My parents both passed away in rapid succession in the fall of 2017. Pretty quickly, I knew I had to sell their house. In a panic and a whirlwind of devastation, I hired the first realtor I could find--a mistake I would quickly come to regret. As things soon stagnated with this first realtor, I desperately sought out other recommendations and I got Anthony's contact info from another realtor in NJ that I had worked with in the past. I first called Anthony in January 2018 on MLK day to learn more about him and his services. It quickly became a conversation for me to vent my frustrations with my current situation, and a sanity check for me to see if I was expecting too much from this agent-client relationship. Anthony listened and reassured me. A consummate professional, he explained how he worked and what I could expect should we work together. He further explained we needed to wait until my current contract ran out before we could begin, but once we start, we will hit the ground running and make something happen very quickly. He told me the importance of "pricing a property to perfection;" that pricing it just right will make all the difference. He outlined his philosophy of "telling a story" about the house and eliciting an emotional response from prospective buyers using stunning photography, and most importantly, video. Targeted and strategic, he explained how to harness the power of social media--YouTube, Facebook, Twitter--to cast a very wide net to find our ideal buyers. What I remember most at the time was his openness and honesty, his reassurances and professionalism. He also promised to never make excuses--as my current realtor was doing with me daily. After that first conversation, I was already convinced he was the agent for me. But due to my current situation, I needed to wait a few more very painful weeks. I finally met Anthony face to face in the house to begin. Even more impressive in person, we discussed strategy, pricing, approach, targeted marketing and social media. As soon as my current arrangement expired, I hired him immediately and we began. Anthony was at the house with a film crew, videographer and drone operator. Pictures and video was posted within hours and Anthony already had showings within the first few days. As we started getting offers, I saw Anthony really shine as his negotiating skills were on another level. 6 days in, and we had an accepted offer. I was very pleased but strangely slightly disappointed as I was enjoying watching him do "his thing" so much! The next few weeks were a rapid succession of the necessary steps after an offer is accepted--inspection, appraisal, title search, etc. Anthony was on top of every single one of these--even more so then the lawyers and banks involved1 He was my complete funnel of information and he held my hand throughout the entire process. Whatever curveballs or unforeseens that arose-- Anthony was already ahead of it. I couldn't believe how easy he made it for me, and I actually looked forward to hearing from him daily. We'd text each other or speak on the phone multiple times a day and it was like talking to a lifelong friend. At the end of May, we finally closed. When one final curveball was thrown at the closing table, Anthony once again took charge to get it done--he got in his car to drive 45 mins from Bklyn to Staten Island and back to fix the issue. Anthony has raised the bar for all real estate agents. To say he goes above and beyond is an understatement. His knowledge and expertise is world class and his business savvy is rare. Lawrence Wong quite simply, stood out as the best realtor Brooklyn has to offer. His organic rankings are excellent (meaning people find listings on his site easily), his social media presence was strong, and I could tell he put a lot of work into his listings. His warmth, communication style, and knowledge of the area is formidable.  He spent hours answering our questions, providing data regarding how many homes they sell, how long their listings typically stay on the market, and providing tons of info on comps in the area.  Lawrence made the process incredibly easy and took extra steps many other Realtors don't, but should.
