience with Linda (the owner of Schoener) after working with her company for over four years and spending a significant amount of money. I was personally offended by how I was treated, and regret having given her my business. Here was my experience... The day before I left for vacation, a vendor of Schoener's came over to install eight drapery panels, which looked great on installation. As it turned out, however, a few of the drapery panels had several small stains on them, which I noticed when I happened to be looking closely at the fabric upon my return from vacation. I called Schoener, expecting them to make it right and it all went downhill from there. The designer I had been working with escalated the issue to Linda, who was emphatic that the vendor did not make the stains and therefore, the stains had to have happened at my house. When I pressed my case, I found out that the drapery fabric was discontinued and therefore the drapes could not be remade... so I had paid Schoener full retail price for a fabric that had been discontinued. At Linda's suggestion, I called Coit Upholstery Cleaners to clean the drapes, but Coit advised against it. I continued to ask for help, but Linda made it clear she would not touch the drapes. Her final piece of advice was that I box them up and ship them to a cleaner in Oregon - at my risk and cost. She had zero interest in helping me, a long-time customer. As a last resort, I asked for a partial credit back on the cost of the drapes since I was going to have to take on the risk, cost and time associated with trying to remedy this situation I did not cause. That seemed reasonable since I had given Schoener so much past business, the fact that the drapes could not be remade, and that I had paid full retail price. Linda didn't even have the courtesy to respond to my email. That was it, I never heard from her again. Throughout this entire ordeal, Linda's position was that her company was not liable for any of the damage because I accepted delivery of the drapes from her vendor without carefully inspecting over 1,300 sq ft of fabric and panels as tall as 8 feet (never mind that nobody from Schoener even bothered to show up at the install). When you think you are dealing with a reputable company, and pay the kind of mark-ups Schoener charges, you assume you are receiving quality product and don't need to inspect it as if it came from a discount warehouse. You also assume that if something goes wrong, a reputable company would do whatever they could, within reason, to make it right. As the owner of Schoener, Linda could have done something, anything, to help (and retain) a long-time customer. She did nothing. I am now left with $10,000 stained drapes and regret having given her my business all these years. read more

So yesterday I went to this store to find a new couch because I had just recently moved into a new apartment in downtown Bellevue, and I was sitting on one of the couches testing it to see how comfortable they were and to try to see how it feels after sitting on them for a while because I have a bad back and would like something that doesn't hurt my back after sitting for a long period of time, and this woman worker wearing glasses came up to me and kicked me out for "lounging around" never once did she ask how my day was going, if there's anything she could help me find, or anything at all. Just kicked me out as her first interaction with me. I've worked customer service before and that had to be the worst Customer service I've ever experienced. I didn't even bother to argue or tell her I was there to shop because she just assumed I was "lounging around" so I gladly left and took my business else where and ended up finding a nice couch in urban interiors instead, and there customer service was much friendlier! read more

Friendly, remarkable staff who have deep knowledge of their lines and made a design task that I've attempted to tackle for years a pleasant and successful and painless experience. We purchased a new home and wanted to turn it into a dream home! We didn't want to do it on our own and needed a professional touch. There are so many pros out there but most of them were private designers who we felt did not have the class or experience we were looking for. When we walked into Schoener and saw their showroom and projects, we instantly knew they were the ones. That's when we met Brent - a brilliant interior designer worth his weight in gold! Brent is so caring and so friendly! He is always available and happy to help with whatever questions or issues we have. We met and talked about our likes and dislikes, went to measure the space. Brent then created a color palette, materials palette, and had a proposal for the furniture and pieces. He worked with us tirelessly, being extremely responsive. Making suggestions. Helping us avoid disasters while helping us realize our vision. Schoener Installers are absolute Pros! Never met more careful, more precise, friendly people who took extreme care to ensure the install of the art and furniture was perfect. They make sure the carpet was placed the inch and the artwork was hung to within 1/16 of an inch! Their customer service is out of this world! Their furniture and fabric select is the best you've ever seen. The end result is something stunning! Our friends and family are mesmerized. It feels like we wake up in a dream and luxurious hotel every single day. Scohener is top notch from start to finish. Would highly recommend them. Brent is absolutely amazing and the best! We really enjoy working with him. Schoener deliver and install team is super and amazing. Dana Payne at Schoener is an incredible designer! I casually walked in back in January. Dana helped me and I explained I wanted to re-do my condo bedroom. I hadn't really researched anything or anyone but she offered to come out to my place, take a look and provide me with ideas. She was super professional and personal. I provided her with the 'feel' I wanted to have in my bedroom and some idea of my taste. She also picked up a lot from being in my condo, the look at feel of the space and also tastes I have from other parts of my house. Within 3 business days, she had whole design picked out for me - - from paint, wallpaper to furniture, art, lamps and bedding. I was impressed - and a little nervous because I loved every single thing she picked out! I was thinking - - how did she know all of this is EXACTLY what I want? She is VERY good and understanding client needs and how to maximize space. Dana provided a full design and there was no pressure to buy. I was completely at awe how she tied it all together. Everything has a different texture yet it all blends perfectly. In the end, I decided to do it all. I was nervous about buying everything based on a design and not knowing how it would exactly play out and look, but I trusted her completely. I was not disappointed. I cannot say how much I LOVE my new room, how the space has transformed and opened up. It is worth every penny. I sleep better, feel better and enjoy all of the light and design that she helped create. I feel like I have a whole new space more aligned to my current life and a sanctuary that I can relax in and enjoy. I am truly in awe of how she was able to create a design that was so me!! We have worked with Schoener Interiors for many years on small home updates. I really appreciate that they are a local, family owned business and that the family is integral to daily operations. The family and their employees have a real flair for design and are able to work with all aesthetics. We have used them for flooring, room layout and furniture purchases and have always been pleased with the final results. We have found them to be very responsive and creative with problem solving- which is nice when a couch doesn't fit in a door and they magically make it happen! While at first the showroom can appear intimidating because it is so grand and beautiful- if you explore, you will find that they have a little something for everyone at all different price points. I love how they have more unique pieces that you don't necessarily see at the bigger box stores. The quality of their pieces show and they have a lot of interesting conversational pieces that I love. read more

Absolutely the epitome of customer service! We had the opportunity to work with Robyn, Cindy and eventually Matt the General Manager. In 2016 we ordered a leather sectional shortly after moving here from Hawaii. It was on delivered on time and very nice. Unfortunately, about 13-15 months later the arm rests bottom cushions began to fade and peel. I was quite concerned as I have always taken very good care of our furniture, particularly the leather. I called and chatted with Matt, he too was upset and very apologetic - he was able to work with the manufacturer, as there had been a dye problem with that lot of leather. Matt gave us a store credit for our entire purchase, knowing that the couch should have lasted much longer. He was very understanding and went out of his way to do the right thing; much appreciated! We worked with Cindy and found a completely different sectional in plush purple. It is FANTASTIC! We had a slight delay in delivery due to COVID--19, but everything worked out beautifully. From the owner, designers right to the delivery guys - all were polite, thoughtful and clearly had our best interest in mind, both within our budget and quality of their product. They stood behind the furniture and I have zero hesitation recommending Schoener Interiors to anyone. Do it, your home will look great. read more

We were in Seattle for a weekend to see our son. While waiting for a restaurant to open for lunch, we stopped at Henredon Schoener. My wife fell in love with a bowl. Yes, it was a bit expensive side, but it was really pretty. The sales person was helpful without being pushy or annoying. We asked them to ship it to our home in California. The bowl came totally destroyed, even though it was packaged really well. We called the store. They were great. We sent pictures. The new bowl arrived yesterday unbroken. No hassles, no problems So the net is, we would buy more stuff there in a heartbeat. We think Pottery Barn should look to Henredon Schooner as a model of good service. read more

They have beautiful things and they can be friendly, but they really are tailoring their experience to rich rich filthy stinking Bill Gates rich. Now mind you, I have money to spend on furniture, but everything needed surcharges or proof of promised multi-piece-discount when I bought with them. I bought 6 pieces in a single trip -- I know they weren't $10k beds, but you're the only store in the area that sells from a furniture manufacturer I love and have always wanted so I sucked it up and answered all your demeaning questions that made me feel like I didn't deserve to be wasting your time spending my money at your store. Let alone charging for delivery on a floor-sample rather rather than making me wait 2 more months of other people pawing it over when the other 5 pieces are on order. Sad but true, I'm definitely not their normal clientelle cause I'm just a lowly software engineer. I just hope that they are able to get me my furniture without any other charges added on. read more

We spent almost $2000 for a pair of tall thin cabinets. We loved their look. They delivered and set them up for us so we didn't have a chance to look at the back of the cabinets. When we finally had to move them we saw they were made of cheap pressed fiberboard instead of solid wood. Very disappointing read more

I have been a customer of H&S since 2008. Their service is amazing. I enjoy working with the designers on helping me create new themes for my rooms. Every home I have moved to has H&S all over it :). I have bought everything from furniture and art for my living rooms, dinning rooms and bedrooms, to lighting and of course tableware, the pieces are timeless. However, what is really noteworthy about engaging with H&S is their during and after sales service. I have purchased many chandeliers from them and they even help me change the light bulbs when I call, oh and while they do that they help me clean them as well. They make you feel like part of the family and no task is too small! I highly recommend H&S and when you are there ask for Brent, he will take care of you! read more

Typical old-school mid to mid-high showroom. Catering to older customers and Chinese customers. I am doing design work in the area and came in to buy some last minute items for two installs. I was offered a 10 percent discount as a trade professional. On a new job I was working on I suggested an indecisive client go into the showroom to look around. He told the sales people there he was working with a designer and they told him if he bought items then, instead of with his designer, they would give him a larger discount; a sleazy move. My client speaks poor English and came back to me claiming they sold him two consoles at 50 percent off. After reviewing his order I realized he mistook 50 percent down as 50 percent off. I did find, however, that they sold to him at 20 percent off. 10 percent more than what they extend to trade professionals. I have direct stocking dealer relationships with the same companies they sell and I had to explain the practice of showrooms such as these charging full retail price (which nobody does) and discounting it in order to make the customer believe they are getting a deal, when in reality they are not, as a quick google search shows the same piece being sold for less than they offered him at multiple sites, and their sale price is also around 5 percent higher than I would sell to my customers. Showrooms like these put designers in bad positions and damage the relationship between the two. They also still practice dated sales tactics that are deceptive to customers. read more

We live in Chicago but found this incredible store on one of our vacations years ago. We now visit Schoener Interiors every time we need to buy furniture. Specifically, Brent has assisted us on several occasions in ordering custom pieces - he has an uncanny ability to truly listen to what the client wants and suggests exactly what is needed. His follow up is beyond impeccable. If there is an issue or question he will even reach out on his day off just to ensure the client is satisfied. We could not be happier and already have our next couple of pieces to order planned out when we visit Seattle again. read more

Personally, I have worked with Henredon & Schoener on four major design, build and home furnishing projects. Henredon & Schoener is the only firm I will work with. In my opinion, they are 'the best of the best' in their industry. Their creative design ideas, clear communication styles, customer service philosophies, and detailed followup before, during and after project completion are unmatched and unique and sets them apart from all others. Their performance is polished. In the design phase they take time to understand the likes/dislikes of the customer. Their designs incorporate what they hear the customer say. About 7 years ago, we purchased a home that needed a lot of furnishings. I was always hesitant to try Henredon Schoener because I thought there would be no way I could afford to buy anything in there and maybe it was too elegant for my taste. I left a message for one of the designers to call me just to chat about my needs and if there was anything they could do for me. Linda Schoener called me immediately and made a visit to my home to get a feel for my taste and talk budget. Linda listened to what was important to me and reassured me if I didn't find something on her showroom, she could certainly source pieces to fit my taste and budget. I know their showroom can sometimes feel as though you couldn't use the pieces in a "regular" home, but they have tons of options to source interesting and unique pieces. Linda was very accommodating, gave me options for a wide range of pricing and delivery was on time and the delivery team did a wonderful job making sure everything was perfect before leaving. When we listed the home for sale, everyone that came through loved the furniture and we actually ended up selling the custom sectional with the home. Four years later, we're in Boise, Idaho and selling a home here with the same pieces we had in Kirkland. Once again, with a broker's open house and a public open house, the furnishings were the topic of conversation. My realtor called me in the middle of the open house to ask me if I would share my source of the fabulous pieces because she had so many requests for the information. Our home is pending sale, but one of the buyer's offers came with the stipulation they keep the furniture. Nope, I'm not parting with any of these pieces! read more
