We exchanged multiple texts, which included specific questions from her and photos of myself from me, so she'd understand my skins tone, hair, etc. I didn't have a specific "look" that I was going for and wanted a more natural look with a little bit of a "wow" factor but not super glam. She showed up with anything she could possibly need, including a makeup chair and special lighting. She was such a nice woman with a great rapport, did an amazing job, I felt great, and got tons of compliments on my hair and makeup! After the COVID years and our spectacular - but brutal weather, I realize my face was actually peeling - odd but true. So I wandered over to checked out Marisa's new salon. I was nervous, because I haven't had my hair cut in 3 years and the last time I trusted someone they cut my hair into chunks. I have long (lower back level), wave-like, curly hair but it's chooses its exact personality. The top likes to curl "Susie-Q" curls (ringlets if you will). While the bottom likes to go straight and the middle is somewhere between. Natalie became one with my hair. At one point she dropped to a knee to get to the bottom of the beast. All the while asking me "how much do YOU want off" and "how would YOU like your hair" and "where does YOUR hair part." Between my direction and the beast curls she gave me a BEAUTIFUL cut. The layers are so strategically placed that they even out my total curl. She did not cut more than I wanted. Then she gave me a blowout. Never had one of those but my hair looks AMAZING. Can I just not wash it forever to keep it like this?? I kid. Beyond the amazing cut the salon was clean, the other staff & owner greeted me, they use heavenly smelling Bumble & Bumble products. At Vintage, they start out with a scalp massage with essential oils before they wash your hair -- a pleasant surprise! Vanessa explained each of the products she put in my hair and was detailed and thorough with the cut. I was so happy that I ended up making my next appointment right there in the salon. Just a heads up: they book quite a few weeks out in advance for Saturdays, which are quite popular.
