We're from out of town and our senior pup had an emergency. They had an opening and everyone was absolutely wonderful. Veterinarian was thorough and knowledgeable and treated us with care. My dog just gave birth to a litter of puppies. although it was just yesterday I noticed she has been panting a lot and wanted to consult with my vet about if she thought this was normal or if I should bring her in. I believe a women named Pam answered the phone. She was so rude and told me " I don't know the answer to your question. I'm not a vet tech and they are busy. you need to call somebody else" to which I responded "you want me to call another vet, when you guys are my vet? she immediately changed her tune and said "oh... wait a minute. let me take you name and number and I'll get back you." a few minutes later I get a call. different women. and she did answer my questions but when we finished I asked for the girls name that i had just spoken to previously on the phone. she wouldn't tell me her name. she just said she" yeah she didn't know the answer and were slammed. Anymore questions?" I have NEVER had this kind of treatment here but the way I treated today by these two women was enough! I get being busy, and not being able to answer my question right away but their tones, attitude, and just general lack of professionalism was just unreal. I'm trying to look out for my baby and make sure that I'm doing the right thing for her and you tell me "call someone else" before you even know that YOU WERE MY VET? whats the point in having a vet if I can't ask you questions about needing to bring my dog in or not? I've used this vet clinic for two years since relocating to Madison. My first experience was when my dog, of 19 years, was passing away. I was distraught, they comforted and were very kind as my child took her last breath. All this after they were closed for the day. Additionally, they waived the afterhours fee. I feel the staff and vet demonstrate compassion and service excellence. I would highly recommend. read more

I have been going there a long time. I really liked the old vet there, but I guess he passed. The new vets are good too. Their prices are reasonable, about average, and they don't hard sell you on things you don't need. The location is convenient. I agree, there has been a time or two where there has been some professionalism issues, but overall the care has been good. One time I set up an appointment and there were too many animals there, I had to bring my pet back in the car. It appeared some animals and people were hanging out, not all there for a visit. Once some stitches on a cat came loose too, but they healed. But I would say overall, I have been satisfied. They really shine on being adaptable to customer needs. I have never had any serious complications with the pets taking them there, and I am a regular. read more

This clinic is unethical, immoral and unprofessional. I took my dog to this place for a spay. I did this through the shelter I adopted her from. I also paid for This surgery through the shelter, but when I got there, there were several "additional charges", I called the shelter and they were surprised but said, after calling the clinic, that the charges were valid. While in their care for her spay, this clinic decided to perform an abortion on my dog, without my notification or permission. I had no way of knowing she even could have been pregnant, as I had just adopted her and she hadn't been around other dogs, that weren't fixed, since I adopted her. I called the day of my dogs surgery and they told me on the phone that "She was just fine!" "Everything went great!" "She was perfect!" The next day I go to pick her up, and am at the register to pay when in no kind terms, they decide to inform me that I would need to pay a pregnant dog fee. My dog had been pregnant but they took care of it. I was dumbfounded, shocked and had no idea what to say or do... So I asked them to clarify further and from what I understand they didn't bother to check if she was pregnant in any way, they then cut her open at which point the puppies died. They killed her puppies, and then they hid what they did, until they wanted paid for killing her puppies. I was so shocked and I had to get my baby out of there. I knew I wouldn't get her if I didn't pay, so I paid and left. I got in my car and looked at my bill and they did not have the heartgaurd medicine, heartworm test, or nexgaurd medicine that I requested be administered, on my bill. I went back in and they said to bring her back in and they would do those things, because they had simply forgotten when she was in their care the whole day before I picked her up. I told them I would go elsewhere. My husband and I went back later that evening, after getting my poor baby home safe, to confront the vet and she wasn't there, but the ladies that were there pretty much said that they didn't care if I we were upset and one of the ladies said that this happens with "shelter pets". If my dog had been an AKC registered dog that I had gotten for $1000 would they have done this ? I have no idea, but I can say that it didn't sound like it. I was also told she was no more than 7 days pregnant, which is actually physically impossible. I wrote a review on Facebook about this whole upsetting event. They responded very rudely saying that they were taking care of over population issues, by killing living puppies... I replied to their comment letting them know what I thought about all the things they said to me and that I would be in to discuss this whole mess with the vet later that day. She conveniently wasn't there, even though she was to be there until 5 and it was only 3 when I went to talk to her. I plan to go in on Monday and wait until she's there and I will speak with her. I would like a refund and an apology, both of which I will likely not get but we will see!
