I was shocked by how quick and painless the service she provided was! (No seriously, NO post wax sensitivity! And she has a regular and sensitive wax option ) This is absolutely going to be my new spot and I'm putting everyone I know onto Madies. I want to kindly give a 1 star review. I am beyond pissed with my experience with the fake a** woman there. It was my first and only time going. It was a month ago. First off when I asked her how much the acne facial was she said "ahh $75" I knew it sounded off but I went through with it (it was $175 at the end when I paid). She literally hurt my face so bad when she did the extractions. I was bruised for the next few days. It was just an awful and uncomfortable service overall. I only went to this place because the glam squad was not available that day. There was so much more than this I was not happy with but it's not worth my time to write about it all. read more

I've spent all summer with the breeze whipping through my hair....on my legs. Quarantine changed my self-care habits, I must say. But yall, I'd had ENOUGH. I live in the area so was just perusing waxing salon's by reviews and lo-and-behold, Madies was the holy grail. I called and made an appt for the next day. The salon itself is bright and clean! Madie wore a mask, there was sanitizer by the door and plexi over the check out counter. I was in and out in under and hour and for what my overgrown furby body needed, this is impressive. I needed a leg wax and major help in the bikini area. I haven't had a wax in AGES so I was nervous and wouldn't shut up. Madie made me feel so comfortable! She was quick and direct but also so gentle. No burning, no spots missed, and I feel back to my pre-quarantine self. Madie is a gem and I'll definitely be going back! Just a side note based on reviews I've seen for all kinds of businesses in our neighborhood: I can't imagine how tough it is running a business, especially like a salon, during these times. Wow this is a great little salon! Maddie the owner and operator is such a kind and talented professional! Great service, you can call ahead for an appt (which I would do - she is busy and is can tell has a lot of loyal customers!) same day. I had a wax. Price was fair (cheaper than European Wax Center, more expensive than hole in the wall spots) and service was quick and painless - I got the sensitive wax. Note that it is roller style wax with cloth strips, not the vat of wax with popsicle stick type. Maddie is such a careful waxer I'm sure it would be painless or close to painless with the regular wax too. There are other salons closer to my apartment but I'll gladly walk the quarter mile here any time! I believe they are full service: nails, Wax, hair, facials. Love it, thanks Maddie! read more

Madie is AMAZING! Can we talk about the quality of service. Madie was super friendly, fast & truely cares about your result. I had a few ingrown hairs and she had the tools to remove my ingrown hair. It hurt like a mother but now im free of ingrown hair. Madie offers 3 different styles of waxing; regular, chocolate wax & pink sensitive wax. The pink and chocolate are similar just different colors & they cost $5 more than regular sugar waxing. They do accept cards but its a $3 fee. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I used to come here years ago when I lived in the area to get my brows threaded, but they messed them up pretty badly (shape was uneven, skin under my brow was cut up) and I never went back. I decided to give them another shot about a month ago and I've had really good experiences so far. I've had my brows threaded twice and they look great. I've also had a pedi and honestly it was the best my toes ever looked! The shape was perfect and it lasted longer than most other places. While I was there I couldn't help but notice the attractive waxing prices ( I've got a lot of hair for a middle-eastern chick :P ) , but so I had to make a point to come in and give it a try . Absolutely terrible experience today! I went there to see Madie for eyebrows and lip waxing and there was a client in the room. She said 5 minutes to her client and took me instead. I mean I appreciate the fact that considering my service is shorter and giving me a quick service but I would rather wait to get a service that has quality. She rushed and literally finished in 2 minutes including threading the bottom part of my eyebrows. When I came home, I had to clean up. Honestly one of the worst Brazilians I've ever gotten. I've been getting Brazilians at EWC for years but wanted to try something cheaper and closer. Big mistake. I did the sensitive wax and it hurt so much, I attributed it to the amount of time I had gone without a wax but a few days later, the skin on my lips started PEELING. In all my years of waxing that has never happened before. I also told the lady to leave a triangle in the front and she looked confused and went on to (messily) take a huge chunk that went to the middle front, making it pretty much impossible to leave a triangle. She was also incredibly condescending and annoyed at the pain I was in. Overall, she was sloppy and rude. Not sure about the other services but I definitely wouldn't come back for a wax. read more

Got a Brazilian done at Madies. My first experience getting a Brazilian was terrible. I went to a location in the city and was almost in tears at the pain. Walking in, the shop is spacious and clean. I told Madie this was only my second time so I may react like a baby. Honestly it hurt but it was bearable and it was super fast. Madie made me feel comfortable and even gave me some tips. I trust the owner with my eyebrows she shapes them exactly how I like them. The pedicures are impossible to book but if you get lucky enough to have one you won't regret it. Super affordable ($12) and they soak your feet as well as put a pedicure station sanitary plastic so no worries about fungus or dirtiness. I had never been here before but my nail girl Tania started working here and I have to take the 30 minute trip from my house to have my pedicure done. NO ONE does a pedicure like Tania. I have never done my eyebrows throughout the almost 20 years I've been alive but being there when I get my toes done makes me consider it when Maddie seems to do such a great job with her threading.
