The Blair/Clawson library is small but nice. The hours are a bit crazy (they're only open certain days, and I believe in the summer they're actually closed the entire weekend) but they're open Saturdays, which is fine for me. I've been here two or three times now and each time, service was fast (picking up a book on hold, and checking it out). The library is small but it seems to have a decent collection of books. I did see DVDs were $1 per week, I believe, so I'll stick to my own collection + Netflix for that. Overall, cute little library. I appreciate the easy parking situation, as well (they have their own lot).

They can get books you request in a pretty timely matter, are linked to other libraries to fill requests for popular or difficult to find titles. I visit at least a couple times a month and am in two book clubs. They also host making events and artists. Can't say enough good things. Love this place.

What I really love about this library is that it's an a suer convenient location that is waking distance from a lot of great bakeries and restaurants in Ferndale. The library itself is quiet but not to a deafening degree. There's some light chatter and it gets a lot of sunlight which is also a plus. The staff is super friendly and there are plenty of computers and seating available. They also have a kids corner with books, games, and other activities to keep kids occupied. I also love that there's a lot of different seating options with spacious countertops for work and individual seating if you want to study alone. Highly recommend getting some work done here or just stopping by to dig into a good book !

They have a tiny isle in the back of used books for sale but for this library you need to drive a few miles to visit their Friends of the Library to purchase books, dvd's, puzzles, etc. They did have one motorized scooter, which my mom could utilize. They have nice wide isles for navigating the scooter. There was plenty of comfortable seating. I saw one printer and copier located at the front entrance. They have a free public parking garage for you to use, which is very nice during inclement weather.

Staff is friendly and the building gets the job done. My only question - why are you locking the drop boxes on days the library is closed? The drop box exists outside of the library so that you can interact with it without having to visit the library. The library being closed should not impact being able to drop off a book in a bin outside the library. What are we doing here? Stop that.

My granddaughter joined '1,000 book before Kindergarten', and still loves going there at 8 years old. There's a play area she enjoys when visiting me. I've gone to countless activities for years, and I really like that the staff is incredibly helpful. They are no longer open early at 6 am, nor do they stay open all day, Saturday's they close at 2, and Sundays they're closed all day.

The employees at the front desk were rude, unhelpful, and unfriendly. Today, I waited for around 15 minutes while one employee kept looking at her computer and another was on the phone. Even when I finally asked for assistance, the response and attitude were not welcoming or professional. As a city community center that serves families and residents, I believe staff should be respectful, cooperative, and willing to help people with basic questions. Instead, I left feeling upset and disappointed by how we were treated. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving customer service for families visiting the center.

I do, however, come here a few times a year for the Friends of the Library's used book sales. These occur on the first Saturday of the month throughout the fall, winter, and spring. They've done a good job recently getting the books organized, whereas before it was a little disorienting. There are tons and tons and tons of discarded James Patterson and John Grisham, but I usually can find things more my taste. Paperback books are 25 cents, and Hardcover books are $1. The volunteers who run the sale are usually pretty nice, and sometimes quite adorable.
